  1. We need Coventry to do us a favour and beat West Brom As well. What has the world come to.
  2. He’s a more solid defender but has got a useless long throw and can’t cross. Then again, a road cone would be a better defender than Thomas the last 6 months.
  3. I’ve heard donkeys call their most clumsy friends an Okoli! It upsets me that he’s playing. What time will be give a penalty away? 16th minute?
  4. This is on SkySports+ for anyone that wants to torture themselves.
  5. Ayew, doesn’t get his £ per touch bonus
  6. Yes, he’s out injured for a few weeks
  7. I’m happy with that. I mean, I’m not, however it’ll do.
  8. Today is the day We sort our shit out We play a balanced team We put Ayew in the bin We keep a clean sheet We play boring but steady football We start to pull ourselves out of the mire Today is the day.
  9. It’s even worse the that. I think we’d lose to this team. These are all playing in the Championship this season. GK - Iversen LB - Schlupp CB - Coady CB - Doyle RB - Brunt LM - Gray CM - James CM - Mendy RM - McAteer ST - Cannon ST - Hirst S1 - Ward S2 - Mee S3 - Tavares S4 - Knight
  10. Top would love being a YoYo club! He’d hold a parade for promotion from League 1 every year and celebrate like we’d won the Champions League with loads of Influencers who he’s paid to attend.
  11. Still 1/4 of the season to go. A lot can happen in that time. 2 games ago it was us or Blackburn. Now they’ve won two people are saying there safe? Still a lot of water to go under the bridge.
  12. I can some them restructuring it at some point to make it two leagues or 16, with a Premier League A & B. Then some form of a knockout system for the teams that finish top. All very American but again, larger audiences, more eyes.l, more money etc! This will then be a Premier League Streaming Service as a stand alone. That then bites the hand that feeds it.
  13. All valid questions / statements to be honest. I think it’s all so murky that no one knows. For all we know, they might be just hanging it out to dry as a sole entity, that they want to stand on its own two feet. That simply doesn’t work in football if you want to be successful. I’m not sure if they are appealing because we’re in trouble, they feel wronged, they’re saving face, or just generally stupid at this point.
  14. King Power aren’t in administration as I’ve seen mentioned a few times across various topics. They did come under financial stress so to speak due to fall in tourist numbers, so they’ve renegotiated the airport contracts, shut down under performing ships etc, as they were unsustainable. If anything they’re reacting to the market like any sensible business would, albeit rather late! A sign they’re really wobbling would be a court petition gets filled in Thailand, citing the need for “Business Rehabilitation”. That hasn’t happened. The reality is they’re so large, with complex shell companies, that it isn’t really black and white. Half the reason they need competent people running us, which clearly hasn’t been the case.
  15. He’s now the best Left Back at the club.
  16. We will have attracted a lot of fans over the last 10 years due to what we’d achieved. When the “product” drops two divisions, they don’t stop liking football, they’ll just go and watch it somewhere else. It’s a bit like if the Highcross was filled with shops like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Rolex, Prada, Dior, Cartier, Delvaux etc, then it’s replaced within 2 years by a Poundland, Vape Shop, B&M, Cash Convertors, Home Bargins and the other half is boarded up. It’s not just the people that will stop coming, it’s also the amount of disposable income those people have to buy “tat” like a half and half shirt for £180 with some dodgy King Power gimmick on it, or some King Power Socks for £30.
  17. We are owned by King Power in reality. We’ll know the financial situation with them at the end of April when they release the accounts in Thailand. The reality most likely is that King Power are in healthier shape as tourism in Thailand is returning to a more stable level, hitting somewhere in the 36m in 2024. The impact of less people from China will have been felt as last year is estimated to have fallen for the first time since Covid to around 33m. King Power wobbled during 2019 - 2022 as they had less than 18m visitors over a 3 year period. When your income is impacted so significantly, all investments will suffer. However they weren’t short on money and still hold a large property portfolio and assets outside King Power itself that sit within other businesses. In reality lots of talk about Seagrave being unsustainable, the club could sell it to the property management business that also own the stadium and then rent it back at a loss. It’s all just creative accounting. To King Power, Seagrave was always bigger than just being about Leicester City. The challenge is being compliant with the rules of both the Premier and English Football League. Whilst other clubs have been more creative around how they’ve done it, we’ve blatantly overspent, not filled accounts on time etc. I’m not quite sure how you defend it. The appeal can only be on how inconsistent the reduction in points setting is determined, as a president precedent has been set with others, which makes ours look a tad harsh. I find it bonkers though that we are now spending as much time discussing the financial rules of how to operate a football club and what we can and can’t do. I think what I find somewhat annoying is that if we’d really thrown money at this 10 years earlier, we could be a financial powerhouse. The Premier League isn’t a level playing field. Our growth has really coincided with the the financial rules tightening. The real question remains on what is the strategy of the club. Does it want to pursue glories and be a Premier League club, or in reality, are we now moving to a model whereby Seagrave generates talent due to its Tier 1 academy status, which we then look to sell? If the academy ever gets downgraded, due to failed audits. I’d suggest that is when we are really in trouble.
  18. They’ll be an element of truth in what was said on the BSLB podcast. If I hadn’t seen such riches, I could live with being poor. Also, if they don’t do anything with the pricing should we get relegated, they’ll just give themselves more grief.
  19. Date Arsenal Man City Aston Villa 21/02 Newcastle (H) Leeds United (H) 22/02 Tottenham (A) 28/02 Chelsea (H) Leeds United (A) Wolves (A) 04/03 Brighton (A) Forest (H) Chelsea (H) 14/03 Everton (H) West Ham (A) Man Utd (A) 21/03 Palace (H) West Ham (H) 11/04 Bournemouth (H) Chelsea (A) Forest (A) 18/04 Man City (A) Arsenal (H) Sunderland (H) 25/04 Newcastle (H) Burnley (A) Fulham (A) 02/05 Fulham (H) Everton (A) Tottenham (H) 09/05 West Ham (A) Brentford (H) Burnley (A) 17/05 Burnley (H) Bournemouth (A) Liverpool (H) 24/05 Palace (A) Aston Villa (H) Man City (A) Not much in terms of anyone having an easier run in at the moment. The League cup final winner might get momentum. Plus Arsenal / Man City are still competing on 4 fronts, whereas Villa are only in the Europa and Premier League, so will have less games. I would love Villa to sneak it and upset all of the Man City / Arsenal fans. It would be like us going under the radar in 15/16 until the final 3rd and becoming acknowledged as a possibility.
  20. I still think Arsenal could finish 3rd.
  21. The staff list has been updated on the website. Gary Rowett First Team Manager Callum Davidson Assistant Manager Andy King First Team Coach Adam Sadler First Team Coach Andrew Hughes First Team Set Piece Coach Matt Reeves Head Of Fitness & Conditioning Dr. Simon Morris Head of Medicine
  22. I think 90% of the Leicester fan base would choose Daka over Ayew. It’s a failing of the club to find an alternative that is frustrating. However we haven’t exactly played to Dakas strengths either. He isn’t a Vardy that will generate you chances on his own. Why we’ve persisted with Ayew is beyond me. Rowett will have fun pulling all of this together though in the next few days.
  23. It’ll be HR doing that bit I’d imagine!
  24. Rowetts backroom team could be interesting as well, as they are also previously linked to Leicester. Mark Sale (Assistant Head Coach): A key lieutenant who followed Rowett to Burton, Birmingham, Derby, Stoke, Millwall, and Oxford. Joe Carnall (Head of Tactical Insights/Analysis):Worked with Rowett for over eight years, handling performance and tactical analysis. Dave Carolan (Head of Performance/Physical Performance): Long-term fitness specialist who joined Rowett at Derby, Stoke, and Birmingham. Oxford United Football Club +3 Previous Key Staff (Stoke/Derby/Birmingham): Kevin Summerfield: Assistant manager (Birmingham). Rory Delap: First-team coach (Stoke). Kevin Phillips: First-team coach (Stoke). Callum Davidson: First-team coach (Stoke). Kevin Poole: Goalkeeper coach (Burton, Birmingham, Derby). Paul Robinson: Technical coach (Birmingham).
