The problem with letting Vestergaard go is no one passes the ball better from defence. The only person who may be able to make that role their own could be Doyle. He's a little faster (not much) than Vesty and has a good range of passing. He certainly ain't a left back or a wide centre half. Be interesting to see if we go back in for another loan as a purchase seems unlikely in our current situation..

Not had a 0 - 0 all season - that's tempting fate.
-
Perhaps you're correct, but I will come back to you on Saturday night if we win
-
I'm optimistic. Think they'll want the 100 points. Day off today or just light work today (hangover recovery) Proper training sessions on Thursday and Friday, ready for Saturday. Think there could be quite a few goals, as Blackburn need a win to be sure of staying up.

Udders need a 15 goal swing to stay up, Not going to happen. They're down

Best ref in the football league, including Prem

Perhaps people take success for granted after 10 wonderful years. Whether you like it or not, as a club, it is unlikely that kind of success can be sustained over a longer period unless we are backed by an oil rich state. I'm with you though, I've been through the awful times and I never thought that 10 years ago we would have achieved so much over the next 10 years. Hopefully, the next few years we have more stability and begin to develop again into a top half Premier League side.

Good job he's not had a serious injury as I'm not sure anyone else can play that role well within the current squad.
-
But Leeds will still have something to play for, irrespective if Ipswich win tonight.
-
Think this highly unlikely, as Martin has suggested that he is likely to play an under strength side as to not risk injuries for the play offs.
-
Yes, I seem to recall now you mention it - tragic. You don't expect to not come home from something you love going to.
-
Was it the last time we were promoted, that we also relegated Doncaster and Dickov on the last day and achieved 100+ points? Same scenario with Blackburn!
-
Thinking of up to 4 loan signings, would like us to consider the following James McAtee Flynn Downes Fabio Carvalho + a fast centre half (help me out please)
-
I wouldn't read to much into him not playing many 90 minutes this season as there are reasons for this. After coming back to Inter from a successful loan season, he doesn't fit the system their coach plays (a bit like Vestergaard for us last season), plus he decided to have the operation that was scheduled for the Summer to remove a metal pin from his foot, done early, to enable him to be ready for pre season.
-
I don't know - this is what I'm trying to seek clarification on!

What are the regulations on loans in the Premier League - I thought you were only allowed two in match day squads? Can you have more than this?

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?

The players bonding together again and looking like they care. -
Cov down to 10 men - want Blackburn to win as they'll then be safe before next Saturday.

I tried to hear you out and I kind of understand your thinking, but I would find it hard to digest him in a Leicester shirt again after his antics pushing for the Chelsea move. I'd prefer players with hunger and desire to be here, unfortunately I can't see Fofana's ego allowing that.

What I have seen this year are players up for the fight. I'd like us to sign players with that attitude, players with something to prove. We don't have to spend stupid money and wages on prima donna's. There are plenty of players out there that with the right coaching can be bought relatively cheaply or are out of contract. With the right application and that team ethic that won us the Premier League, I'm hopeful of a season where we can compete with two thirds of the teams in the League.

I think some people forget the state the club was in this time last year. Having potentially the best squad in the League no way guarantees success (Just look at Chelsea), because we had a bunch of players who had no confidence and who were mentally shot from the Rodgers era. We made some good signings in the Summer and thankfully got off to a brilliant start. For me Enzo has done wonders to turn things around on the field, playing a completely different style and bringing back a group mentality. Yes he has made mistakes, but for me this season has exceeded expectations.

Preston Away - Monday 29th April - Pre Match

Surprised, but pleased Praet is available. -
Wonder if they'll all be at Vardy's Friday night, like when Chelsea drew with Spurs?

I'm not sure at the end of last season I had any high hopes other than to steady the ship. I thought play offs would be a bonus, but after the turmoil we were in, I am over the moon that we are nearly back in the Prem.

Top has told him he's going to bin him off.
