19th and 20th?
-
Never liked Moyes, but even I can respect what he has done over his career, and he would be a decent appointment for where we are now. I'd prefer someone else though, but would feel confident of staying up with a Moyes in control. Ugh, still feels a bit yucky saying that!
-
What are people seeing in Corberin that I'm not? It seems a very boring appointment no?
-
We already have one JJ here. It would never work.
-
I actually think we can get Potter. He has been out the game over a year now and I don't think he will get offered a bigger club. I'm not keen on Corberan

Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
STUHILL replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
Why don't we let the fans decide. Already a poll on Sky Sports with 73% in favour of scrapping it. Listen to the fcuking fans!!! -
Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
STUHILL replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wow, surprised by this as football in general seems to be making wrong decision after wrong decision. Scrap it! Let's get that euphoric feeling back when you score a goal! -
Who's going to tell him?
-
We've tried Rudkin's way and it got us relegated. Time for Enzo's way. I suspect Enzo succeeded last season despite Rudkin, hence why he is requesting changes be made above him. I still have doubts about Enzo, but I actually think if we are going to stick with him, we need to go all in and let him run things how he wants (within budget) If it fails, then it's all on him and we can get rid with no doubt or excuses. Sounds to me like he has a pretty strong vision of how he thinks we can be successful and should be run. I'd take that over any ideas Rudkin currently has.

Percy article enzo set to stay, vardy and vesty new deals
STUHILL replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
I wouldn't offer Vestergaard a new contract but I can see why Enzo has. I was hoping Enzo would be ruthless this Summer, but not many Managers are and I can see Enzo's own logic in renewing his contract. Just hope that he will be our 4th choice and back-up, with x2 starting CBs coming in. -
Villa is a great move for him, but not so great for Villa. I can't see him doing anything different than he has with us. Will rarely start games, but will have odd moments of brilliance, followed by long spells of nothing. Always liked him off the field, but definitely not a player we should be trying to hang on to.

I think his style of football will be better suited to the Premier League and being considered underdogs in most games. Teams will likely come at us and not sit back, which at times has been so hard to break down for us this season. We undoubtedly need an upgrade in players though, especially in defence.

I think they would favour Potter over Cooper.
-
How good does he think he is?
-
Actually a very likeable player, but just missing that extra gear needed for the Premier League IMO. I would have liked to have seen more of him this season, but he suffered from Enzo’s lack of rotation and late use of subs.

if China are involved, then all our shirts will have listening devices

Lift the spirits! Every time I come on Foxestalk these days, I want to go back to bed!

I have watched some Leeds fan stuff over the last week, and I can guarantee this is not how they are taking finishing 3rd! Talk of relegation to League 1 next season is more their thinking Come on Norwich or WBA in the Play-offs!

Hence my EDIT shortly after, as I thought I could well have misinterpreted your post. Although, you posted in other topics as well, which led me to think you were talking about King Power. My mistake. I agree that the spine of the team has all but gone, with only Vardy likely remaining and I know you don't mean in terms of what they do on the pitch, but also how they have taken the club and fans to heart. I'd add KDH, Hamza and McAteer to your list though, as they seem to genuinely love playing here. I do believe that KDH may have rejected a move to Brighton because of that (still just a rumour though). We were absolutely blessed with the characters we bought in over the years, and have struggled to replicate that in our recruitment ever since. However, part of the reason these players formed such a bond with the club and fans, is that they were successful, ridiculously so. You can't underestimate how much of a bond is formed when players share success with the club and fans. Although winning the Championship this season, is somewhat brushed aside by some, we will likely still benefit from that success in terms of players bonding with the club and fans. Fatuwa is a great example of that. He has been a joy to celebrate each success with and I think he will be skipping into the meeting to sign for us this summer. Personally, I am not buying into the doom and gloom we have seen on here the last week or so. I absolutely miss the squad from 2015/16 and all those characters that maximised their ability and then some! But, I am also not willing to write this club off either and think that we can't find new characters that we all bond with. As you say, Harry Winks for example - I have loved hearing him say that this is the best time in his career and gush about our club. There are a handful more too. We just need to recruit more of them. As you said, we built a culture under O'Neil, we built another one under Pearson, which coupled with success, helped solidify that bond with fans. In between those eras, there was absolute dross. Far worse than what we have experienced lately. There is absolutely no reason why we can't build that type of culture again in the future.

He will be snapped up by another Championship club. Hull may regret that decision next season.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
STUHILL replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think it is going to be 6 points when all is said and done. Just get on with it. -
Depends on what our point deduction will be, and also what we can or are allowed to spend. I suspect that behind closed doors, it will absolutely be about survival next season and then build from there season after and try to break the top 8 again. Lots of work to do in the transfer market just to be competitive next season.

'...He also won't want to make some of the mistakes Vincent Kompany made at Burnley, believing most of his promoted squad could keep them up. Changes to Leicester's squad are required.' Yes yes yes! That is exactly what I want to hear. Enzo needs to be brutal over the Summer and actually drop players like Faes and Veste. Will be the only way we stay up!
-
Feels like his biggest strength going into next season, is his relationship with the players. Whereas, many fans have struggled to appreciate his style of management, a lot of the players wax lyrical about him and the way he wants us to play. On body language alone, you can see how well he has bonded with the squad, and I think that can't be underestimated going into next season. He needs an almost perfect Summer of recruitment though and a win early on, or I can see him being hounded brutally early into the season.

They've also had Wolverine, Antman and Star-lord rock up too, and got the power of Disney behind them. That helps with global exposure a wee bit. Certainly more than some random Thai influencers in a bus anyway
