Does Chris Wood celebrate if he scores? I dont mind celebration just not over the top. Did great for us in our champions season 14. The Burnley away game was a screamer. Also helped leicester get their first point back in the big time. -

Draw tonight... horrible feeling it could bore 0-0 statement hope im wrong. Not bad result picking up 7 points in three isnt a disaster. -
Think i bought the last one, came up sold out refreshed it came up with one seat left snapped it up. Seconds later sold out and remained that.

One outgoing, john Gregory in an interview admitted that Muzzy Izzet nearly left us in 2001. Gregory done the business with Izzet to join Villa, i think even Gregory spoke to Leicester agreed fee of like £2millon. Lucky for us, Deadly Doug pulled the plug on the deal, refusing the sign the cheque. Ironic thing is in 2004 Izzet joined villas rivals Birmingham.

Sutton to Celtic, was interesting i think there was talk that MON wanted to bring Sutton to Leicester, however the summer we would have gone for him. MON joined Celtic and naturally signed in him for Celtic instead. Possibly he would have been thought of as replacement for Heskey.

Defo screws uefas plans if a few of main elite get knocked early on. I somehow dont think they wanted real Madrid v psg being play off game or Barcelona v inter milan.
-
Uefa maybe getting worried with this new format when looking at the top 8 at present. Only arsenal and dortmund of like main elite in their. Dont think they'd imagine villa and monaco leading the way after three games. Theyll be hoping for better results tomorrow night.

Zoltan Gera from West Brom, was going to be a like huge statement signing for Manadric to show he meant business to get Leicester to the Premier league, i seem to recall a lot of bids were being made but West Brom weren't having it. I think when Allen was asked about in a press conference he knew nothing about it... but he made a comment like there's a lot of things going on even i dont know really know... sums Allens time.

Zaha we tried numerous times including this summer. I dont know if Zaha just aint interested in joining us point plank.

Ryan Kent is not got a club, seemed okay at Rangers i know that doesnt say much but freebie and extra winger option cant go wrong.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread

Weirdly both Villa and Blues are playing at home tonight in champions league. West Midlands police got their work cut out with a few thousand from Italy present. Surprised Birmingham game not moved to tomorrow night. -
Odds really stacking on Martin to face the sack. Can imagine if he does go its a horse race between Potter and Moyes to land the job.

Roy Cropper is a blue, Roy Cropper is a blue, he hates Corrie lol!

Danny Mills to Leicester, in his show with the under cosh can't remember if it was 2001 or 2003 when were premier league. Mills was set to join Leicester on loan after a major fall out at Leeds. Just as Mills was set to join, Leeds postponed the deal. Done us a favour Danny Mills ain't that great.

He was offered a huge contract, but he seemed quite happy at Watford. Its possible if he had joined us and was playing champions league football he may have got an England call up.
-
I can imagine in wales unless you support Wrexham, i bet there disliked a lot more by all welsh clubs.
-
Troy Deeney in 2016, turned us down to remain at Watford despite us playing champions league.

Emile Heskey nearly rejoined us in 2011. Everything was agreed between Heskey and Sven an emotional return to Leicester, a one year deal with an option of a second if Leicester got promoted. Heskey had a year left on his contract at Villa, he was hoping to agree to cancel the final year to allow him to move to Leicester. Things changed McLeish was named as manager at Villa, Lerner only gave him a small transfer budget which meant things would be tight. McLeish then pretty much begged him to stay as he knew he would be struggling for players, so unless Leicester coughed up a transfer fee... heskey was going nowhere. The summer of 2012 heskey did train with Leicester for the pre season but no deal was offered by Pearson.
-
That saga cost Allen his job, Allen didn't want him and told Hasselbaink so which scuppered the deal which peed off Manadric who sacked him first thing in the morning. The night after Forest incident which seen a foxes player taken ill.
-
Tim Cahill im sure was on our radar when Sven was here. I think his contract was due to end at Everton, Leicester thought we could get on a freebie in the summer but Cahill got offered an year extension. Think Sven signed Neil Danns in his place.
-
That was similar to Billy Sharp deal. A deal was accepted by Bristol City for like 1.5mil, Maynard said no claiming he was happy at Bristol City. Then deadline day he signs for West Ham. I dont mind players turning us down but to claim their being loyal and then to join another club is another thing.

This may get moved to the transfer thread, but can anyone remember seasons that past where particular Leicester transfers were signed and sealed only for whatever reason the transfer never came to be plus what was the outcome, did we miss out or we were lucky. Likely 2011 will be a huge one, as Sven bless him had a shopping list of about 50 players he wanted to sign that summer sadly half didn't come to be. Here's a few a to get us going.... Billy Sharp- January 2012- Nigel's first window back, seen us chase the championship leading goalscorer Billy Sharp from Doncaster Rovers. Naturally Billy was a wanted man but it only seemed like Leicester were willing stump up the £2million wanted by Doncaster Rovers. Leicester gave in and bidded in the £2million which was accepted by Doncaster Rovers... Deal seemed like good business for the proven Championship striker. Just as sounded like Nigel got his man, Sharp turned us down! stating he was happy at Rovers... 48 hours later. Sharp turns up at Southampton! His loyality to Donny lasted two days. Sharp would later gain promotion. Edgar Davids- Summer 2009- After departing Ajax, the dutch legend found himself out of contract. At the time it was said Davids was quite keen on a return to England, having spent two years at Spuds a few years before. A few clubs expressed interest, including Notts County! Once again Sven attempted to bring the dutchman to Nottingham to potiental be the player manager at Meadow Lane. Davids said no to Notts County after citing he wanted to play and live in London which kind of explained why he turned down the foxes also. I'm not too sure how much Nigel really wanted Edgar, may have been more Mandaric wanting the signing to happen. Supposedly Davids attended number training session as a guest. Davids I believe he announced his retirement, but then changed his mind a year later turning up at Crystal Palace in the championship.. Lets just say the Davids of 2009 was far from his best and his short spell at Palace a year later showed.

Wrexham on tele again... against Harrogate isnt exactly exciting tele viewing seeing as its an all efl tie. Can imagine a few non league clubs are dissapointed to have been snubbed. Notts County v Alfreton im surprised was overlooked.

Watched the first half an hour in a turkish bar, soon as the second went in for Soton finished my drink and left expecting the worse. Headed back to the beach, 30 minutes later passed another bar seen it was 1-2, seen Vardy slot away the pen stuck around to see the winner, the only person in the bar celebrating the winner lol. Things I do for leicester Weirdly the last time i was abroad in Benidorm, i seen Leicester batter away at Southampton 4-1 last year.
