  1. This press will destroy us if they carry on. We can’t cope with being pressed.
  2. Okoli has started well
  3. Find a friend with Sky Go! You can watch it on the App as well
  4. Yes, not sure what he was doing.
  5. Has Ben Nelson got a 50p head? What’s he seen heading that into the air there?
  6. Completely different tactics to the weekend. They are driving inside and rotating around players.
  7. Yes; if you go to the sports sections it shows up
  8. Just as they have a free kick on the edge of the box …..
  9. Wilder was / is a puncher, not a great boxer. So many question about how good Wilder is. I’ll give Fury fights 2 and 3, however that first fight should have gone to Wilder. It was never a draw.

  11. If anything, I think that fact we’ve sold Fofana, Maddison, Barnes, Dewsbury-Hall, Castagne, Hermansen, McAteer, Justin, Ndidi and Cannon for a combined total for what you’d buy half the Championship bottom half for; potential highlights our incompetence even more!
  12. Yes, they’ve had different goalkeepers this season I believe. In term of Thai ownership, it might just be a coincidence I’d imagine. Chansiri has run them into the ground, however plenty of other clubs run very poorly in reality. Shinawatra purchased Manchester City. He was a little bit dodgy. Thanakarnjanasuth did okay at Oxford and arguably was part of the consortium that saved Reading. If anything, the “Srivaddhanaprabha” family get off quite lightly in reality, by how they are framed in the media etc, if you consider the links they have to the Thailand government. A government that is highly criticised for suppressing free speech, military influenced, political back sliding, human rights violations, electoral integrity and doing little to nothing in terms of reforming this. If they were from UAE, Qatar, Iran etc, can you imagine the stick they’d get!? It’s easy to leave politics out of sport, however sports washing is a thing in reality.
  13. Having just gone on a rant in the other topic about our squad for next season. It now blows my mind that 22 of the 24 current championship clubs have a higher nett spend than the “mighty” Leicester City. Did you also know that of all the clubs in the Championship during the past 5 years, we’ve had the lowest number of squad arrivals and departures? We’ve spent a lot on guff, however clearly have overspent and then can’t get rid of people, or they’ve left on free transfers. Source : (Another really reliable source) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/einnahmenausgaben/wettbewerb/GB2/plus/0?ids=a&sa=&saison_id=2025&saison_id_bis=2020&nat=&pos=&altersklasse=&w_s=&leihe=&intern=0#google_vignette
  14. And I get we’ve made some some decent sales in that time, with the likes of Maddison, Barnes, KDH, Fofana and Chilwell. That well has dried up now. Reality is Monga can leave in the cheap, he’s the feel in the crown. I’m not convinced that the rest of the current crop of youth players are any better or worse than your run of the mill youth product that is being churned out by every Premier League club. The players we sold, were all established, Premier League players that could command a good transfer fee. We’d be lucky to make £80m for all of our current squad combined, which is the reported fee that we got for Fofana alone.
  15. We joke, however our nett spend to improve this situation has been horrendous in comparison to our peers since Covid. 25/26 - We have made £50.3m 24/25 - We spent £38.2m 23/24 - We made £51.2m 22/23 - We made £28.3m 21/22 - We spent £55.5m 20/21 - We spent £4.92m Meaning out nett spend since the season after COVID in reality has been the club has made £31.2m in transfer fees! Thats covering wages and running of the club in reality. The danger is we are quickly running out of assets to actually sell. Sure we’ll sell Fatawu, El Khannous and maybe Monga this summer, which will generate another £50m but I don’t expect us to re-invest, even with an even significantly reduced wage bill. They believe that Seagrave can build a profitable, sustainable football model to see us successful in my opinion. We make the odd marquee signing but that just isn’t how football works at the top level. If anything, by overpaying on wages and not selling assets and let them leave on a free has crippled us. If you compare our nett spend to the current 20 premier league teams, we are miles behind in terms of actually re-investment. Manchester United : -£681m Arsenal FC : -£668m Chelsea FC : -£642m Tottenham Hotspur : -£579m Newcastle United : -£428m Liverpool FC : -£424m Manchester City : -£399m Nottingham Forest : -£330m West Ham United : -£320m Crystal Palace : -£203m Fulham FC : -£144m Sunderland AFC : -£141m AFC Bournemouth : -£131m Burnley FC : -£107m Brentford FC : -£103m Aston Villa : -£95m Leeds United : -£75m Everton FC : -£12m Brighton & Hove Albion : +£0.5m Wolverhampton Wanderers : +£28m ————————— Leicester City : +£31.2m In fact the only two clubs with a better nett spend than us currently in the Championship in the past 5 years are Blackburn (notoriously run well by the Venky Chicken folk) and Watford (A non basket case of a club). We sit 3rd bottom of nett spend for teams who have competed in the Championship! Let that sink in. No coincidence that Wolves are bottom of the Premier League now? Whatever has gone on at Tottenham makes King Power look efficient currently. Under this ownership and strategy we won’t compete at that top table realistically. If anything the Premier League (once in a millennium) win could have made things worse by assuming that you can build and sustain things on the cheap. The Premier League is a billionaires playground and you need to burn money to stay in it. This is the bit everyone misses in reality, as our previous success can paint a great picture. We are like building a palace on top of sand. It’s all going to collapse at some point. I’m surprised this hasn’t been spoken about more in reality and picked up by the various podcast that cover our club. Even if we survive the drop, we aren’t going anywhere until this strategy changes. 16. Also, just some more interesting info for you. I found this recently. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/tabellenachminuten/wettbewerb/GB2?saison_id=2025&range=Kickoff%3BFull+Time&time_start=0&time_end=AB It doesn’t take account our wonderful points deduction, however if you consider how bad our 2nd half’s have been this season, this would be our league position is the game finished in the following minutes. KO until 15 minutes : 21st KO until 30 minutes : 16th KO until 45 minutes : 19th Half Time : 19th KO until 60 minutes : 19th KO until 75 minutes : 22nd KO until 90 minutes : 22nd Full time : 22nd
  17. To be honest, I’ve got no idea if Cifuentes is a good, bad or average coach. When you’re working with slop, you are making the best of a bad situation. I’m not sure if he spent 7 months working with his hands tied, as he wasn’t allowed to make changes, recruit players or add staff members he deemed necessary. If Glover is signing the players, can you blame Cifuentes for Carranza, Ramsey or Vieites? Tactically in reality he’s been left with a team of overpaid, under motivated players even before he arrived. Something that we are all Rowett manages to get a tune out of. The reality is Cifuentes couldn’t do any worse than what Cooper or Van Nistelrooy did, albeit with an even worse squad. We spent no money in the summer to improve the squad really, bar whatever we have paid for loan deal. We’ve then proceeded to lose Vardy, El Khannous, Hermansen, McAteer, Justin, Ndidi, Coady, Iversen, Ward (), Coulibally and Faes, without adequately replacing them. If anything, we’ve asked him to rely on youth products which come with a solid reputation but experience in one of the most competitive leagues in world football. Could he have done things different tactically, the answer is “yes”. However the bloke isn’t turning water into wine and when your attacking option is Ayew or Daka, who have scored less than San Marino have (I’m guessing here) in the last year, then he’s on a hiding to nothing. It’s a bit like asking would you rather guide your dad into your mum, or be a Forest / Coventry Season Ticket holder for the next 25 years. If you look at West Broms squad man for man, compared to ours, Blackburn, Oxford, Portsmouth, Norwich etc, are they that much worse than us? On paper we should be nowhere near where we are, however fooball isn’t played on paper. When you look at people like Issac Price who’s having steady season, then Maja who’s potentially playing worse than Ayew at the moment, you only need to get a tune out of them and they’ll start to score goals.
  18. That’s being positive!
  19. The El Khannous, Monga and Fatawu sales and everything we cut off that wage bill with the likes of Winks, Daka, Ayew and Ricardo going sees us having more free cash. Okoli and Kristiansen will be farmed out on loan. I’m just not convinced we invest and we will try and rely on the players we have to get us back out of this. If nothing else, the sales of those players covers Seagrave for a few more years.
  20. I could see the first team squad next season looking like this if we go down, with next to no investment for incoming players. GKs - Stolarkzyk, Vieietes and Bausor DFs - Nelson, Souttar, Vestergaard, Thomas, Alunko, Coulibally, Gray, Amartey, Ali MFs - Skipp, Choudhury, Page, Golding, Thomas, Braybrooke, Alves, Cartwright, Joseph, Motsi FWs - Evans, Mavididi, Reid, Hutchinson Out - Begovik, Faes, Ricardo, Okoli, Lascelles, James, Winks, Aribo, Mukasa, Ramsey, Fatawu, Daka, Ayew, Richards, Marçal, Monga, El Khannous, Wilson-Brown, Popov, Opuku
  21. We overpaid for him and whilst he is a different type of fullback to Luke Thomas, he still is not exactly very good. Bologna don’t take the option on him for a reason.
  22. I’m am not sure if we would be any better under Vichai. King Power got lucky that they landed on Pearson, Walsh and Shakespeare. They put together a team of individuals that achieved something truly incredible. However let’s not forget the following seasons when Vichai was still with us as well. We weren’t exactly pulling up trees the following season when Kante left. Walsh left as well. We finished 12th. Our recruitment was horrible that summer and the following year we had the Adrien Silva debacle. We will never truly know whose fault that actually was. It was a lot better in the following two seasons though before he sadly passed away. When you consider we signed Iheanacho, Evans, Maguire, Maddison, Tielemans and Soyuncu. How much of that was Macia and how much gets attributed to Puel is debatable. Macia left in March 2019, the month after Rodgers had joined. Congerton replaced him and it’s been downhill ever since.
  23. Phillips had just played the ball at this stage. The Sheffield Wednesday player is low trying to block it. It is not like he has gone in at knee height in a 50/50. He played the ball and his momentum has carried him through, against a player that is low the the ground. Is this was one of our players, you wouldn’t be happy with it. Football is quickly becoming a none contact sport.
  24. Was it a red for Phillips? Has the game really gone? That was a standard challenge back in the 90s. You wouldn’t even get a foul for it.
  25. Choosing between Thomas and Kristiansen is like choosing if you rather than on a plug or a load of Lego’s. Sqwarka conparison
