Germany vs Denmark - Saturday 29th June
STEVIE B replied to StanSP's topic in General Football and Sport
Surely, if you're running/closing down your arms will be in an 'unnatural position' (held tightly by your side). I loved no VAR in The Championship. Next season will be absolutely rubbish.....again. -
I get it that most on here are anti GS and probably have been for some time. He isn't exactly my cup of tea either. Obviously everyone's entitled to an opinion, but why bother watching England & investing the time, when it only seems to annoy so many ? I know we aren't great but l really wouldn't bother if it gave me such negative vibes or angst.

This is the main reason l have no interest in politics anymore. I have zero connection to any of the main parties or the clowns involved. As long as I'm in work, able to keep a roof over my head, have a nice holiday & go out occasionally, then I'm happy.

I understand the negativity to a degree, but I'd already written this season off. We're probably odds on to be relegated, KDH was always going. Maybe a couple of weeks of the Euros has fogged memories of how much of a mess we're in. It's probably worse than we think & not going away anytime soon.

He was on Talksport earlier (Hawksbee & Jacobs). As always, came across very well. Spoke about last season, how amazing Kanté was & still is. Probably on for nearly half an hour.

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

Is this the 4th ? England always seem to top their group(from memory) & some of the other 'top' sides seem to slip up, giving England a decent chance of an easier route. Maybe we are lucky, but other sides have messed up in their groups in the past. France, Belgium, Netherlands have done so this time. That's my take anyway -

We should just play a 1-1-8. Simples. -
Group F: Turkey, Georgia, Portugal, Czech Republic

Yep, all down to GS that the only 2 form sides are Spain & Austria. -

They have a few very decent players. The 'keeper has been excellent. Must be a bargain or two to be had here. -

The Dutch won't play with a low block, giving is more space. I'm not saying we'd beat them, but it has the makings of a really good game. I reckon the other sides we could potentially meet, will just sit deep, stick 10 men behind the ball & frustrate England.....which means another dull game. -
When you get fed up of drinking VB/Castlemain xxxx in Oz (shouldn't take long !), try Coopers

India, England & Australia (probably in that order), hold all of the power in cricket. The other nations are scurrying around for crumbs & have to rely on their T20/ franchise cricket. It’s been the same for years. I’m sure the ICC could do more. -

I don’t think there’s anything positive at all on here regarding Southgate. He’s definitely not held in 'such high regard’. -

English sides have played with fear for years & years now, this tournament looks the same. Granted, we’ve had the occasional periods of relative success (a final & semi under GS) l think managing England has become virtually an impossible job, even though Southgate has had 2 decent tournaments, he still divides opinions, although at times he hasn’t helped his cause. -

So Bellingham hasn't been able to trap a bag of cement, or pass for toffee, but that's Southgate's fault ? Ok. Rice has been the same. -

Rice & Bellingham have been very poor.....even with basic passing & composure.......but Southgate will be blamed for that, of course -

I'd say they'd prefer Afghanistan, surely. What a story that'd be. -
Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland

I really can't see Scotland scoring. 2nd should be better, a draw's no good to either side. -
Cricket stars at 3.30.
