Is this to supplement lost revenue from tobacco sales, do you think? Scrap that. You answered the question as I was typing

Never thought I'd ever hear that last sentence after last season, but you're right

I hate these kind of jokes.

Burbage isn't all pleasant and middle class. There's a large and sometimes nefarious area of Burbage that resembles some areas of New Parks and Braunstone, the Saff, etc. Not judging, BTW.

BOX, BOX, BOX!!!

Car wash sites? Chinese takeaways that are strictly cash only. Driveway tarmac/roofing/tree cutting/waste clearing "professionals" that are only contactable by a mobile number?

Occasionally a fitted kitchen. And the contestants were always in pairs. How do you split these kind of prizes?

I was talking to my hairdresser last week about the sudden increase in men's "traditional" barbers. Often 2 or 3 within 8 shops on the same street. She reckons it's a front for "other business". The number of barber shops on Narborough Road is ridiculous. Surely they can't all be profitable just from cutting hair for a fiver?

I live within 15 mins walk from it. I avoid it at all costs. Even though I'm retired, I'm never going to be a Morrison's shuffler. In the same way I'd never buy a Toyota Yaris, a Honda Jazz, a Hyundai i10, a Ford Focus in beige, or corduroy trousers, nylon shirts Hush Puppies shoes, slacks, brown socks, driving gloves, a beaded car seat cover...

We had a "promotional" drive for the local foodbank before Christmas last year. Basically just handing out leaflets to raise the awareness and pointing out the trolley where any donations could be left. Several people declined the leaflet but one guy said, quite loudly, "people wouldn't need foodbanks if they spent their money properly"! I saw him as he left a while later with at least 3 boxes of Stella after he had visited the cigarette counter. Not saying he's a hypocrite, but he was certainly selfish and ignorant.

It's like people are doing their last shop on the way to the Pearly Gates.

It does. There's lots of missing stock from various shelves, or what's there is on the edge of it's sell by. Popular Fresh veg and salad is regularly missing, as are many other popular items. The meat fridges are often lacking in anything but the stuff nobody wants or it's Asda's basic range which is the absolute pits of quality. They regularly run out of some cooked meats. It seems that the supply of the fresh stuff has changed from reliable and sustainable to ad-hoc, give us what you can, when you can. And our local store seems to have resorted to regularly changing the shelf location of products so that people struggle to find what they've come for. I assume this is a tactic to force customers to search the store which in turn, increases potential for impulse buying. I'm no expert but something odd is happening with Asda.

I meant in terms of style of play and endeavour and tactical nouse rather than player value and class. If he has learnt anything at the knee of Pep, I don't see it. Of course Man C are a gulf apart from all teams in the EFL but, when Enzo came here I recall posters lauding him as a manager in Pep's image. And not just the shaven head and trimmed beard. Not for me so far.
-
And people think Enzo is Pep's protΓ©gΓ©. Huge difference.

At least the players under Fergie were honest. He wouldn't allow prima-donna's.
