I can get behind Van Nistlerooy, bit of a gamble no doubt but so was Enzo. He has a profile which will attract some talent and some experience which was successful. Would top my week off if we binned off Rudders and Van Nistlerooy got his mate Van Der Sar in as DoF!

Apparently he was so desperate for the Leicester job, that he left PSV so there wouldn’t be any hurdles for his eventual approach.

What were Potters tactics at Leicester? Had no idea he’d even been and gone!

No real objections to any of Potter, Moyes or RVN. 1st choice is Potter, seems the more stable and long-term pick of the 3. Plays a style which would suit us and think he's the ideal fit. 2nd/3rd choice I could take it or leave it. RVN is the gamble with no proven track record at this level, could pay off or could be a car crash.. arguably I would have preferred him over Cooper in the first place. Moyes, I like him but he doesn't strike me as the long-term solution and would only be a temporary option.

In total agreement, he got them promoted and it was good of them to keep him for that first season. Second season, yes granted he had a few more games, but similar position and was sacked. Apparently that's some false narrative I was peddling, I did say if he felt so strongly against us sacking him then why not have him back... he's since backed down. He's usually a decent lad and I get on with him, but he hates anything about Leicester.. was raging about the PSR stuff too.

I love him already

What's the story with RVN? Why did he lose his job and why's he been out of a job for so long? These are just some things that worry me about him.

Had a workmate get quite abusive about this last night, he was incandescent with rage but would not listen to reason on why we wanted a change. Just thinks it's stupid and unfair he wasn't given time and that he wants us relegated now (which to be honest, he's told me a few times and I suspected he's always felt that way). We're not here to please other clubs, the guy was a poor fit and had no credit in the bank with us. Pre-season was frankly shocking and this season thus far has been extremely poor.. it was time to go.
-
Surely surely surely there’s got to be a murmur of him going, even this club ain’t that stupid to think he has a future?! There’s literally no point to him being given anymore time, he’s stunk the place out and lost the fans. Make the change now!

Yep, seriously giving this some thought myself. There is no excitement anymore when it comes to this football club.. frankly it’s depressing. Crazy if true, knowing our board we’ll give him Jan, lose1 game after Jan Transfer Window then pull the trigger. Personally, if the guy isn’t a long-term plan and there’s thoughts about sacking him then really the club need to just pull the trigger and do it. Just wasting everyone’s time!

I know this will annoy a few people but I've become so disconnected with this club that as a season ticket holder, I no longer look forwad to the games, I don't feel anything when it comes to wins/losses.. I'm just at a stage of beyond care. We're not currently in any immediate danger but my expectations this season were relegation with the only goal set was to beat Derbys record for worst ever points. Not much to get excited about in that goal but I've genuinely just had enough of this club. I don't want to feel this way but when the senior management is clueless, the manager is unlikeable and they treat fans with contempt than I have to ask what kind of environment are they really hoping to create? If there's a shot of even getting Potter then why do we persevere with a manager that we know won't be the long term future... just wasting everyones time and money for a completely pointless outcome. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Cooper but I can't say I particularly like him... feelings are neutral. We just play so bad but seem to get lucky that it negates any feelings, but I want us to play with some excitement and at least a gameplan.. both of which are lacking.
-
He didn't do a bad job with Derby and Chelsea (1st stint)... his CV took a battering because of Everton but let's be honest... who has succeeded there? And yes his second stint at Chelsea was pretty bad, but they are a basket case too.

Sure I saw about some Arsenal hospitality that Piers Morgan done for them this weekend.

Wasn't Vardy in London over the weekend?

Lay off the spice Alan

Great for the dressing room though... you could pay me his weekly wage a year and I'd be fantastic for that dressing room.

Not the best striker in the world but we needed another option and he's that. Let's see what happens now.

I’d get him for the chant alone
