Tonight showed how we need a proper manager in charge, Carsley a decent coach but not strong enough character with these players.

Oxford United Kassam Stadium is another terrible one to throw in, the stadium is super soulless miles outside of Oxford and pain to get to and even harder to get away from. I seem to recall you have to wait 30 minutes after the final whistle for a bus to collect fans to take them back to the city centre, on arrival it's just the one bus in fact it's the only bus you can catch if wanna get back after the game. It's only three sided, no pubs or entertainment around the ground.

Best in terms of stadium and city itself.... so tough.... not many tickets both. I wanna say Brighton, due to you can't beat a day out the seaside away no matter what time of the year. AMEX is an impressive looking stadium, but atmosphere wise it's dreadful. I'm going Newcastle United you know, St James is impressive stadium, ground smack bang in the city, top atmosphere okay city with an awesome night out. Toon number one for me! Worst... too many... someone mentioned Wigan which won't be far... the stadium ain't the problem. The town of Wigan is bleak and depressing. Plus Wigan even in the top flight could never fill 50% of the stadium. Watford is another , terrible ground and town... and bad memories of that place.

First time Harborough i can imagine have played a team that's once won the Fa Cup!

Think the problem with the recent dislike of the joker is that its a musical. Naturally people who dont like musicals are not going to like. Bit of strange move considering how good first one was... sadly i think this will bomb... musicals aint for everyone. As a musical its probably a good movie. I haven't seen it yet and not sure i want which is a shame as im just not musical fan and wanted to see a joker sequel that doesn't involve singing and dancing.

Wasn't treated well by Arsenal, they seemed very quick to pull the plug on him soon as things got shaky. He managed to get them to a Europa League Final, only to beaten by fellow English side. Their first European final since 2006, Arteta moves in their... yep he's done a good himself getting Arsenal in the title race in the last three seasons, the closest for a long time.... however he hasn't got Arsenal to a final since he won the fa cup in 2020 and no silverware since 2020... not counting the community shield. Does make you think was Emery already starting to get things in motion and would they have won in a title if he remained. Who knows...? Probably he went to Arsenal the wrong time. Villa is the right size club as would someone like a Newcastle United, clubs with ambitions but with less expectations compared to the main elite. If you look back at Emery's success the clubs he's won with have not exactly been the main elite. If Emery was to leave for a Man United, he'd struggle I don't think the United supporters would appreciate or buy into his philosophy similar to Arsenal, soon as form dips the fans turn.

Getting to round one would be mega for the club, but even a replay at gigg lane may bring some extra cash. Bury do still attract a good 3k at home.

Heather St Johns v Nuneaton Boro will certainly be interesting game next, even though Boro are only fifth they just three points behind table toppers Heather but Boro have two games in hand. 250-300 expecting to make the trip from Nuneaton, could have been more but surprisingly club not running a coach. A bit of a missed opportunity as I do feel more would have came if a coach was laid on. I reckon a good 600 could be present for that. Pitty Harborough game is on the same day, love to have gone to that also.

International Break Blues Anyone ?

More a better reason to get down your local non league club, if you got one that is. Can imagine if you live in leicester itself your local team non league wise would Friar lane and epworth? -
Next England Manager?
Leicesterpool replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in General Football and Sport
The Fa could be waiting as you say, no rush yet. They rushed it before and turned out to be a mess when they hired McClaren to replace Sven. -
They shown potential in MON years, but the top four at that time was too hard for them to break into.
-
I think read somewhere Gerrard spent more money Emery on that Villa squad yet when he was fired they were 17th... shows what a fraud Gerrard is as a manager. Wins a Scottish league title and suddenly your touted as one of top managers in the country 🙄
-
Depends how long they keep emery. There's certs to win a cup under him. Surprised his name isnt mentioned for the England job.
-
Well celtic get there usual champions league hammerings whilst Villa first game back in europe for 41 years and its two wins in two 😆 Credit to villa, they deserve that seeing Harry Kane fail again is worth a giggle.
-
Strange they choose hinckley considering much more closer teams to brum
-
Right now League Two side Notts County would probably but in a better performance than Celtic would, their tin pot league they play in getting shown up again.
-
Celtic getting stuffed 1-7 in Germany with still ten to go. Come on Dortmund go for 8!
-
Unless it's played at nearby Guiseley, they have been drew on the 12th I believe.
-
Fixture could reversed back to Kettering.
-
Some belter ties in the draw to choose from Tamworth v Macclesfield Biggleswade v York City Harborough Town v Bury Gainsborough Trinity v Boston Utd Shifnal Town or Hednesford Town v Gateshead

Things a bit stressful at the moment, yesterday my dad took ill. He was suppose to be travelling with me to Bridgnorth along with mum and girlfriend. Woke up saying he was feeling dodgy, just very tired and exhausted. So he pulled at the trip, whilst me and my gf still went on to Bridgnorth. My dads health didn't get any better, he said he was started to feel out of breath so decided to take him to a and e. After so many tests turned out he got multiple blood clots, he's stayed over since and been oxygen since. Went to see him this afternoon, didn't look too great. Was talking and watching the tele. But seeing your dad on oxygen and having to see your dad needing assistance to be walked to the loo ain't good. He hasn't been well for while, last few months he said he's felt dodgy and exhausted all the while and know why.
-
Boro win at Bridgnorth yesterday... only 2-0 though. Playing second from bottom against a team which is took a few hammerings. Have to say Bridgnorth didn't look that bad, surprised by league position from that display. Over 210 travelled from Nuneaton, not bad for step six football. I'm expecting a huge crowd for critical clash at Heather St Johns in the then two weeks.

I read somewhere Maggie Smith was always the first choice in Harry Potter but originally she turned it down, they took to role Helen Mirren she said "no" but then Julie Andrews she was tempted by the role but she wouldn't commit to seven film deal. They went back to Smith who said yes. So imagine Julie Andrews as professor maggie.

Maggie Smith as sadly passed away, fantastic actress. Certainly one of England's finest talents. Most will know her for Harry Potter and Downtown but in her early years she did a lot of west end doing Shakespeare. Build a long friendship with Kenneth Williams before his death. Rip Maggie
