My hot take, is that over the next 5 years our fan base will drop to the lowest it’s ever been. The fair weather fans will disappear. Theres not been a focus on young families and we’ve lost a generation through overly expensive tickets and lack of availability. The loyal base that would have been here through all the tough days have had enough and have been pushed too far. It’s hard to find any fan who’s not simply apathetic among us. I think the club will have a huge shock coming its way if we don’t find a way to reenergize the fan base. Because the last time we went down to league 1, yes the football wasn’t the best for a decade but we all still enjoyed ourselves and felt attachment to our club. Right now, the ones that would keep the lights on are being pushed away

I feel like Rodger’s appointment was the only time we ever heard that the club was conducting a search before letting a manager go as well. You’d like to think if it was close they would at least be doing some homework on potential candidates but we’re almost certainly not

It would be typical that we lose at the weekend and sack the manager. Having just had the international break available to get someone in. id be incredibly surprised to see him turn things around here. We havent had a single good performance for a full 90 all season.

Controversial opinion but I feel like Sven didn’t do a too dissimilar job to puel. Yes we made some honking signings, but without kasper, nuge and konchesky… I think our future would have unfolded in a different way.

I personally don’t think they bought us for money, no. And there’s been nothing I’ve seen that has made me think otherwise. They bought it for status, a hobby and for more power over something they were passionate about. I think there’s a large majority of us that if we had endless piles of money we’d also buy a football club for fun rather than to increase our wealth nothing about us was a good investment when they took over 😆 and we’ve always lived above our means.

I genuinely don’t think he will ever let the club go unless he’s forced to. The emotional attachment he has won’t allow that. But that doesn’t mean bad business decisions won’t happen because he doesn’t have a clue how to run a football club. people like chansiri were only ever in it to make money. We don’t have the same kind of problem. It’s not effort, it’s incompetence, a lack of accountability and no real leadership skills. He simply can’t make the tough decisions needed.

I somewhat disagree. I still think he has potential. Every scout will get a few wrong and i don’t blame him one bit for the signings cooper forced us to go for. the big issue signings for me were carranza and okoli. Kristiansen and souttar were panic buys, both made sense at the time, one didn’t step up as expected. Always a risk when dipping into a scandanavian market. The other, the managers never played the way that works. but everyone else really had a purpose…. Skipp, bdr and ayew had coopers fingerprints all over them and I’d bet anything glover wasn’t best pleased those were the players we went for.

So all that was needed was singing about him dying to get change. Why didn’t we try that sooner any change is a positive. I think that top is a loyal man, that’s not a good thing in situations like this but if this is a way to save face and take responsibility away from Rudkin but still allow them to be best buds and play pretend businessman then I’m for it

I think he was only on loan until Jan, so you’d imagine the second half of the season would hopefully be in league 1. Ready for next season
