Remember playing Birmingham away when it felt like the whole world was against us. We were bottom of the league, we’d just had 9 players banged up in Spain and 3 were still in custody. We got a great 1-0 away win that day and it felt magic. One of the best away days. Anyway, I’d love to see the same at this point, a real performance from the lads and get the three points.

The problem is as Enzo said in one of his press conferences Faes is the only one of the CB with a slight amount of pace - you really can’t play Vestergaard and Coady due to the lack of pace with the way we like to play.
-
Is there any breakdown of the wages? Obviously there isn’t a break down individually, but playing staff, non playing staff, women, academy, directors etc. £200m is ridiculous
-
For as much as protest is needed, we need 90 minutes of backing the lads vocally. We simply need to go up or we’re screwed, so as fans we need to do our part. As soon as the final whistle goes, ideally we stay behind and make our voices heard Rudkin and Whelan out! In the stands and outside the main entrance like the old days with Pierpoint.

I don’t think they can, our finances for this season won’t be released for another 12 months, so if my understanding is correct we have technically not broken EFL rules at this stage. So no points deduction can be applied this season or until the accounts are released.
-
The fact that the Fans Advisory Board hasn’t been established because it’s not a requirement at this level tells you it would never be used as anything more than ticking a box by the club.
-
People didn’t complain, and they never will about keeping your best player, however, we all understood the business model and non of us would have complained had he been sold. We knew as a club each year, if we want to challenge at the highest possible level, year on year our best player(s) need to be sold for big profit. We have sold bigger players for big money and not bemoaned lack of ambition.

The same thing I can’t get over for a long time and these reports and some of the comments about unexpected loss of revenue etc. At the start of last season, Brendan Rodgers came out and said words to the effect of if you don’t back me in the transfer market we will be lucky to stay up with this squad - I can’t remember the exact quote but it was along those lines. This gave Top, Rudkin or whoever is ultimately responsible for the purse strings options: Option A Brendan is our man - let’s back him. Option B - We’ve got a squad good enough to compete, let’s sack the manager and get someone in who can do a job with this group of players. Option C we can’t afford to sack him or back him, but let’s get the accounts in order, ensure there is a contingency plan for the worst case scenario. We as a club chose to do nothing! We didn’t sell and invest, we didn’t replace the manager. Fast forwards 12 months and we can not now say relegated was completely out of the blue and we weren’t prepared for it! The fooking manager told you this was a possibility and those at the top did nothing. We sat around and allowed all of this to happen whilst saying everything is fine. Fast-forward another 12 months and post the major internal review and the same crap is happening, no leadership off the pitch, a manager that thinks funds are available suddenly told there is no money available, fatigue on and off the pitch towards the business end of the season. I mentioned it in the New manager thread, but the same crap keeps happening and will keep happening until there are major changes at the very top end of the club. Rudkin needs to go! Now! Susan Whelan needs to go now! Any on else who signs off on budgets and major financial purchases needs to go now!

Colchester pitch - reduced size

Didn’t Hull City take Phil Parkinson from them in incredibly dodgy fashion - can’t remember the full story, but it would have been around that time and they were really not happy about the situation. -
At some point it stops becoming luck and we have to take our hats off and say well done. Luck is the odd deflected goal or late winner. When it happens repeatedly, it’s not down to luck.

FFS get a grip! We’ve won today and played very well. We keep doing that for 7 more games against 7 teams we’ve already done it against and we win the league.
-
Not sure about that, if Southampton win all their games they win the league, they have an incredibly tough run, but they have the opportunity to take points off all three teams above them and have games in hand. Still a 4 horse race at this stage for me.
-
Leicester 106 Ipswich 105 Leeds 104 Southampton 101 West Brom 88 No one else can catch us. The top 3 all need to play Southampton. This last 7 games are going to be crazy. I’d imagine all 4 teams still in the autos hunt will drop points at some stage.
-
Maximum points at the top: Leicester 106 Ipswich 105 Leeds 104 Southampton 101 Southampton still have to play all of the top 3 plus Coventry and Preston, so a draw isn’t the worst result imaginable.
-
Rotherham relegated today if they lose at home to Millwall - hadn’t really looked at the bottom for a while, but whilst Rotherham are down today, the other two spots could go to any two of 8 or 9 teams.

Get the feck in!! What a performance! Just what the doctor ordered!

It’s coming…

The second one, his arm is out stretched - in the prem with VAR that’s a penalty every time.
-
Playing really well here, should be ahead. Once again we switch off for a second and get punished. Once again in a game against a top 6 side we don’t get the run of the green with refereeing decisions. On another day we have a penalty and they are down to 10 men. But we’re using the wide men well and KDH, Winks and Ndidi are bossing the midfield. Keep it up second half and we win this.

Some of the football we are capable of is absolutely sublime, when we are full of confidence and knocking it around like this. And that’s what’s the most frustrating thing when you watch games like QPR and Bristol City
