I think he has zero motivation to play for us again. He finished his career with us in the perfect way, with appearance 500 and his 200th goal. I suspect he will end up with a 1 year deal at a lower to midtable Championship club, or perhaps Wednesday to complete his footballing journey. I'd be surprised if he goes abroad again as I think the family struggled to adapt.

IF he stays fit, then he will be a very good player to have in League 1 and the Championship. We have had some great performing over 30s before, although we have been burned many times too. Hopefully this one works out and he helps us with promotion and a push at playoffs the year after, especially if we have new owners by then.

I am just so used to it at this point, it barely registers anymore Selling the club is our only chance of survival long-term, so I pray for that and try to ignore the scary numbers.

£140 million is actually quite reasonable considering our assets and fan base, as well as recent(ish) success. That is why I suspect Top is stupidly asking for even more than that and scaring away potential buyers. Not sure Charlie Meffin has that much inside info to be honest, but it does generate views and attention for him to pretend he does.

It is if the 2nd player is a decent player in his own right. Both are great signings for a League 1 club.

The fact that Ipswich fans really like him is enough for me. I think him and Chaplin are good characters to have around and will drive standards.

Completely disagree. He is a League 1/2 standard player. We gave him too many opportunities in my opinion and we should have moved him on years ago.

Not seen anyone get that hyped. Just people saying so far so good. I think the true test for Martin will be when he loses a few games in the league, then we might see his other (highly unlikeable) side that fans of his ex clubs harp on about.

I think we are genuinely up for sale and Top has engaged Citigroup to help attract buyers, but I don't believe the story about some mysterious middle eastern firm being interested. I think it is just King Power trying to push potential investors to take a look at us now, as Top has suddenly become desperate to offload the club.

Borson hasn't got a clue. He is another of these guys that talksport and others wheel out once a week to only state the obvious and speculate. Are we supposed to believe he knew we were up for sale for the past 2 years and never said anything in all the times he has talked about us over that period?

I suspect he is out of options and things with King Power are truly dire and he just has to cut his losses now or it will only get worse.

I believe the story about Top instructing Citigroup to sound out potential buyers, but I am not convinced we have any interested buyers yet. It is great news that King Power are looking to sell, but it may take some time.
