I mean he was great on Strictly Come Dancing and even Dancing on Ice, but I still think this might be a bit of a stretch!

BDCR, Ayew and Skipp were utterly dreadful signings. They gave us no chance of staying up and seriously impeded our ability to do anything in the transfer market this season. They also have no sell on value. Yes, now we’ve fallen down to the Championship we might be closer to BDCR’s level, although I wouldn’t entirely bank on it seeing the performances of Ayew thus far. He might be alright. He should certainly be useful as a squad player. He seems a decent enough chap. But he was still a really poor and unimaginative signing by any criteria. It’s a bit like us signing someone now in the hope that they’ll be pretty useful when we reach League One. -
I don’t get it. We live in a small country. London to Leicester is easily commutable if the intent is there. Winks could even afford his own driver. We’ve had loads of players over the years that weren’t Leicestershire based. I don’t believe Schmeichel ever moved to the area. Further back Gallagher was always based in the North West. Vardy was in Lincolnshire. There are probably numerous other examples. It’s a storm in a tea cup. Winks needs a good shake and to stop acting like a petulant child, but I don’t see the necessity of insisting that he live locally anyway. It’s not like he wanted to fly in from abroad for every training session.

Best Leicester 11 of your lifetime (in terms of ability)

Quite a few putting Guppy into the team. I was tempted to do the same, but I didn’t think I’d be able to do that without changing the shape of the team. Guppy mostly operated as the wide player in a back 3/5. Personally I don’t think he had all the qualities to operate as an out and out winger in a 4. His crossing ability was probably only rivalled by Beckham in his era, but other areas of his game were not as great -

No it wouldn't. It's been outside the qualifying time for decades. It's fast for mere mortals, it's faster than any woman, but not for elite male Olympians. Lineker, as I recall, was well known for busts of pace over short distances, which is generally more useful in football. -
That could be the case. I recall this time, last year, many people were putting Edouard in their starting eleven. I’d like to think that James gets in, but I think Ramsey could be quite raw and it’s a bit of a lottery with Carranza. IF Winks has stopped sulking I’d be tempted to integrate him into the team. So starting eleven (at this point in time) would be: Jakub Riccy, Vesty, Okoli, Thomas Winks, Soumare (reluctantly) Fatawu, James, Mavididi (Monga as the impact sub) Carranza …. and hope that 2 or 3 games in the new signings are proving their worth
-
I think this is a very good summary. I wish I could be as confident as those who are giving it 8 or 9/10. Carranza could come and play like Gary Taylor Fletcher for all I know and I imagine that Ramsey is quite raw.

Out of the ones who went I’ll mostly miss: Mads - thought he was a great keeper, but we were very fortunate to have Jakub as a back up Bilal - I was hoping he’d rip up this division, but was never 100% convinced he would. I still feel he’ll be a loss though even if it was the correct decision to move him on JJ - I’ve still got a soft spot for JJ, but it might be mostly nostalgia. We should have adequate cover in the squad Ndidi - For all his limitations he was still demonstrably better than Skipp and Soumare. I’d rather have had one of those go. The rest of the outs - meh!! Of the Ins I just don’t know. I felt that we needed a minimum of a striker and 2 midfielders on deadline day and that’s what we got. If Winks can stop sulking we might now just be ok in midfield. All I know about the new striker is what I’ve seen on YouTube clips. At this point in time I’ll give it 5/10. It could have been better (the last Championship summer window was excellent), but it could have been a lot worse (see our abysmal last summer window in the PL). If Carranza turns out to be any good it might turn out to be a 7 or 8/10 kind of window. Those already giving it that kind of score must have better football knowledge than me in terms of what our new players (Carranza, Ramsey) will bring

Clearly I must be, but looks like we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one

Who? -
We started the last game with a midfield 3 of Soumare, Skipp and Page. That’s not a midfield that would get us out of the division in my opinion
-
Hardly spoiled. Skipp and Soumare are shite and Winks doesn’t want to play for us
-
Don’t believe it. This thread is still only ranked at “Tier 2” …. or am I taking this too literally?

No! Thread in transfer section is still only marked as “Tier 2” so I don’t believe it -
That comment only has any weight in the context of who told you

Serves himself right after all his hi jinks!

I think I’d feel more comfortable if we weren’t relying on Ayew for anything other than perhaps coming on the pitch in the last 15 minutes and falling over regularly when touched by an opposition defender

Ooo… you little tinker you …
