  1. Transferred my ticket over to a friend for tonight, feel like I’m being a bad friend.
  2. Wagner has a strange record not sure what I thinkk of him as an option. Didn't Huddlesfield get promoted with a negative GD?
  3. Trouble is I can see us going for a "name" as a non-name isn't working out. Gerrard someone like that.
  4. Even though I wasn’t a fan of his football at times I would’ve been interested to see what he did that season. But we’ll never know. But he was a strong character and got everyone to buy in.
  5. I think what we didn’t see realise when we had Enzo he was both a pep disciple but he was also very no nonsense and people knew where they stood. Look what he did at Chelsea. We need someone that kicks these lads up the backside, but also in a way that they think it’s their own idea.
  6. I do feel for marti, and like people have said it might be the bunch of over paid footballers not doing what they are asked. But the football is terrible, we were lucky against Sheffield Wednesday, solid if un spectacular against Birmingham(our only 2 home wins in the championship). The 2 away game wins were down to 3 wonder strikes, not necessarily playing well. Best we have played was Coventry in the games I have seen and that was only above average. It just not good enough, that isn’t just down to him, and maybe most of it isn’t down to him. But managers are the ones that fall by the wayside. Tomorrow he has to win else I can’t see how he survives.
  7. It certainly feels that way, with 1 or 2 exceptions I think you are spot on.
  8. All very true. But, I think both things can be true at the same time. There is issue from ownership, directors, management, coaching, players. The manager is a scapegoat but also seems like he’s not good/strong enough to sort this bunch out.(prime Jose might struggle with a couple of them)
  9. I agree that the issues run deeper than the manager. But that doesn’t completely excuse the manager. The 3 managers “thrown under the bus” haven’t been good enough. (It seems that way with cifuentes) In hindsight we probably needed a different type of manager, maybe a Sargent major type. As seemingly the only player he’s kicked out of the squad on match days in Nelson. Like I say, I agree on the player point, but also doesn’t mean marti is good.
  10. The back 4 cost about £66million 🤢
  11. It’s not all down to him but how can you defend him 1 win in 9 and 3 losses in a row.
  12. My first match in person since cov, crazy we have only won 1 since then and that wasn’t at home. Though I guess we haven’t lost at home either. Hoping to see a bit of energy but I know that might be a bit too much.
  13. We do need that type of forward in my opinion, someone with an aerial threat. Think it maybe was to do with a couple of sending offs why Walsh got put up there too.
  14. I’m not convinced by marti, I’m bored by this type of football. But as others have said it’s as also a reflection of the gross mismanagement of the club since 2021(maybe before). Two things can be true at the same time, the club is badly run and the manager isn’t good enough. Problem is, they have to pick the manager. Russell Martin 🤢 has no job. But I could see it being Gerrard for no reason other than Lampard has done well.(not my choice just how they’re brains might work)
  15. Relatively to how much he cost he is.
  16. People stating the country people are from is irrelevant. They are either good enough or not.
  17. Not this again But I think you are right. It would be Gerrard, they'd look at Lampard and think he's done well there.
  18. It’s a results business he knows that. If he doesn’t win tomorrow it’s 1 win in 8. It’s not good enough. no matter if its dressed up as we only lost 1 of them.
  19. I say it again I wasn’t overly impressed with cov.(when we played them) But they have goals all over the pitch. We don’t have goals anywhere at the minute. Seem to be going from strength to strength.
  20. No, I’m not saying it’s right but only 2 years ago we won this division. So rightly or wrongly marti will be judged against that.
  21. Lampard took on a team that hasn’t been in the top flight for 20 years. It’s not all down to Marti but he’s being judged against different standards.
  22. All of what you say is fair, but 1 win in 7 in the championship isn’t good enough. The football is dull which is my biggest issue.
  23. Pleased for him. But also sad to where we have fallen.
