Take his freak game against Portsmouth out and he's scored 13 Championship goals from open play in 55 appearances (nearly 4000 minutes - roughly 44 full games worth). For £10m rising to £13m, it's good business. Especially when you listen to Stoke fans who say that he's nothing but a finisher.

My only negative is that every time he scores against clubs like Portsmouth and Oxford you'll get the usual drips on here whinging about how we should have kept him.

Result driven opinions certainly aren't pointless. It's a results driven business. Ultimately he can't keep losing games. Yes they've been tricky fixtures but we've also lost home games against Wolves, Palace and Fulham at an aggregate score of 0-7. When you're 0-2 down in a must win game having lost your previous 6 and the stadium is singing "you don't know what you're doing" then your job is going to be at risk. I don't think I'm quite in the Ruud out camp myself. But unless things start to change, I don't think anyone will have a choice.

I think he's got every right to be annoyed that we're not proactive in the market. But to me this is Ruud trying to deflect blame for the last 6 weeks. Ultimately not many managers will survive 7 defeats on the trot. He will know that. Just as he will have known that we're constantly walking the tight rope of PSR and that the squad is pitiful before taking the job.

No it wouldn't! They would still not want you there. Lets say the average spend for a STH at a home game is a fiver. You're not even covering Vardy's weekly wage with that amount of money. It's a drop in the ocean. They don't want "legacy fans". In their ideal world they would sell your ticket to a tourist that spend hundreds at each game and then never see them again as they go back to their homes on the other side of the world. They don't want season ticket holders. It's a frame of mind and nothing to do with whether or not you buy a programme/coffee/hot dog etc. There is no "Oh shit we've pissed off the local community and fanbase again" with this ownership. It's "here they are moaning again why don't they just **** off".
