I would be extremely happy with RVN. If we wanted another manager similar to Maresca he is probably the next best thing we can get right now.

I genuinely think the reason we didnt appoint Potter in the end is because he wanted an England job clause. From what I remember at the time almost everything was agreed but then they couldnt agree on something.

I think the board saw the Chelsea game as a dead rubber and didnt want the new manager starting with such a game hence why hes been sacked now.

Potter must be making some positive noises for this to happen.

This thread is pointless. He’s here until March at the earliest regardless of results or performances because our board are incapable of making a decision.

This will be one of the worst signings we’ve made in years. I dont think he will be a bad player but he will get a long high paid contract and if/when we go down it will cripple us. We should not be spending any serious money at all on players with 0 resale value, not in our current predicament.
