You need to let it go and move on with your life my friend. We are all well aware by now about his past and what that might mean for us. It is boring now though, and I just want us to get on with it and we will see what happens down the line.

Maybe the shock of what went down at Rangers has refocused him and made him rethink his approach, although I expect him to still be stubborn with how he wants his teams to play. Whether we like him or not, we just have to hope that the players buy into what he is selling them, and everything clicks and we can build a lot of momentum for a promotion and beyond.

There is just no way a 29 year old championship player like Chaplin is signing a 2 year deal with a League 1 club. Since when is 29 over the hill anyway? I remember reading that 28 is prime age for a midfielder. On paper, it is a good signing for us.

When I watched him for Ipswich, he was a menace and always caused teams problems. I don't think he has ever been Premier League quality, but he is a decent Championship player. We likely had to give him 3 years, otherwise he would have gone to a Championship club. I am happy with this signing, but we have to remember we are a League 1 club now, so let's have some perspective too. If we are signing Ings as well, then we have to then bring in or through, a host of talented youngsters as well

Anyone else think that if we went 1-0 down instead, we would have had a much more likely chance of winning that? You could just see and feel the whole momentum switch as soon as we scored, and not in a good way! If we are 1-0 down, Tuchel would have made positive and attacking subs, we would have kept the ball better and attacked and kept involved our two best players Kane and Bellingham. How ridiculous that we can be winning a game, but the players and Manager make it feel like a bad thing.

This is so true, and yet you could almost feel the life drain out of the players and Manager minutes after we scored and took the lead. Almost like, OH CRAPPPP we have to hang on and defend now as we FEAR losing what we have...

There should be a huge bonus written into the contract, that pays out only if the Manager wins games by more than 1 goal. I am so fed up of decades of English Managers and players having this same pathetic mentality of trying to hold onto leads no matter what.

I genuinely think Argentina were there for the taking on the counter attack. It felt like Tuchel had no clue how to react after we went 1-0 up. I don't think it even crossed his mind how we could get a second and third and kill off the game.

Would have loved to have seen two strikers put on at this point. At least have an outlet for counter attacks. It was shockingly bad game management

Not until we have a Manager that really has no fear and just wants us to go out and win games by as many goals as possible, no matter the occassion. We keep ending up with Managers that try to defend 1 goal leads no matter what. I'd love a Manager to come in and say that the history of trying to hold on to leads is over. We are in a new era of trying to kill of games with more goals. I would genuinely prefer we lost games 6-3, with continued attacking and positive subsitutions, rather than this 5 at the back and all behind the ball bollocks.

That to me, just confirms that Tuchel's inaction for those 17 minutes had a negative impact on the game as well. He should have reacted faster, and with like for like attacking substitutes. Argentina were desperate for a goal, and if we kept the ball and attacked, then we could have really pushed for second goal. Tuchel saw the momentum switch and waited for 17 minutes, and then made the wrong decision as well by going ultra defensive.

Tuchel got scared and bottled it. Simple as that. He tried desperately to protect a 1-0 lead. We can't have a Manager with that mindset. We will never win anything with a Manager who is afraid to kill the game off. Get rid. Harsh, but he will do the exact same in other big games.

Just imagine if we ever got an England Manager that said if we score 1, then our whole focus will be on getting a 2nd and 3rd and killing off the game. I can dream.

We need a Manager who drills into the players that it doesn't matter if we lose 10-1... we are NOT throwing everyone behind the ball and inviting non stop pressure all to hold to a 1 goal lead. Attack is often the best form of defence. Just think how many opportunities to get a second there would be if we had just kept the ball better and tried to attack them when they are desperate for a goal. Anyone criticising Kane and Bellingham hasn't got a clue. They are attacking players and completely useless in a team that is not attacking at all.

Until we get out of this decades long mentality of trying to hold onto 1 goal leads no matter how long is left, we will never win anything. It is such a cowardly approach to play, and doesn't deserve to win any tournament.

That was my back up plan too. Turning off at full time and forgetting football exists until start of the season.
