  1. Yup. I'd take him. Impressed me at Celtic. Been turd at Palace, but knows the Premier League well and will come straight into the squad. Different type of striker to Vardy and Daka. I would still keep Cannon though, and throw him cup games and some 10-15mins from the bench.
  2. He must be really crap in training. Bizarre that he didn't play more last season, and weird that he has barely had a sniff with Cooper either.
  3. Tom Cannon is our 20 goal man. Natural finisher who will cause havoc in the box. ...Who's with me??
  4. everyone? I think it was 50/50, as are most of these debates.
  5. I think Cannon will only go if we get someone in, so we are just replacing Nacho for Ayew. However, we are in the Premier League now and that is a very weak set of options. Ridiculous that a striker wasn't our priority position this window.
  6. This is actual insanity if the window closes and we haven't signed a striker. At his age, Vardy should be our 3rd choice/super sub this season. To rely on him as our No.1 striker at this stage in his career is crazy. I am clinging onto the hope a) we pull off a last minute loan deal for someone half decent OR b) Tom Cannon is so pissed off how little faith the club have in him, he will turn into our star striker over night out of pure anger...
  7. Please announce him, just to stop this thread descending into more weirdness!
  8. Give that man a job! Such a great professional and positive character to have around the club. Love to hear that his kids are Leicester fans too
  9. Hope to see him start Ricardo in the league now. Justin is OK, but Riccy is just a classier player and one of our best. As someone else said, Cooper really needs to get the balance of the team right, something he has failed to do so far in the league. Despite the negativity, I actually think he will start tweaking things and get us playing better over the next 10 games. That being said, we still have a pretty woeful squad for the Premier League, and will still likely be losing a large chunk of games. Not sure there will be much understanding or patience for that though. Give him another 10+ games, and let's see how he is doing then.
  10. There was a significant number here who wanted Enzo sacked last season. I don't think it matters what certain Managers do or don't. Some people just love the OTT negative life. I am sure I will get accused of lacking ambition or being a happy clapper, but I am just trying to be realistic and have some balance, especially only 2 league games, and a cup game into the Manager's job with us.
  11. There is truth in that of course, but I thought tonight that Cooper got many things right, and also showed people that some of his decisions prior to this game were probably backed up with some hard truths, i.e Mavididi is off the pace, Ayew could be a useful addition and Cooper is willing to use younger players, albeit later on. I didn't think he did much wrong tonight. Hopefully, he can get some wins in the Premier League and then there will be a shift in the OTT negative reactions to anything and everything Cooper is doing. Of course, it could go the other way, and after 10+ games, I will be one of those critics too.
  12. The debbie downers will be quiet on here tonight
  13. I see the issue when the loan player isn't good.
  14. This will save our window and make the difference in staying up.
  15. I'd take him right now
  16. I think this is a classic case of someone who thinks he is better than he is. You see that in his on field demeanour whenever we concede. Arms up and looking to blame everyone else. I actually think he is lucky he had a season in the Championship, because another season in the Premier League, I think he would have been found out, and quickly drop down the pecking order in most Premier League teams. He has his good moments, and plays with the confidence of a better player, but lacks in too many areas to be a top CB at this level IMO. However, this would not be good timing for us to lose our starting CB, despite this new development (if true) On the flip side, do we really want someone who will whinge and blame others when we are likely to be losing a lot of games this season. Maybe, Coady would be the better leader and positive influence we need in a relegation scrap, despite his own limitations. We must sign another CB if Faes does go though. So, I hope a decision is made quickly either way.
  17. It has been 2 games. If 2 players can't cope with being on the bench for 2 games, then boo hoo. Cooper has implied that Justin has worked harder and looked better than Ricardo in training, but I expect Ricardo will get his chance in the next game or so, and hopefully he proves a point and shows the manager he should be starting. Same with Mavididi. Why would Cooper play a system that he has never played before? Many were concerned that it wouldn't work with Leicester in the Premier League, as we sometimes struggled to break poor teams down in the Championship. So much so, people were calling for Enzo to be sacked during our poor run. The step-up to the Premier League is huge, and our squad has not really been improved either. We were always destined to lose a large number of games. I am all for bashing a Manager once he has had time to put his stamp on the team, but this OTT after 2 games, a 1-1 and a 1-2, is just silly at this stage.
  18. I have never liked his body language after we concede. He so often angrily throws his arms up and looks to blame everyone else. I think it is completely on brand with him to be moaning and wanting out. He thinks he is better than he is. One of those players that I am meh about, whether he stays or goes. Can still do a job for us here, but as long as we bring in a decent enough replacement, I wouldn't be fussed if he left this window.
  19. 12 month loan to a promotion pushing championship club would be ideal. I saw some promising signs from him and think he could mature into a decent striker. I actually still would have had him as our 3rd or 4th option, ahead of Daka, but he is obviously not impressing in training. We need a starting no.9 to come in this week and to keep Vardy fit.
  20. Who do you want to replace him? I am guessing you have a plan and a name in mind.
  21. I think we should hire and fire the next 3 right now. That way, we can avoid all this.
  22. Is he our scapegoat? Locked in? I don't want any swapsies later OK!
  23. 1-1? I would call Spurs a big team in terms of their squad at the moment. We won't play every game like today, we will play worse and lose heavily and play better and beat teams convincingly. That is the great but also frustrating thing about this game we love.
  24. My assessment of that is, he sees Justin and Ricardo competing for the RB spot, but Justin has been working harder and more impressive in training. Of course, we know that overall, Ricardo is the better player, so I do expect that Cooper will try Ricardo there sooner rather than later. Then, it is up to Riccy to hold down that place, and also show why so many of us think he should be starting. I don't think this is the biggest issue Cooper is facing. He needs to sign more players and then fine tune the team as best as he can.
  25. Lack of quality. Fulham have better players and a Manager and system they know well. This season is going to be extremely tough, no matter who is the Manager. He has 10 games or so to get us going, or he will be gone.
