Kasey McAteer (gone to Ipswich, official. 12m.)

He’s just not very good. The reality is, however, that we’re caveating every sale with the thought of who are we actually going to buy? Useful squad player if we don’t buy anyone, but you’d ordinarily hope we’d be after better -
What the likes of Cliff G seem to forget with their platitudes is that so many of us have great longevity supporting this football club. We’ve been there through long spells of mediocrity and lack of investment and supported enthusiastically. I speak personally when I say this is the lowest I’ve felt as an LCFC supporter in 40 years. We’ve been in worse positions than we are now, but the circumstances feel different. We had established ourselves as a PL club and our decline has been dramatic and rapid. The mismanagement is self evident in results both on and off the pitch. Yet nobody is accountable. Football fans are incredibly tolerant and accept a level of ineptitude that we’d never accept in any other area of life. If we received such poor service from a hotel, restaurant or theatre we’d never go back. This current regime expects that loyalty, whilst giving nothing back in return. I took the decision to give up my season ticket upon our first relegation. I realised that the only reason i was keeping it was to avoid losing it and not because I was enjoying matches anymore. I might have been more accepting if the club was communicating to me as a patron. I’ve put up with some very poor product over the years, but currently I feel that the club is taking me for granted and even treating me with contempt. I honestly believe that this club and it’s ownership are in a perilous state and something feels very wrong. I might get on board with Cliff if the club were communicating clearly about its current challenges, but it’s not. So to jump on board with the cheering and flag waving at this current juncture just feels very, very, inappropriate

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

I don’t care anymore. He isn’t good enough to carry this team and we need significant investment whether he stays or not. Don’t see us investing wisely (if at all) whether he stays or goes. So it just all feels a bit irrelevant at the moment -
Ultimately it is because, if it was Rudkin, then Top should have acted by now!
-
Maybe so, but doesn’t detract from the point I was making. MCF really isn’t the biggest issue at LCFC currently and shouldn’t be made a scapegoat
-
I hope people don’t jump on Marti. He has no chance with this squad We need signings before the transfer window shuts. Ideally 4 or 5, but 2 or 3 would be a start. We can’t measure him until that happens. If it doesn’t then the anger must be directed to those above him.
-
No. It’s self protection
-
It’s how far this squad has sunk that I feel he has to start with Daka up front. Daka is a rancid player, but Ayew isn’t a striker. There are similar decisions across the team. Winks has to start as he is our only midfielder. We have a choice between Faes, Vestergaard or Okoli. It’s James Justin or Luke Thomas. Even our better players are vastly overrated. Bilal can go missing and Fatawu is incredibly hit and miss. It’s an absolute sh1t show that can only be sorted out with at least 4 or 5 signings. We either haven’t the ability or haven’t the intention to sign anyone. Without signings we may as well give up now as there is little chance of top six with this squad and certainly no chance of top two
-
A lot is forgivable when the alternatives are Skipp, Soumare and Choudhury. The real issue here is our lack of recruitment
-
The fact that anybody could put forward our “best team” with the likes of Faes and Thomas in defence, Choudhury and McAteer in midfield and Ayew as the number 9 is a clear demonstration of how far this club has fallen 🤮
-
He’s cr@p, but the big concern is that so is the rest of our midfield. The dilemma is that we need to sell before we buy, but Hamza might be worth keeping if we don’t buy anyone. One, decent signing in midfield, and this becomes a no brainer

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

I still like JJ, but I probably have to accept that my brain is still stuck in the place it was when he first came into the team. I’d happily have him in the side ahead of Thomas, Hamza or Coulibaly even now. If he’s in his last year it’s probably sensible to cash in. He’s not one of the players I’m desperate to leave though (Mr. Soumare). -
Who the bloody hell is this guy? Hmmm… ….. gggggeeeerrrrrriiiiiimmmmmiiiinnnnn!
-
I’m still running …… ☹️
-
-
Agreed. Unfortunately he doesn’t look like he wants to be with us
-
Not saying he can. To be clear I think Daka is a dreadful player. But Ayew doesn’t lead the line or press from the front. He has no numbers to suggest he’s a central striker. The proper answer is neither should play and we should get someone in
-
Well let me say in advance that I think he should start. That’s not because I think he’s any good, but because we haven’t signed anyone else. Ayew, for me, is not a number 9
-
Could we please sign a CM and striker before the season starts? If not these starting line ups will get progressively more depressing as the season continues.
-
The force is strong in this one
-
We’ve missed out on Richard Kone. Is that for a good reason or a bad one: Good: he’s not the quality we need and that’s why we were never strongly linked Bad: we’re PSR’d up to our eyeballs and aren’t actually going to sign anyone before the window closes

Most of the time hoping that British people will spell his name correctly -
So that’s two “positive ones” then
-
Don’t worry. I’m doing my best to try and forget last season as well.
