  1. Just as a thought, if their charges were all in the EPL.. would that really mean the EFL kicks them down a few leagues too? Surprised they are dishing out other punishments whilst there's this looming issue on the horizon. All screams of setting a precendence.. you can see it now "Man City deducted 30 points, £30million pound fine and a 2 transfer window ban"
  2. What is even the point in competeing in football if the leagues are going to clip your wings. We have money, the owners have always maintained that but because of some nonsense PSR ruling we cannot maximise it. It's a total load of nonsense that isn't fit for purpose, the only thing it's effective at doing is keeping the CL spots a closed shop and if any team dares to try, they will only go down the same path as us. Said it before, I'll say it again... with this and VAR they are really making Football a hard sport to love.
  3. Shoe on the other foot, I'd have been raging if we didn't get anything for that if it happened to us.
  4. What are your policies?
  5. I'm not one to single out players but Justin was particularly garbage in that second half. Don't understand how Yunus gets pulled when Mavididi and Justin were just awful.
  6. I get what you're saying as clearly the current plan works, but teams will adapt to try and take control and win a game. With that in mind, we should be doing the same. If we have lost tempo/balance and put under significant pressure from the opposing team, it would be a mistake to keep playing the way we are as the other team is getting a foothold in the game. I'm no football tactician but to hope the same thing works 100% of the time just won't work.
  7. Less said, the better I think. Too wasteful, too soft... we crumble at the slightest thing. Enzo has lots of work to do and a lot of these players aren't cut out for the top level. Just hope the lack of investment in January won't come back to bite us on the ass... even though I suspect it will.
  8. Yes, that's true. He's working largely with an inherited squad and it will take time to build what he needs. I just hope that either he's afford that time, or he decides to stay. As I say, I'm not for a minute suggesting we should change the manager.. I love the guy, it's just a criticism of how we play but I accept it isn't necessarily "his" team.
  9. I wouldn't say it's boring, I think it's, at times, too passive and conservative at times.. but I'm no footballing tactician so my opinion counts for squat as long as we are winning games. Clearly it's effective! It's just we could be camped out on the edge of the opponents box and a killer pass would cut right through a defence but we play a safe option and retain the ball. And the time it takes to get out of our defence can be frustrating when you can see there's a pass to be made. As I said, we're winning games.. I'm not booing, I'm not calling for Enzos head either.. quite the opposite, but it's not rock 'n' roll football that we were used to under Ranieri (even though that's more dictated by how opposing teams approach the game). Sterilised fan base, I sit in L1 and the banter between fans has gone down significantly due to heavy handed stewarding. Perhaps a sense of "completing football" in our case may make it difficult for fans to get up for a game. There's efforts to get the atmosphere going but it's the same chants week in, week out with very little variation. How do you fix it? Not a clue.... unless you swap the Kop with the Family Stand
  10. Casadei is a player out, Smithies is a player out.. there’s 2 there for you
  11. Can you still get Gino Ginelli?
  12. Absolutely nothing
  13. Certainly hope that’s the case, must be so frustrating for him and the team that they don’t feel the love for them.
  14. “I arrive in this club to play with this idea. The moment there is some doubt about the idea, the day after I will leave. It's so clear. No doubts." Get that his first language isn’t English but that’s quite the comment to make publicly.
  15. If it won’t make a difference then why say it? It’s a minority who feel this way, just ignore them.. you’ve got the backing of the fanbase, there will always be those that you can’t please but I don’t see what good it does to say you’re off if people feels this way.
  16. Evidently aren't if he's calling them out... I don't know why but going at the fans won't be doing any good.
  17. Why when there is a vast majority of the fanbase chanting about him and genuinely positive about the style and him being here does he rise to the few? Can he not take criticism? I'm not a huge fan of the possession style we employ but I don't complain as it's better than what's been served up in recent years and reaping results. He needs to just focus on the game, stop calling out the fans and get us on side!
  18. What's a good SBC to blast 83, 82, 81s in?
  19. Bugger, didn’t know if there were grounds to challenge the inconsistency of standards or something
  20. Poor result today but the referee killed us. If you aren’t giving a red for the first challenge then that second challenge is no way a red. Either both reds or both yellows. Would we have any grounds to appeal the red?
  21. Couldn't agree more with this post. I don't get his tirade against female pundits when we have the likes of Clinton Morrison commenting on the game. There are a lot of poor male pundits, why not attack them too.. is Clinton Morrison entitled to critique someone of the ilk as say Haaland? The technicality and level of such a player is far beyond some pundits (like Morrison). If people are going to berate female pundits, there's a few male ones you can have a dig at too.
  22. But it's his job to try and get a 6, or a wicket... is that worthy of a "prestigious annual accolade"? Or is it more down to the sentiment that those were his final moments? In which case, would it not be better he be awarded a lifetime achievement award in years to come? I don't have a compelling argument to say Earps should have won but as someone has already posted, far more nominations and awards in her field.
  23. From what I read, that's generally the gist of what I'm getting. I've seen people suggesting it's because he got a 6 with his final bat and an out with his final ball... but that's his job right? Not what I would say a "special accolade". I get it's not the strongest line-up but Mary had a solid case for it.
  24. Seen loads of people suggesting Stuart Broad was robbed this year, but genuinely I don't follow cricket... what did he do to deserve it?
  25. No, totally get you. I sold my ticket back via the clubs resale platform for today and it's listed for the mid-week game. I totally understand though that me being disillusioned with the game and perhaps not contributing as much will have a small impact.
