I think this guy is going to be a superstar. He just oozes something different. It’s funny because you can almost see where mavididi’s ceiling would be, but with this guy … he could be a mane or he could be a demarai. But I genuinely think, even from these glances that with the right management he will be unreal. He’s strong, quick, skillful determined, seems to make intelligent plays. Not seen much shooting yet but the shot he bent onto the post was a very nice hit so the indications are that he’s one of those that ‘has all the tools’ If we were in the prem and we’d signed him and loaned him out to the championship, I think we’d all be good incredibly excites for his return. So the fact he can grow with us is great!

He played number 10 for Wimbledon in most games. The manager rated him but he wasn’t able to produce any goals or assists. Funny that it’s taken this long for him to play on the wing.

I don’t think it was the rewarding players with contracts that was the issue. That allowed us to lock down some great assets. The issue was then because of the large contracts people had earned, rudkin was giving youth players and new signings outrageously high above market rate contracts. I genuinely beleive if we had offered bertrand or jannik 2/3rds or possibly even half what they got they would have signed. Nobody was paying bertrand more than 40k Because you can bet he got a very large sign on fee as well. Not to make you feel sick but Ivan Toney for example is only getting 21k per week at the moment. we just lost all sense of value

we only really have 2 though. Doyle and casadei. The others have options so i wouldn’t call it an over reliance, more a try before you buy. Doyle will be sold next year so he’s also gettable.

it’s interesting statistically but a lot of pap at the end of the day. Football is a human game not a video game, you catch teams in good moments and bad moments. It does give you a rough idea of how hard a fixture might be but the reality can be completely different. For example you don’t want to play a relegation threatened team in the run in as a game against a much better (on paper) mid table side playing for nothing would actually be easier. Or a star player might depart. A change of manager. All things will factor how hard any given fixture will be.
