My hot take, is that we may well have never collapsed if PSR wasn’t introduced. I think our profile was established at that point and had we been able to continue spending what we wanted, we would have continued to fight our way at the top. Whilst we’ve made honking decisions, you can’t understate the damage these rules did to us and they prevented us being able to operate the way we worked best. im not excusing our board because they knew the rules and didn’t work hard enough to make the club operational for it but if they hadn’t come in …. I don’t think the collapse happens. Realistically, without the rules even if Brendan tanked, we would have been able to sack and replace with a decent manager early enough to recover.

People are so reactive. By the end of the season Southampton and Ipswich will be up there with one of them probably managing second. id still be surprised if we couldn’t push for a playoff spot (points deduction depending) this table will shake out very different over the next 30 games a run of 3 wins would propel anyone back in amongst it

Manning is a good coach, somethings just not worked for him there. I think he’ll pick up a lower end. Championship club and do well again at some point soon

Yeah it’s unfortunate for some of theses guys because simply they were the wrong sort of profile from the start. That’s not their fault but as soon as they have bad games we all kinda think we’ll ffs they shouldn’t be here anyway. It’s hard to shake that as a fan and short of them having a very good run of performances they won’t get the grace of most players. He’s got us out of a pickle twice now and looked sharp as well. So if he continues he’ll be a handy player for us this year.

I like him. Whilst he wasn’t what we should have been going for in the prem, he seems to have a decent attitude and looks so much more fit this season. He’s always been a big moments player and he’s starting to show that here.

Yeah I think it’s better he comes on if we have a comfortable lead than when everything is going wrong. I’d support that if that’s what’s happening

There are absolutely no patterns of play other than centre halves passing to each other. There’s just nothing tactically happening to try and create space or force mistakes from the opposition. It’s as bad as cooper, it really is
