The way I would see it is that Winks is the player to take the ball off the defence with Skipp and Ndidi's job being to run around the pitch getting the ball back. A 4-3-3 with a lot of emphasis on the wings. Hermansen Faes Okoli Ricardo Justin Winks Skipp Ndidi Fatawu Mavididi Vardy Quite a solid base to work from. You can take Ndidi off for virtually anyone on the bench and go from a 4-3-3 to a 3-4-3 or a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2.

He is, yeah. I know fans won't want to hear it because it won't be great to watch but a midfield 3 of Winks, Ndidi and Skipp should be enough to let the likes of Mavididi and Fatawu run wild. The worry for me is that we need a striker that can play with his back to goal.

We are pathetic.

Today has been a timely and calming reminder that, even though we are in a bad way, there is some absolute tripe in this division.
-
Looks to me like we want to cash in on Hermansen and have sounded out potential replacements.

Why would Wood leave Forest for us?

The Athletic do this survey every season. Nearly 1 in 3 Leicester fans excited for the upcoming season and are full of optimism. Absolute jokers. The sort that Rudkin, Whelan and Top love to have around.

Anyone giving the club £70 for one of these shirts is a 🔔🔚

That is terrible and extremely Palace.

Hmmmmm. I think you may need to take the blue tinted specs off 😂😂

Leeds aren't still in the Championship because Rutter isn't good enough.
-
He's clearly not crap as we ourselves found out last season. I do think £40m is a good 10m too much but he's an extremely talented footballer.
-
Nah he literally is a number 6.

It'll be whinging, moaning and booing just like it was in 22/23. We're got an extremely entitled fanbase.

All I did was add up 3 numbers of publicly available information mate. 2022/23 - £89.7m loss. 2021/22 - £92.5m loss. 2020/21 - £33.1m loss. Meaning all in all we've lost £215.3m in the last three seasons which is £110.3m more than we're permitted to lose. Since then we've had a huge financial hit of being in the Championship, we lost a very lucrative sponsorship with FSB and we had to pawn off assets for less than their market rate so it will be much, much worse when last season's accounts are released given we no longer have assets we can sell for £40m+.

The classic "I know you are but what am I". Our finances are in the shit mate. We're about £100m short of meeting PSR's £105m loss over 3 rolling seasons and the season just gone in the Championship is going to put a huge dent in that. You can sit there and pretend we can still afford to splash the cash and King Power absolutely can but Leicester City cannot. I have an eye on the club's future and I can see it being extremely bleak if/when we go down this season. The hope is that PSR rules are relaxed (and I think this may happen) but it's about time the club stopped chucking money about in stupid areas to solve the problems that have gathered as a result of chucking money about in stupid areas.

I was sure I had seen £30m quoted from when it became apparent our £23m bid and Ipswich's £25m bid were turned down but now I can't find where I saw that Either way. It's north of £25m so still pretty eyewatering.

I would say that it's reckless and the EFL have shown they don't muck about when it comes to dishing out points deductions to clubs that overspend in the Championship. If we can stay up then yes I think we can afford it but I just don't know if he's really the difference between staying up or not because we don't know what the points deduction will be. It's clearly a big risk to take and when you consider that this lad has never played outside of Greece where even there his scoring record isn't exactly blistering... I don't know.
-
I'd agree but Fotis won't be the player we go for unless Top decides to go nuclear. £30m is beyond our budget and going after him would have be seriously worried for our longer term future.
-
No but I'm not exactly upset either. There were clear positives to having Zaha but I personally thought the negatives outweighed them. My main worry is that the season starts in 5 days time and we currently don't have anyone to play up top given Cannon hasn't played in pre-season. Ideally we get Hlozek and someone that can sit just ahead of him. Worth noting though that just because the deal for Zaha has hit a snag, Ornstein hasn't suggested that it's gone cold. I'd imagine both clubs will still want this to happen.

Galatasaray fan on Reddit suggesting that Zaha is being paid more than the club announce which is why they wanted us to pay a flat £9m fee and leaving them to pay his wage.
