  1. Joined dont know what to do next
  2. It seems politicians are less popular in this thread.
  3. Have MP's ever voted for a cut in salary for themselves?
  4. OK Maybe Alf is right in a way, there is not enough changes but basically nowadays they all shit in the same trough. Oxford/Cambridge same clubs etc. Look at someone like Rees Mogg. Like a bloke from the 19yh century. Lives in a country mansion. What does he know about struggling on a minimum wage? He voted for cuts in disabled benefits. I say they are basically the same in all parties because I do not want to be accused of being biased. And that is why I rarely post here. I have no faith in politicians even those in the Party I vote for.
  5. Had many people say it to me. Its not just this this country. You just have to look at America and see who is in charge. Here we have a Foreign Secretary who discussed sensitive material with a complete stranger. What a joke. The majority have nothing in common with the likes of us. Voting is like walking on a bed of nails. It doesnt matter where you put your cross you still get a pr&&k.
  6. Has anyone mentioned Boris Johnson What a buffoon. Houses of Parliament is the new Bedlam it seems. You have to smile at the lot of them. Worrying about it takes up too much time and stress. Nothing will change whoever is in power for the average working man/woman.
  7. Doing something better. On an all day CAMRA Mild day tour. Will do what I can to avoid it.. One pub in Derby (and I suspect many more across the country) has declared a RWFZ and any conversation re it will be punished by a donation in the charity box. There is also a Cup Final will try and watch that if we get back to a pub or home in time.
  8. Knew it was spelt wrong but no spell check appeared.Thought someone would notice.
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 10/100 My Time 205 seconds All guesses. Took longer scrolling down for the questions.
  10. Watched Molly's game a film based on a true story and a book my Molly Bloom. She was a potentional olympic skyer but was injured. Then while studying law she took jobs in a office and waitressing in and was asked to help run private high stakes poker games in LA. She branched out on her own and was eventually running the most well known poker game. She was then investigated by the FBI for illegal raking. Interesting and decent film if you like poker and entranpauers.
  11. A study that shows how the DWP are sending misleading letters preventing ESA clainants receiving the help they are entitled to. The letter is on public view at Parliament so the report is not 'made up' as some will claim. The ones that discovered it are lawyers representing a client awaiting appeal. His GP told him he could not issue a 'Fit note' which replaces a sick note for those on ESA. This is false. Read the whole report before dismissing it and take a look at who the group consists of and the work that they do. It isunfortunate that the press and media have been preoccupied at the news of a sprog appearing to report on this. https://www.z2k.org/blog/dwp-systematically-spreads-misinformation-to-doctors-about-their-patients-disability-benefits It also begs the question if those on JSA and ESA who temporally have benifits removed do they count as unemployed if not are the fall in unemployment figures misleading? The responses to this post iI will get s the reason I do not paticipate in this thread much. But if I see injustice I say.
  12. When out of work I lived on £72 a week. I would not want to do it all the time. I bought the cheapest and end of day items. Sometimes cheap soup with bread. If you mix two together its not too bad or add some mince and noodles. On state pension now wgich is more than double and I am rent and rates free. Prescriptions and discount on specs. Eye tests free because a history of glucoma in the family. So i am pretty lucky. May not be the same for everyone. I do not know the circumstances. One MP claimed around 180k in expenses in a year, then said, 'I can see no problem people going to foodbanks, we all have to tighten our belts.'
  13. My sister runs a small furniture buiding business and I beklieve pays a salary that the employees are happy with. Even to the point that they all 'muck' in with the work, loading/unload a van, cutting serving customers. They can also be relied upon to run the place if she is not there. If they were on a poor wage there would be coming and going of staff and a few sickie days.
  14. yuk. the ones in the bin.
  15. The Wheeltapper is open but the party night has been changed to Thursday because it clashed with other Loughborough events on Wednesday. It now clashes with City's game so I am going to try and get over Tuesday. The Skylink bus service runs 24 hrs and goes there so not much trouble going and coming back.
  16. no i didnt know about it. as i was typing it was freezing. sometimes happens when something is updating in the background.
  17. sorry for the typos my pc cursor was acting strange and lagging.

  20. Does this mean I will miss the finalee of the Walking Dead...or maybe even having a part in it.
  21. The ones wanting war will be the same ones who dont want refugees fleeing to the UK and USA.

  23. We don't get to hear much about this sort of thing. LA and Skid Row.
  24. I watched a film the other week about an error which led to America bombing Moscow. It came out about the same time as Dr Strangelove but was serious. It flopped at the cinemas because Dr Strangelove was a success. They could not get the pilots to stop the attack because they had instructions that it could be a trick. Even the president and wives were ignored.
