  1. Is it? Ayew scored 5 in 18 90s in the Premier League.
  2. I think Mavididi, Monga, Fatawu and Ayew is perfectly fine for the Championship. We need to be buying first team players, not 4th choice wingers. A striker is imperative.
  3. I'd agree with all that bar "can create".
  4. There should be two more statues outside the KP. One for Jamie Vardy and one for The Birch.
  5. I think he'll flourish in a more 'Nigel Pearson' type dressing room. He's undoubtedly a very hard worker and a genuinely top finisher. I can see Ipswich getting their money's worth.
  6. Fair play. I do think he's a very useful player to have and his attitude is absolutely spot on. But £12m surely either releases the pressure on selling Bilal or can be reinvested into a first team option. I wish Kasey all the best at Ipswich. I will miss the lad.
  7. For me, the greater issue was not letting the 2018-2022 squad leave for a good value and bumping their wages through the roof to keep them here.
  8. Depressing that, of all clubs, a Leicester fan can think this way. This has all been our own doing. Newcastle, Villa, Brighton, Brentford, Palace etc have all shown that you can disturb the elite with good decision making.
  9. I'm seeing Newcastle being linked with Jorgen Strand-Larsen for £60m. Insane money and proper desperate stuff.
  10. The main issue people have with PSR. Look at the reactions from Villa fans with Jacob Ramsey going to Newcastle. In an ideal world we'd keep him and he'd be here for years and years, he'd play here and there and would develop with us. But £5m-£10m goes down as pure profit and offers a lot of headroom. Difficult to turn that down when we're in a mess financially.
  11. Southampton are interested in Finn Azaz but Boro want £12m. If Bilal goes he would be my choice to replace him.
  12. I think you're being generous. Faes - Shocking signing. A large reason for our decline is attitude off the pitch. Something that Glover clearly has no interest in. Kristiansen - Has the ability of a mid-table Championship left back and the personality of a ham sandwich. Awful signing. Souttar - £1m per league appearance. Awful signing. Cannon - Extremely fortunate to sell him for such a large price so that's a bit of luck. Mavididi - Good signing for the price and our standing at the time. What we needed. Hermansen - Good signign for the price. Bit of a punt and it worked. Sold for good profit (some would argue not enough of a profit). Coady - Really poor signing. Bit part player in our Championship winning season. Massive wages. Horrendous mistake after horrendous mistake in the Premier League. Sold for a big loss. Winks - Looked to be an inspired signing but he's thrown his toys out of the pram because he was asked to live closer to the City. Again no interest in scouting his personality. Fatawu - A genuine 10/10 signing. Okoli - Hasn't done anything since he got here yet he cost £15m. Awful signing. Skipp - Atrocious signing. A genuine 0/10. Ayew - I don't mind it but he's probably on a tidy wage. I see the benefits of him but we needed much more. BEK - A clever signing. Young hungry player with bags of ability and potential. It's worked out well and we'll sell for a 50% profit. Coulibaly - Another 0/10 signing.
  13. I suppose wingers would be Mavididi, Monga, Fatawu, Ayew, Alves and BDCR. Should be plenty enough.
  14. Didn't we turn down about £8m in January?
  15. Don't be sad that it happened, be happy that it's over.
  16. I actually like him and would rather keep but anything over 6m should be accepted. Hopefully we can get the money they got for scamming Wrexham for Nathan Broadhead.
  17. He'd had a 14 goals + 8 assists season for QPR.
  18. IIRC Fatawu obliterated the record for chances created in a Championship season when we were last in this league. It's so important that we keep him (and I think we will). Bilal is much more of a luxury and we (or at least, a well functioning club) could spend £35m on 3/4 key players to transform our chances.
  19. I really doubt it. They'd surely want someone more proven.
  20. I really like Bilal and in an ideal world we keep him. But £35m for an attacker with 8 goals in over 150 career appearances? Is he really worth half of an Eberechi Eze? We really, really have to replace him though.
  21. It's completely ridiculous how harshly they've been treated. There's just no way this would happen to a bigger club. UEFA are in a right mess with multi-club ownerships.
  22. £30m+ is a fair deal. The lad has clearly got all the talent in the world in terms of technical ability and he's not workshy either. I think he'll go on to have a very good Premier League level career. But I would say two things about him. 1) He doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be in the Championship and hasn't played well in any game since relegation. 2) It's a lot of money for a player that does not contribute (yet) with regards to goals and assists. I think we need a player that can guarantee both if they're going to be the starting number 10 for a side that wants to get promotion. If we can invest this money into three positions (midfield, attacking midfield and striker) then we will be in a much better position in terms of squad balance. We can't go the entire season with our central midfield options being Winks, Soumare, Choudhury and Skipp, our attacking midfield options being Alves and Monga and our striker options being Daka and Ayew. That's just not going to get us into the top 6.
  23. 100% IMO that sort of award is perfect for Myles Lewis-Skelly.
