  1. Seems strange that people are using Potter's Premier League finishes of 15th, 16th and 9th, as some sort of disqualifying offence. I'd take any of those finishes over the next 2 seasons, especially as we need to rebuild ourselves as a Premier League team again.
  2. Surely Potter would have ruled himself out by now if wasn't interested. Suspect his demands are on the higher end, so maybe why the club are still assessing other options. I think he would be a decent appointment in our situation, but can't see a number of fans given him much time or patience.
  3. This is exactly what Rudkin is telling Potter right now. Done deal.
  4. I think we are moving in the right direction. We should always be appointing a Manager based on his handsomeness.
  5. was always going to happen, as their league is flopping. Can't beat em? Buy em!
  6. That's speculation. He may not want the England job at all right now for all we know.
  7. I'd take 15th or 16th right now thanks. Brighton hadn't been in the Premier League long by that point, and so were hardly meant to be pushing for top 8 finishes. They are a different team with bigger ambitions now, but that is partly due to Potter keeping them comfortably in the Premier League whilst he was there.
  8. Who's your choice?
  9. People seriously turning their nose up at Potter?
  10. Good! Hope the Premier League have to rethink this whole thing, as it feels like they are shitting on their own doorstep with these rules. Most important thing for them, is to keep the Premier League the best in the world, whilst also not allowing clubs to bankrupt themselves with dodgy owners. Drop all charges against us!
  11. As I said before, if it is Cooper, then I think that is because our preferred choices aren't interested or too expensive. I'll get behind him if he comes in, but it is all a bit meh.
  12. I like KDH, but I don't think he is good enough for Chelsea and their aspirations. It would be a Danny Drinkwater type move for KDH as well IMO. Chelsea would probably give him a silly 7 year deal and he would barely get a sniff.
  13. ...Scott Parker! There I said it.
  14. Genuinely haven’t got a bad word to say about him. Came in, did the job asked of him. Was obviously kept in the dark on some things and that irked him. He would have jumped at Chelsea no matter what though. Think he will do well initially and get the players on board, as he did with ours. Can see him finishing 4th this season, but may struggle long-term and fans will soon tire of the style and turn on him. See ya Enzo!
  15. 5 years?! Chelsea owners learning from their mistakes I see. Sign KDH on a 10 year next. Dare ya!
  16. If it’s Cooper, that’s because our other choices rejected us. Warming to Ruud.
  17. Yup, can see Top going for Ruud. Seems more plausible than most. Anyone watched his team play? Any insight?
  18. That is why promoted teams often upgrade their players in the window. Whether we can do that this summer is unknown, but I think it is premature to write Enzo off. Doesn't matter now of course, because he is gone. Think he will do well at Chelsea initially. Long-term, not sure.
  19. 2 Year Contract. Get us through this mess over the summer, with a point deduction coming and a big squad shake-up needed on a tight budget. Sack him off like West Ham just have, when we are comfortable again, and get someone more exciting in. Harsh but fair! I don't like him much, but I dislike the Championship more, and I think he knows how to keep a team up and will bring in the players this summer for that.
  20. All hail Kopfino our lord and saviour!
  21. Potter or Moyes if either fancy it. Otherwise, fook knows!
  22. Fair play to Ipswich. They are doing a great job of running that club recently. Little bit early for McKenna to United, so it makes sense. I imagine Potter is going back to Brighton too. Just us then with no date for the Prom!
  23. Weirdly, I actually think he will do OK at Chelsea initially. His style of play was loved by the players here and he has got an abundance of talent with that Chelsea squad, that may actually make it work a lot better. I think he will get them 4th first season. Long-term though, I am not so sure. It's a style of play that can be easily criticised if things start going sour, as it did with us. Incredible move for him personally though, and it really is a huge step for him. I'm pretty neutral about the whole thing, wouldn't have minded him staying, but not that fussed he is going either.
  24. I am getting laughed at for suggesting we could get Potter, whilst people are suggesting Mourinho We need Enzo out the door quickly and someone in asap. Big rebuild needed this Summer and on a budget no doubt. Starting to warm to Moyes for the type of Manager that could keep us up. Dyche has worked wonders keeping dysfunctional Everton from the drop. Not what we want, but maybe what we need right now. I don't want to go back to the Championship
