  1. For those still anxious about the chasing pack. Remember when we won the Prem, Spurs couldn't close the 5 point gap week on week. That was a much tougher league with far superior opposition. I just can't see us letting a 12 point lead slip over 15 games to ensure promotion.
  2. Looking at the goals we have conceded, the vast majority are either lapses of concentration, scrappy goals from set plays or the occasional screamer. I can't think of many goals where the opposition have created a fluid passage of play to open us up and score.
  3. Those teams who play the high risk game at the back accept occasional errors will be made. Ederson and Allison, 2 of the best outfield keepers in the Prem, have both made howlers in the past. It doesn't stop Man City and Liverpool sticking to the game plan. For me the rewards outweigh the infrequent disaster. I think we have conceded 2 goals from errors at the back, yet no team in the 4 leagues have scored more than us I believe.
  4. I'm sure Enzo will probably emphasise the point. Hopefully the players will be up for this and the draw at Hillsborough is a good reminder about taking all games as potential banana skins.
  5. Thought these were generally at 1.30?
  6. The bottom line is, as DofF the buck stops with him, just like in any profession. Quite often when CEO's resign it is not their errors that cause the resignation but the actions of those advising or working at a lower level. Take credit when things go well, but accept fault when things don't. It's not the same mantra at all, it's about repeated failings over several January windows. As you pointed out, he has done some really good deals, particularly with Summer recruitment and should receive credit for these, but likewise his inability to find a solution to moving players on over several windows is of his making, because of the ludicrous fees and extortionate wages he offered, IMO. If we are in such a poor financial state either he's being advised poorly or ignoring that advice. Whilst it's probably none of my business to understand why the club appears to be struggling financially, the lack of transparency is concerning as a someone who is supporting the club in a small financial way.
  7. I do get it, what I don't get is why he gave them such ludicrous contracts to mediocre players in the first place. I totally understand that we are stuck with players, but even paying some of their wages to move them on would be no worse than them sat taking their £50 000 a week or whatever doing nothing. What I don't get is the need for your rudeness. It's that simple.
  8. What is difficult to assimilate is that some of the players who we wanted to shift in August are the same players who are still here now. I just find it difficult to understand that our DofF has known for months who we need to move on, yet we are still scrambling around hours before the deadline trying to make this happen. If he was aware no one was likely to move on, why waste Sensi's time getting him over here. Unfortunately it looks like we are stuck with the likes of Ward et al until their contracts expire.
  9. But he's supposed to be experienced at doing transfers. It's not like it's his first year in the job and to cap it all, why is he away on some jolly at the end of January, when, along with August, it's the most hectic time of the year. I fail to understand how people can try and justify his incompetence. I don't hear of this lack of forethought in any other club.
  10. As others have said - surely Rudkin is aware of any legal issues before entering into negotiations. If this falls through supporters need to ask why has our DofF been away on the p!ss when legal issues needed sorting out.
  11. The bloke is a leech. I have no confidence that anyone on the board has remotely any idea how to successfully run a football business. Hopefully, Top is not running King power as his weak decision making could be a disaster. I'm appreciative to KP for the success we've had, but this is down to Vichai and since his untimely death, things have regressed gradually. John Rudkin is out of his depth as DoF as he knows FA relating to football development. I dread to think what Maresca makes of all this with his astute forward thinking.

    Don't think this has legs
  13. There seems to be an oxymoron in that most games the ground is pretty full (until about 80 minutes), but people still continue to attend even though all they do is moan. If I found the experience of watching Leicester boring and tedious, I'd stop going. Luckily I don't - I find Enzo's methods intriguing and whilst at times our play can come across as passive, there is always that expectation that something dynamic will happen. So called fans who think a complete change of direction in the style of play will be the finished article in 6 months must live in a dream world. I sincerely hope Enzo stays, that his comments were out of frustration, he is backed by the board so that the development of the squad and style of play can continue to flourish over the coming years.
  14. But potentially losing £30m due to a serious injury compared to peanuts for Praet is a risky strategy and a completely different scenario..
  15. Can't see anything other than him staying. If Leicester are desperate for money (wages off the bill) there is no way he'd have played last night and jeopardised any likely sale.
  16. Worth a punt for me means he could develop into a decent player. I can't see buying anyone at £7m is going to be anything other than a bit of a gamble at Premier League level. Buying someone for that sort of money is unlikely to be a) Prem ready if buying from abroad or b) past their sell by date if ex Premier League. He'll have had 12 months with us, so I do take your point if the management don't feel he is up to it, don't just collect players.
  17. Wonder if he could play the Vestergaard role, presuming Vesty isn't around next year. He is comfortable on the ball and won't get exposed as much centrally as he does out wide. Just a thought. Him, Nelson and Faes wouldn't be too bad as 3 of the 4 centre backs in the squad?
  18. I think the fee is £7 million, not 10 and for £7 million, I feel he's worth a go. I actually think the Premier League will be better suited to his skill set as he is a good technical player, If he can cope with the pace of the Premier League I think he could be a real asset. He will only get better with game time.
  19. I know we don't play with a traditional number 10, but feel that role would suite him. Good quick feet and offers something different. Pleased he got off the mark today as I think he has snatched at several chances in the past with his desire to score for us.

    Daka

Very poor tonight. But to be fair to him had absolutely no service to show what he's best at.
  21. If I'm not mistaken, refusing to take breath test in itself either at the road side or in custody, means if it goes to court he'll be charged with drink driving. For me Choudhury doesn't seem to learn. He comes across a decent lad, but his judgement and actions at times are somewhat misguided. If he doesn't sort his social life out, he may find the club lose patience with him.
  22. I do find the style of play has an impact on stadium atmosphere as there isn't that many exciting sustained periods of play. What does concern me a little is that there has been continual talk about when we get out of 2nd gear we'll be formidable. I've almost come to accept that this is as good as it will get this season performance wise, because to get up to 3rd and 4th gear a better quality of personnel is required.
  23. For all those doom and gloom mongers, if you were offered 66 points after 28 games back in August, would you have accepted it? We lost to Leeds and Middlesboro in consecutive matches and there was a meltdown then on this forum from some. I'm confident over the remaining 18 games we will win at least 10 of them, if not more.
  24. Agree, but without his injury record there is no way he'd come to Leicester. It's a bit of a gamble, but we either buy quality that has some baggage or risk someone on loan who may or may not be successful. With Sensi, at least he has quality which, like Winks, should prosper at this level without too much integration into a new squad, hopefully.
  25. Can we afford Sensi + another loanee?
