  1. I'm hoping it's just an impact injury, his knee was swollen at half time and tightened up and the brace is just a precaution.
  2. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. Doyle picked up his injury after about 5 minutes. If this was a serious knee injury, how can he play a further 40 minutes without it becoming worse or have a serious impact on his style of play, which wasn't noticeable.
  3. It's difficult to judge teams at the moment as they either come with a different game plan to their norm and park the bus or if they try to out play us, they get taken apart. I've not been overly impressed with any team we've played so far, but it's still early season, relatively. When we play Leeds, Ipswich and maybe Sunderland, I'm hoping to see how we cope with teams that should give us a more challenging game.
  4. Yeah, but that's one error in 7 games he's played passing out from the back - Allison and Ederson both drop the occasional clanger and these two are rated two of the best keepers in the world. I accept his style of play may cost us the odd goal here and their but like you say the way he plays brings so many rewards. Having said that his handling error yesterday was just a lack of concentration and could have proved costly had it not been for JJ's fantastic block.
  5. That would be worth seeing and hilarious.
  6. A comfortable win with Winks and Vestergaard getting booked would be ideal.
  7. I get the feeling Enzo prefers to rotate players, rather than drop them, very much in the Pep style. It may look the same as dropping them, but the psychology that you are part of a squad, rather than a team, I think is very clever and hopefully keeps everyone on board. The squad do look happy at present. Perhaps that goes with winning. But there feels a far more togetherness so far this season.
  8. Absolutely. However, it just seems to me that when a player is not having the best of times with performances, they come in for over the top criticism. It's the same with match threads - for some there isn't a middle ground. It's either absolute meltdown or euphoria.
  9. This is Foxes Talk - there has to be an annual scapegoat. When some moan about our players, in particular all 3 of our forwards have been criticised this year by some, I wonder how many teams in this league would love the luxury of having Vardy, Nacho and Daka to choose from?
  10. Great engine and keeps the same level of intensity for the whole game. Lacks concentration at times and needs to trust his right foot (and work on shooting with it in training). Does far more good things over 90 minutes so the pro's far out weight the con's for me.
  11. I wonder if Perez would have been good in this system as an 8 on the right? He had a good work ethic and closed down well and the technical ability Maresca appears to favour.
  12. I think with the squad we've got, Maresca won't see it as dropping players, but rotating them. I don't think when a player is left out it is necessarily a reflection of their performance, good or bad, but a confidence that he (Maresca) has players that can play in whatever position equally as well as those left out. IMO I think perhaps the players buy into this philosophy, rather than playing the odd game when someone is injured or suspended. It also ensures that the squad are match ready when they are playing more often. So my point is, I think Maresca will make changes against Norwich because he is confident he can rotate his team without weakening it. The only outfield player I feel is difficult to replace like for like is Winks.
  13. Yes, Doyle was too easily beaten by Delap when cutting in. This seemed an occurrence v Hull. Again Vestergaard getting stick unfairly IMO. Had it deflected off him and gone wide, would people be saying what a great block it was? I have to say however, I think Doyle is an exciting player and at 19 still learning, so I'm not hear to say 'drop him to the bench' as I think he contributes far more positives to our style of play, than negatives.
