  1. Do you need a goalkeeper? We have this upcoming bloke called Danny Ward.
  2. I don’t think it would be imminent. Unfortunately it would most likely be in a situation where the hand is forced.
  3. Everything is for sale at the right price.

So WWE moved to Netflix today. Including all of the Chris Benoit footage that had been removed! I’m surprised at that.
  5. Yes, knowing how it works currently, they’d give the greedy six a higher wage cap!
  6. I like the idea of a wage cap. However it would need to be across UEFA, so it’s doesn’t damage the league. We saw the impact the wage cap had on English rugby.
  7. Very true actually. I still think the horse has bolted.
  8. We need a bit of variety on here at times. It sparks conversation and it’s not wrong to have a different view. I just wish that people would be open to different opinions at times, rather than the aggressive backlash people sometimes take.

    Ew, really?

I can get on board with this!
  10. That’s because we purchased dross!
  11. Which one?!?
  12. That’s his major downside. I’m surprised Cooper didn’t utilise him as an old school stick your head on it and pump it into the stands defender though.
  13. King Power no longer own us directly. They haven’t since the 22nd February 2019. Top has control and I’m not sure it makes that much difference. Reading the accounts it acknowledges that we are part of the wider group. I do wonder if we are tidying up stuff on companies house as we have a new Financial Director. King Power was also restructured last year (or 2023) https://corporate.kingpower.com/en/king-power-revamps-new-strategies-in-the-past-3-decades/ It’s clear they what to branch outside of duty free as that limits them as they basically operate under license. As a larger rule, we are part of the King Power, Thai Power which is promoting the growth of sport and encouraging Thai people to seek to go further. https://kingpowerthaipower.com Whether we like it or not, King Power aren’t going anywhere, as we are a vessel to promote football, sport, growth etc to the Thailand people and hence the name worldwide. Not sure how much of this is to generate additional revenue toward the King Power brand but call me cyclical! However we need to stay in the Premier League to enhance it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see King Power acquire more sports clubs. I wonder if they’d ever considered the Tigers.
  14. He’s a limited but effective defender. He is not that different to Huth and Morgan and they did really well in the right system. Sheffield United mate of mine was hoping they’d get him permanently, as he’s been great for them.
  15. Wolves have definitely had some rough treatment from VAR not intervening in situations where it should have done. I also think the Cunha situation could have been dealt with significantly better. No surprise that the Premier League and the inconsistent approach it uses though, are a bit of a farce. The Pedro one at Brighton will be interesting, as he’s clearly tried to elbow Yarmolyuk. Clear intent, but how many players going storming into tackles and miss?

    Ew, really?

I started the topic to weed them out
  20. Sorry to rain on everyone’s parade, however if you put Justin in League 2, he’d look like the best player in the league. The game has levels. Just because Justin is struggling, doesn’t mean he’s a horrific player. Cover would get ripped to pieces in the Premier League.
  21. Bowen fractured foot, that’s West Ham struggling. We could sell them Wardinho for the right midfield slot,
  22. He’ll get minutes at QPR I’d imagine, unless we sign a raft of players early in the window, so he’s loaned out.
  23. The thing is, football has been a billionaire’s play thing for 25+ years. Trying to implement rules once the horse has bolted, is like trying to enforce making it illegal to use your mobiles phones for payments in a McDonalds drive thru. It’s also anti competitive. So many business generate cash and pump money into themselves to compete, stay in business and grow. If businesses were penalised with the severity a points deduction has on a business for running at a loss, we’d have no Apple, no AirBnB, no Disney, no Starbucks, no Lego, no Marvel, no Netflix, no Ford, no Converse, no Nintendo. It’s basically a death sentence if we got another this season. Teams like Brentford, Brighton, West Ham are all one bad transfer window away from ending up like we did. If they want a more balanced league, they’d be better introducing a draft, wage cap or transfer cap. However everyone would revolt as that’s just not going to work.
  24. This is exactly how I read it. The rules are a mess. We are a mess. Manchester City are a mess. Chelsea are a mess. Manchester United are a mess. Nottingham Forest are a mess. Everton are a mess. Aston Villa are a mess. Newcastle are a mess. The league is a mess. The Premier League are inflicting self harm on themselves by having such an inconsistent approach to how it’s dealing with all of this. Yet, we are all owned by billionaires. It’s a truly crazy situation that needs sorting out, otherwise clubs will up going under.
