Fair, I haven't looked into it at all. I assumed that the contract agreement was agreed when the initial loan deal was made, and we then had an option to trigger it based on that pre-arranged deal with JJ signing it on the basis that he would have thought it incredibly unlikely that we actually go down. I think you're right we won't see him in an LCFC shirt next season Imo, he doesn't deserve it also, should move along with our blessing. I'm all for holding players to their contract where possible, but not when they haven't done anything wrong and are not responsible for the decline, we have a club to think about, but honest players like JJ shouldn't be dragged into this. The perfect scenario would be we somehow trigger him signing permanently and immediately offer him for £10m to Brentford/Palace. -
You're right. I think sadly we have for a while been in a situation where we needed a bit of luck in timing, we need a manager who is willing to stand up against the board, but also is in a position to get wins, if the wins come, the board have a much harder job sacking. If RVN had 6-7 first team players who were fully committed and were putting in half decent performances every week, he may have been able to shift the culture, the board are incapable of doing it clearly, the issue is, any manager who attempts to shift the culture is likely to face backlash from the players and a downturn in performances as a result, which ends with the board sacking the manager. In an alternative universe where we went down fighting under RVN and the Man City performance more frequent he may have been in a position to actually change the culture, sadly the only manager who looked up for the fight inherited the most spineless squad we've created in modern memory, at a time where the board were at their most incompetent. RVN also takes his share in the blame for his odd decisions of course. But he is the first manager we've had since Pearson that actually felt capable of taking on the hierarchy. Rogers tried to undermine them toward the end, but that was to undo the mess that he and the board had gotten us into! Maybe League 1 presents the opportunity for a manager to come in and start getting the wins needed to make himself untouchable as to actually address the culture at the club . Part of me does fear if by some miracle we stayed up, it would result in us trying to extend the usual suspects contracts in the championship where possible. Edit: - Massively unfair on Enzo, he looked like he would potentially take the board on, but didn't include him because he chose to leave so wasn't here long enough.

So do we actually have a clause to trigger him permanently? To be honest, as much as I would usually say "he agreed to the terms" if there is anyone i'd feel guilty about triggering this on, it's JJ. This poor ****er deserves the premier league, not being in the gutter down in league 1 with us, when he signed we were a team looking to fight our way to the playoffs, yes there is always a risk that any team might go down, you could sign for Man City and be relegated, he really doesn't deserve it. Would be good if we could trigger a permanent signing then sell him for profit, the selfish part of me says he will absolutely destroy the championship with Page alongside him, and he could captain us for years to come and be part of a revival story. -
I don't think so, would he have done better than Rowett in hindsight? maybe, maybe not. We were rapidly declining under MC, and Rowett being bad in hindsight was not an excuse to keep Marti. What we should have done is sacked Marti in December and brought in Hassenhuttl, a manager well renowned for driving very high standards and getting rid/dropping anyone who doesn't follow those standards completely.
-
Get these on a 40 foot tifo.
-
To think, we could have waited less than a week and signed Danny Rohl on a FREE and we'd have likely avoided all of this. When Cifuentes left, we should have gone absolutely all out to bring Hassenhuttl in. RH probably would have turned us down at that point, but I wanted him from about game 8 when I realised MC was a dud. What a mess this board have got us into.

All of them can gfts. -
Genuinely dog water. He's walked into a mess, and made the least possible effort to fix it. Constantly playing the same players who got us into this mess, and setting us up to avoid defeat, before inevitably conceding then having to move into kitchen sink mode. No doubt he will blame our finishing (which is partly right, but an easy cop out) and take zero responsibility. Don't want to see him anywhere near this club in summer, if he somehow convinces this incompetent board that he's the stability we need to rebuild, I may genuinely not bother to watch us anymore until he's gone and we bring in someone of the Pearson ilk. 6 years of decline, the biggest fall from grace in modern times, and entirely our own fault. Edit - I completely understand also that I'm maybe being a bit spoiled, 6 years of decline and I'm ready to throw the towel in, but it feels like 20 years of decline given how high we were and how low we've fallen, coupled with just how little faith I have in the board, and how little any of these players care, I just feel like this football club has become a complete waste of my life and I could be doing so many other useful things. If we had a manager with a solid plan, players who were fighting, and a board taking responsibility, I'd be right there with you all in the gutter, but as it stands, what the hell is the point.

We are so close to survival, we could be 2 points from safety with 9 to play for if results go our way at 3pm, yet it feels absolutely pointless, because our players look like they don't give a shit.

2 players that really catch my eye whether we pull off a miracle or not are Enzo Bardeli (Box crashing CM - 25yo - Dunkerque, Free Agent ) and Jocelyn Janneh (Ball winning DM - 23yo - Bastia), Enzo Bardeli (Box Crashing CM) - Dunkerque (Ligue 2) Free agent in summer, 29 games, 9 goals, 5 assists from CM, can also play Defensive midfield and Attacking mid, imo would be classy in League 1 and we can easily compete with wages of clubs likely to offer him a deal Key Stats (Per 90) 0.32 goals (15 goals per season over 46 games, elite for a CM) 0.22 xG (consistently in scoring positions) 2.77 touches in the box 88% passing success https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/1332540/enzo-bardeli Jocelyn Janneh (CDM) - Bastia (Ligue 2) Hard tackling Ball winning midfielder. Elite ball winning volume at this level, actively recovers possession. **PRIORITY** Key stats (Per 90) 6.34 duels won 86.4% successful passes. 58% duel success 65.8 touches (high for a defensive player, good in transition) 6.04 recoveries 3.61 Tackles https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/1367955/jocelyn-janneh Few others that catch my eye for a team strapped of cash and needing to sign players with something to offer in the short term: Dom Iorfa - Free Max Lowe - Free Niccolo Squizzato - Free If Wednesday need to offload players, Pierce Charles will only have 1 year left in summer also.

I think we are absolutely toast, still hoping for a miracle but if not, just looking at who the rebuild needs to be around and who needs to go, this is purely based on best case scenario that we managed to get rid of everyone we want to, I am also assuming JJ doesn't sign even though there are rumours we do have a clause, just can't see it happening, if by some miracle it did, first name on the team sheet, top paid player at the club, Vice captain and flowers sent to him every month to apologise for dragging him into this mess. Sell/Release: Okoli Souttar Vestergaard Kristiansen Thomas (If he has a big wage cut clause I'd be tempted to keep as he's less of a priority replacement now imo, had a difficult time but has shown he's got some capability at Champ level under Rowett) Pereira Hamza BDCR Monga (cash in) Daka Ayew Mavididi Fatawu Skipp (If we can somehow get him down to 15k a week then keep, if not he has to go, good attitude, tries hard for the shirt, unfortunate price tag) Vietes (He's good enough let's face it, he played in Europe and La Liga last season, but he won't be given a chance and probably wants out) Jakub (Meh, I'd argue we could keep him, but he's just not really improved, doesn't help he has a circus infront of him, but I just feel if we can get someone else in, it's worth moving on, he's behind Begovic) Rebuild around: Nelson (Tempted to sell for profit, but if we can keep him, a full league 1 season could be perfect for him to kick on) Lascelles (IF he would accept a season with us in League 1 on a reduced wage, but still one of the leagues top earners, I think it's probably worth keeping him for his leadership if he can stay fit) Aluko Page Evans Braybrooke (His stats in League 2 are very positive, big step up though) Silko Thomas Alves Coulibaly (not likely to want to stay, but he's made 15 appearances for Sassuolo mainly as a sub, he HAS to be at minimum league 1 level and would save us a signing) Begovic (not really a rebuild player, but if we can get a cheap 1 year extension with the offer to allow him to coach here if he wants to, he's easily good enough for L1) Players I'd argue for signing: Pierce Charles (GK)- Wanted him since the summer, has a good future ahead of him, Wednesday are in financial meltdown and his deal runs out summer 2027 so would be at a discount, they will have a few players up for grabs that can play at L1 level. Enzo Bardeli (Box Crashing CM) - Dunkerque (Ligue 2) Free agent in summer, 29 games, 9 goals, 5 assists from CM, can also play Defensive midfield and Attacking mid, imo would be classy in League 1 and we can easily compete with wages of clubs likely to offer him a deal.**PRIORITY** Key Stats (Per 90) 0.32 goals (15 goals per season over 46 games, elite for a CM) 0.22 xG (consistently in scoring positions) 2.77 touches in the box 88% passing success https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/1332540/enzo-bardeli Jocelyn Janneh (CDM) - Bastia (Ligue 2) Hard tackling Ball winning midfielder. Elite ball winning volume at this level, actively recovers possession. **PRIORITY** Key stats (Per 90) 6.34 duels won 86.4% successful passes. 58% duel success 65.8 touches (high for a defensive player, good in transition) 6.04 recoveries 3.61 Tackles https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/players/1367955/jocelyn-janneh Dom Iorfa (CB/RB) - If Lascelles won't join, I'd take Iorfa on a free. He's a battle hardened, no nonsense defender who can also play right back, plenty of experience, still athletic for a 30 year old and could give us a few seasons of rebuild/solidity/depth. Other Interesting players: Mukasa (CAM) - would probably turn us down, but he isn't getting any first team minutes in the prem, and i'm not sure he's done enough at Champ level, if he doesn't go elsewhere, might be worth giving him a consistent run in L1 Niccolò Squizzato (Deep Lying Playmaker) - Entella (Serie B) More of a tempo controlling midfielder that Winks was supposed to be, plays in the space between the CDM and CM, but gets a lot of the ball, Free in summer. Key Stats (Per 90) 85% pass accuracy 60% long ball accuracy 1.44 Chances created 2.03 Tackles 2.39 Clearances Max Lowe (LB)- Linked in Summer, has been a really solid player for Wednesday despite their results over the last couple of seasons, 28 years old, would be a free transfer and he works hard, he could have forced a move in summer be he decided to stay and fight, we need that. -

cityfanlee23 replied to splinterdream's topic in Leicester City Forum
Oh I completely agree, but with the lower standard I think it opens us up to a bigger pool of potential loan players. It's quite rare to find a prem ready loan signing from another prem club, and the sort of loan signings we would be going in for would be the likes of Mukasa/Richards rather than James/Ramsay. We would be going in for Braybrooke types which I think opens the door for us. Completely agree we need to find a manager with a vision etc, but overall if a club has to choose between us and another league 1 club, and they are happy with the direction of both, they likely choose us, which is the only silver lining and opportunity to potentially stop this rot. -

cityfanlee23 replied to splinterdream's topic in Leicester City Forum
I really don’t know about the finances, but purely from a club draw perspective if the finances mean we can somehow keep Seagrave open, you’d imagine we are going to be the absolute #1 destination that premier league clubs will want to send players on loan to, and any free transfers that have a choice between us or other clubs in league 1 will surely want to play for us. I have a gut feeling that we might be okay IF we are utterly ruthless in summer. We have quite a few players that are on relatively low wages that could do a decent job at that level, Evans, Page, Aluko, Nelson (probably will be sold but can’t see clubs clamouring to take him right now) Alves, Braybrooke, Silko, Maybe Golding and Marcal (1 year extension?) finally get a chance. We desperately need massive cut backs but we do have some young players that would do well at that level and have the scope to improve in future. Keeping Nelson would be really big if possible. -
One silver lining is the cracking Football Manager save i'll get out of King Power being a bunch of incompetent idiots.
-
We are effectively down, and I couldn't give a shit. Part of me is so broken by this club i'm actually happy that relegation will cause massive negative PR for King Power, and will bring them a little bit of suffering, I didn't see the Pompy game, my friend just text me the results because I don't even care enough to check myself right now, I just laughed when he told me. **** the players apart from about 3 or 4, most of them can get to ****, **** the board, every single one of them, **** king power. The ONLY people I care about, are the poor sods who will now face redundancy, and the wider community businesses that may end up with much less match day trade. I've been through many lows watching this club, but this one is just a sucker punch, then spitting on our faces. They have mishandled this club for the best part of 6 years now, infact you could easily look at decisions before Rogers that were poor such as our complete negligence in the transfer market summer after winning the league when we abandoned a clear working blueprint. It's sad, maybe I'll care more in the summer, right now, I just don't give a toss about this club anymore, it doesn't represent Leicester City, this is a poisoned swamp football club. This is NOT Leicester City. King Power, you will always have credit for what we achieved under you, but that doesn't give you the right to completely destroy it then gaslight us into pretending it wasn't 1000% your own fault, get the **** out of our club, you've destroyed a legacy.
-
Yep, for a lot of years (mainly due to my dislike of our style obsession) I’ve focused on promoting mangers I think will provide fans with more exciting football in my opinion. Our club was built on a blueprint set in place by Pearson that built us most the premier league winning team, under Ranieri we shifted away from it slightly, then Puel to a large extent put us back on track, young hungry players with a point to prove and sell on potential, Rodgers early on continued that and got the most out of the players, then abandoned it to chase expensive signings on big wages. Ideally the club would have a structured blueprint that managers, coaches and players slot into, then when they move on, there is already a replacement lined up who fill that space. KP and the board have shown they don’t have the competence to do this, so now we just desperately need a manager who has the capacity to rebuild us from the ground up as Pearson did. Style of play and immediate entertainment is now secondary. Hopefully we strike gold with a manager who can do both, but right now we need a back to basics manager who is willing to stand up to the circus.

I'd go for Challinor. I don't want Rowett anywhere near it anymore.
-
Have to say, abusing a player Infront of his child crosses a line for me, given how many idiots are out there it probably feels quite threatening as a dad to have angry fans shouting as you with your daughter in your arms. With that said though, and not excusing that behaviour, it's no wonder the fans decided to shout at him in the carpark, the players ignore the fans on the field and piss off down the tunnel at the first opportunity, they get protection in and out of the ground, then drive off in their supercars to their million £ homes with absolutely zero care in the world for the fans or the club, they live lives of privilege and luxury, and to the fans they take it all for granted, whilst the fans take the shit sandwich they deliver week in week out. We see it in countries like Italy where the captain will take the players over to the ultras to talk with them or at times even argue with them, that is what builds respect with the fans, standing up to be counted when it matters. LCFC players are overpaid and wrapped in cotton wool, the club actively doing everything they can to take all responsibility or repercussions away from the players whilst they walk around the pitch when we are chasing a game and facing relegation down the barrel. I couldn't for a moment do what some of those fans were doing as I don't think it's fair, but if the players continue to take absolutely zero accountability, and do nothing other than a half arsed social media post, they are going to make people with less self control even more angry.

Aaron Ramsey joins on loan - Official
cityfanlee23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I don't know the details of the deal, but feel confident in assuming that we are paying a fee for this loan, paying a good chunk of his wages, and he's using our facilities to rehabilitate, all without the ability to send him back without a penalty? It's the KPFC way. -
I'd actually welcome the board grovelling to Ruud to bring him back. I'd take him over any single one of these spineless players. He has higher standards in his toes than any of them.
-
Nigel, we need you.
-
Yep, I called for Cooper to go, Ruud was just as bad, I was one of the first to call for Marti to go (I started around 8 games in, but I was biased as I hate possession football). Rowett has disappointed massively. It's worth noting though that in January we were in touching distance of the playoffs, if Marti went then I think we were in a much stronger position to bring a better calibre of manager in like Hassenhuttl. In the end, the board once again were too slow to make a decision and ended up desperate for anyone.
-
Players are clowns, Rowett a ****ing clown for doing nothing about the players being clowns. Same formation, same players, same refusal to make subs until the 60th minute alarm goes off on his watch.
-
We’d have been better off in 2026 if we kept Dean smith, we’d have been better off this season under Ruud. I think when you’re in a position like we were under Cooper or Marti you have to roll the dice, but under these owners it’s often a bigger gamble than sticking with whoever is underperforming.
-
Everything else aside, the fact he continues to pick Mavididi despite being one of the worst players in the squad this season has convinced me I don’t want Rowett anywhere near this club next season. Even if Mavididi makes me eat my words and scores today, he’s shown absolutely zero under Rowett and he keeps picking him, that screams that he’s being picked out of favouritism or stubbornness. Mavididi deserves to be nowhere near this club after the last 2 seasons.
