Huge wins on lotteries seems to send some people over the edge. I assume it's because they suddenly have this "wealth" that they haven't earned and so don't know how to handle it.
-
Are they "cash rich" or "business rich". Almost certainly a combination of both, but I doubt if their companies were shut down tomorrow, they'd be strapped for cash and visiting food banks.
-
My thoughts too. As I was watching it I was wondering if those in the King's court ever felt safe. I imagine the word "anxiety" wasn't bandied about much but there must have been serious MH fallout among those who fell out of favour. I can't imagine what his wives must've felt when they found themselves betrothed. Thomas Cromwell, a serial manipulator, played so well played by Mark Rylance.

You could say the same about Wales. Unless you're going to Anglesey.

Was he a cereal poster?

A comma between "something" and "like" and maybe your right.

I know, I've been several times. Holt, Thornham, Burnham Market among others.
-
I went to Penrith once. That was enough. Sorry. In much the same way someone would visit Leicester once.

And those examples are the reason why I for one, won't be attending. Went to such an event in Manchester a few years ago. One of the worst experiences of my life. Fraught with everything I find unpleasant and objectionable. Huge crowds of people pushing and shoving, unable to get to anything I was interested/curious about because of the huge crowds of people pushing and shoving. Unable to get a thing to eat or drink because of the huge crowds of people pushing and shoving. A complete failure as a novelty experience. Never again. Anywhere.

Seasonal, but it looks grim. The commentary says all you need to know about the state of these places.

Ooooh... soil. But yes. You're spot on. We go for weekend breaks as it's only a 90 min drive. Thornham and the area around that coast, peaceful scenic, friendly. Crabs.

I think you've missed the satire in the video.

Big sky. Dramatic in it's own way.

I agree but, sadly that's not the reputation associated with it. I guess the question then becomes, what make one county better than any other? Culture, scenery, history. it's people? Or a combination? In which case I would suggest all counties have a USP, something more or less to offer by comparison to other counties. Therefore can there really be a winner? Like art and music, it's subjective.

We had one. It got a lifetime ban.

I've been thinking a bit about our Harry Victor Burton and I thought, what if he is a young lad trying to make valid points about our performance but doesn't have the grammatical skills yet? Our comments poking fun at him may well have given his confidence a knock and that is unkind and unfair, and I include myself among those who have been a bit derisory. Let's give the lad a break. Oh, and Harry, turn on your autocorrect.

In terms of spelling and punctuation, maybe @Wymsey has a point, but other than that, there's nothing Rincewind about his posts. Rincey is a fondly remembered and respected member of FT. I imagine Harry will just become some kid who tried to get likes. And failed.
