Fatawu is an absolute nutter at times! I love that as a young flair player he tracks back and does the dirty work - but sometimes he scares the shit out of me.

Rubbish. Watch and analyse the finances properly and stop writing threads that make the fans pile on with negativity. Spend like we have for the rest of the season and we’ll be absolutely fine. Turned down the opportunity to sign numerous good players, we’re in profit on any other day! -
Our 9-0 away record - could it go tonight?

There is a reason no team has scored 10 in a single PL game. I’m sure that Boxing Day set of fixtures 1963 was the last time a club scored 10 in a top flight game. There have been some unbelievable teams and players since then and some absolute shockers too, but it’s almost impossible in a top flight game. Our record will stand for a long, long time. -
Man Utds treble winners from 1999 - from memory so I’d have to check, but I’m sure they didn’t win a single game in December. Also Man Utd’s You don’t win anything with kids team - only lost 4 games for the whole season - 3 were in March and April, quite a few draws around that time too, before they won the last 5 games to take the league title.

I’d love to see the goals for and against stats for when KDH, Winks and Ndidi are on the pitch together vs the same stats when one or more of them is removed.

Fook sake, we’re not playing Barcelona and Real Madrid in our next two! We’ve had one really bad game and all of a sudden we’ve completely fooked it, we’ve blown promotion, we’re going into administration and heading back to League One, and some of you seriously question the mentality of the players… The reality is all 4 teams have had poor runs of form, all 4 teams will win a lot of games and all 4 teams will lose games between now and the end of the season. If all results go as they did in the first game, we win the league by a long way. Yes we’ve lost 3 on the spin, but 2/3 we’ve actually played pretty well.

Where does all the money go? As far as transfers go, I can only think of one season in the last 10 or so years we have made a significant loss. Most seasons we turn a profit or are within 10/15 million of the overall outgoingS? We’ve never really splurged in the Way Forest or Everton have? Is this more down to the lack of revenue being brought in from other areas of the club? -
Lucky with officials??? You’re having a laugh! In our games against 2 of our promotion rivals, at 1-0 up, we’ve had a stone wall penalty and red card not given and a perfectly good goal ruled out! When you have wingers that attack with pace you find you get more penalties, that’s a simple fact. Also the fact we have a 15 goal better goal difference would suggest we have been more dominant. I’ve watched a fair bit of Ipswich, Leeds and Southampton this year, and all three, as well as ourselves have had games when we have been fortunate to win, and also games when we have ripped apart the opposition. At the end of the day, with 11 games remaining, we’re slightly ahead of you, a little further ahead of Leeds and have a pretty healthy cushion against Southampton. All four will have good and bad games between now and the end of the season. I still think with Ndidi set to come back soon, when we have Winks, KDH and Ndidi in the team no one in this league gets near us.

Who are you playing at 8 then? No Ndidi, Praet, Casadei has gone back, Alves is injured again, Ricardo is injured, McAteer is injured. We didn’t get the transfer we wanted over the line, there are no other options really? -
Kelechi is a proven Premier League goal scorer, there are teams crying out for goal scorers at the bottom of the PL, I know it’s not easy but if the deal is right, surely he’d improve Everton, Sheff Utd, Luton, Burnley, Forest etc… Other clubs seem to make deals happen for the players they no longer require. Souttar - hasn’t kicked a ball for us, but has on the international stage and has been brilliant again would improve a lot of teams. We have an ongoing problem of not being able to shift the players we don’t require. We need huge improvements in this area as a club or we’ll always struggle to meet FFP and bring in the players we need. We shouldn’t be in a position where we have 5 or 6 quality options in CB and 4 quality options up front - and 0 options in the 8 role. It’s poor squad management and we’ve had a real problem with it for a long time.
-
I thought we cruised rather than were shit, and I think that’s part of a bigger problem. So many games this season we’ve had won by 70 minutes and then cruised out to the finish line, we’re just not conditioned to play the 90 so when we need to dig in for the whole 90 like the last 3 we can’t.

Without Vestergaard we need both Coady’s experience and Doyle’s passing range. Without Ricardo we’re in trouble, without Ndidi, Casedai or Praet in the 8 role we have a massive gap. I know he won’t because he has his philosophy, but I think the best thing we could do without those big players is go 3 5 2 Hermansen Faes Coady Doyle Fatawu Winks KDH Yunus Albrighton Cannon Vardy Surprise them and change things up a little. -
Our form I don’t think is a huge problem, yes we’ve lost 3 but two of those we played really well and just couldn’t finish. Today was absolute crap and easily our worst performance of the season.
-
It keeps coming back to the January thing in terms of on field performance. Since they arrived how many signings have we made in January? And when we make those signings how does the season finish? The refusal to sign a midfield this window after we knew Ndidi was out Casedi was going back and Praet is injury prone is one of the main reasons we are struggling at the moment. It’s a consistent issue - we’ve also got players like Iheanacho and Souttar, who are not in the plans - why can’t we get these out? Even on loan should free up the money to bring in a player?
-
Great to see the masses heading for exits early again today… At some point the lads on the pitch are going to need a big effort from the stands.
-
When a player convicted of drink driving a week or so ago gets the armband today, there is clear evidence we have not got any leaders on or off the field and haven’t for a long, long time. This goes beyond the pitch and right up to the very top of the club. Zero leadership is the reason we are where we are right now.
-
It’s not the voicing of an opinion that’s the problem, everyone’s welcome to do that. Being a smug **** when we lose is the problem.
-
Not a chance, absolute small time loser mentality. We’re top of the league and have been the best side for most of the season. What sort of loser takes second from here. The mentality issues run deep at this club and it starts with the support.
