The whole "Oh we'd all pay a small fee for a GP appointment, wouldn't we?" is the sort of misinformation that makes people think that private healthcare is a good thing. It'll cost far more than that, the demand will still be very high, the quality will not improve and the poorest will be hit the hardest.

Why do you think a flat fee of £20 or £30 would be what it would cost? I'd love for that to be the case. I'm sure we all would. However, it's completely unrealistic. It's more likely to be 10 times that amount. Would you still be happy?

It won't cost £20!!! That is just a fantasy that people like Nigel Farage will keep spewing to try and make the switch from national to private healthcare more palatable for the average citizen. It's like me saying to you, "Why don't you spend a fortnight in the Bahamas for your next holiday? It'll only cost you a fiver".

Because the point you were making is daft. It's likely to cost well over 5 times that amount to see a private doctor. Bupa for instance charge £200 for a 45 minute appointment and this is while they're competing against the NHS. Take away free healthcare and the prices will skyrocket.

It's not an irrational fear. Private hospitals are wildly unaffordable.

Why do you think it'll cost £20? The average annual cost for individual health insurance in America in 2024 was over $8,000. Those figures only go one way too (hint: it's up). Is your employer going to pay for your insurance without it dramatically affecting your salary? I doubt it.

What have you seen to give you this impression?

Farage has said it himself that stopping the boats is a two day exercise. Once it's clear that boats are sent back, human trafficking across the channel stops. Then you have to sit back and watch the country be sold off. If Labour had any sense they'd realise the threat of Reform and make a serious effort to shut down the boats while we're still far from the election.

The worrying thing is that you don't need to fight for them either.

I do think that there are a lot of people living in Britain these days that do not make an effort to integrate themselves in to that ideal British society and I would include a lot of the people that turn up to these "Unite The Kingdom" marches into this. Just be nice to each other and work hard for the betterment of yourself, your family and your neighbour. Contribute to your community. Reform's plans to privatise the NHS should be enough to put of any "true Brit".

Come into a bit of an issue with my car this morning. It turns on just fine but it doesn't idle until you've driven about for a bit. As I pulled off the drive this morning and stalled. First I thought I must have not been concentrating so I turned it on again and watched the rev counter go up as normal but instead of idling at about 700/800 revs it just dropped straight through to 0 and stalled. As I say, it starts just fine but you need to manually keep the revs up until you drive it for a couple of hundred metres or so.

Tom Cannon was and is absolutely average and we got paid £10m for him. 4 goals in 39 games for us and since selling him. Even his loan spell at Stoke, he hardly lit the place up. He had one great game against Portsmouth but otherwise scored 7 in 24 for them.

Can't think of a boxer who got people to follow him like Ricky Hatton. There might be boxers who have drawn in bigger PPV figures or filled out bigger venues but Ricky had 10s of thousands following him to Vegas for his Mayweather and Pacquiao fights. I think this is our biggest rivalry these days. Recent games with Forest have been stale (aside from the game in April) and I can't even remember when we last played Derby whereas it feels like there's genuine hatred between us and Coventry. £65m for a 25 year old winger who has just scored 20 league goals for Brentford seems fair to me.
