I don't give a sh1t who he supported as a kid. He played for Leicester, was a local lad, who worked hard to make his dream come true. He gave 100% on the field and genuinely took pride in pulling the shirt on. He's moved on through no fault of his own, good luck to him.

So what - I wonder how many of our academy were Leicester fans as kids.

KDH is a solid mid table Prem League player. He may thrive with better players around him. I wish him well as he's not pushed for a move. £30m is a fair price. However, is he a player that will stand out at a top 6 club. He won't be the first £30m flop at Chelsea and no doubt won't be the last. He's got the right attributes to succeed, but being heavily left footed could hold back further progress. Hope we sign Gronbeak and Nanasi for around £20m combined. That would be great business.

I agree, but giving Ward an extension of his contract a couple of years ago and excessive wages was ludicrous.

The positives for me are the low levels of expectation, so if we are the underdogs this season so be it. This could work in our favour. As long as we finish above 3 other teams that will be an enormous success.

I'd love a pre season where the players start their league games looking as though they can complete 90 minutes without looking gassed by 70. The last 5 or so seasons I think our fitness levels have been really substandard. Finishing games strongly and picking up vital points towards the end of games will be vital if we are to achieve safety this year. Too many games when we were last in the Premier League saw us conceding late goals and dropping points, mainly through tiredness.

I'm going even further. It's not how good the squad is, it's how good the team is. We didn't have the best squad when we won the league, but team togetherness shone through. For me this is the key. We have a decent squad, but is our team better?

Being cynical, why would you walk away from a multi million pound a year contract. Best case scenario, he tries his best with those he's given and has some success, worst case (which is what happened) they don't gel, results are shocking and he gets sacked with a nice pay off, but still loved by the fans and his reputation hardly ruined as most of those in football are aware where the problem lies.

But how many of those players did he really want, or was it the Fat Greek just buying who he thought would be a great fit. Unlike Eriksson who went on a spending spree when he first arrived here, I get the feeling Cooper had little say on who arrived.

I thought he got Swansea to 2 play off finals? His CV is quite similar to NP - 2 play off finals, Promotion and kept us up (I know NP was with the same club, but still . . . ) - hoping SC builds the same mentality here that NP did. As a fan, I want to see players out there giving their all for the badge.

I don't get when posters worry about his Forest connections. Lots of players have played for both clubs (and probably managers too). For me, it's just a job. Nobody slated Albrighton for saying he still loves Villa, but that didn't stop him wanting to do his best for us. I think Cooper will be the same. Yes he has some emotional attachment to Forest, but ultimately, he'll want to succeed here to enhance his own reputation. He can't afford to let past loyalties get in the way of future aspirations.

Hope he gets off to a decent start, otherwise it could be a difficult task get everyone on board. I like what I've heard, I don't care about his looks, dress sense or weight (particularly after seeing Henry VIII Rooney tonight). I'll judge him on his ability to manage LCFC and to ensure that the Foxes Never Quit motto is upheld.

Thought he was little more than average last night. Two lapses of concentration led to England's goal and nearly another for Saka. Other than that, defensively I thought he contained Saka well. However, I thought he offered little going forward and his delivery into the box, for me, was substandard.

Thought Vesty was ok, composed on the ball as usual. Playing in a back 3 with wing backs he'll be ok in the Prem. Kristiansen was at fault for the goal. Saka got behind him a couple of times. Didn't offer much going forward. Below average I would say.

Sure you're just not Arsenal fans trying to get a ticket in an alternative way? If you are LCFC fans, then there is very little chance tickets will be available to members with less than 15 points.

As long as the contract is dated from 1st July, it doesn't matter when it's announced. Most people accept a job, but their starting date is often much later. There is no reason to delay an appointment, just delay the contractual starting date.

Is this a fact, an assumption, guess or inside information. I'm aware we are likely to have a points deduction, but I'll be surprised if it's 9 points.

If I were Potter, I'd be sceptical about taking on the job and I think quite rightly he's exploring and contemplating what's on offer. Our last two managers were both kept in the dark regarding transfer funds and finances. One got the hump and got us relegated, the other got on with the job and got us promoted. I don't know what promises have been made to Potter from Top and Rudkin, but on recent form, I'd be wary how much is realistic and how much is fantasy.

This is exactly the issue. I don't understand giving Vesty a new 3 year deal, if the new manager is one who doesn't play to his strengths or a similar style to Maresca. That should rule out Moyes and Cooper. But this is Leicester hierarchy, so who knows.

Just from the conflicting views on here, I don't think there is a stand out candidate who is likely to be interested in the job. It appears who ever is appointed, won't be the first choice of a significant number of fans. Whatever people now feel about Maresca and his style of football, one thing he brought back was unity. belief and commitment from the players. Whoever is appointed, I hope they can keep that mentality going amongst the squad.
