I think the only person to get anything out of these players would be a motivator rather than a tactician. Keep it simple in terms of formations and tactics, and pick the motivated receptive players. Marti doesn't seem to be that guy. Seems a nice one, but maybe thats not we need.

You could replace and it help the journey, I.E an appointment like Pearson/Enzo who had the authority over the players but also had the long term vision. But you'd need the board to get it right, they also need to get the other appointments right too.
