With the money we gave to Çağlar Söyüncü, we could have bought 2,947 Holstein dairy cows and milked 61,880 liters of milk a day. That would average 1.5 million euros per week, 45 million euros per month, and 540 million euros per year. That's 10 million euros. So what did we do? We bought Çağlar. And what did he do? He got injured. Miners work 8 hours a day and earn 30,000 euros a month. Çağlar Söyüncü missed 37 matches in 2 years due to injury and earns 10.8 million euros a month. That's 360 times what a miner earns a month. So, is the money they both receive legitimate?

I think there is always a danger of writing new managers off too early and also building them up prematurely. Not surprising given the fickle nature of football fans. I usually like to give managers a bit of time. I’m never at the front of the queue to demand their sacking but I’m also wary of getting excited too early. If someone had told me 2 years ago we’d be appointing Gary Rowett as manager I would have wondered where our club had gone. Even at the start of this season I would have seriously questioned our ambition. The new reality, however, is we are a poor, relegation threatened, Championship club with an unbalanced squad and no money. It doesn’t exactly make us an attractive proposition. Rowett’s a pragmatic choice amongst limited options. If Rowett keeps us up and gets some commitment and passion back into the team, it’s all we need right now. The short term brief is a simple one. But I think I’ll wait to see if he can actually win any games before I decide whether he’s the answer

Yes I know. He’d have to go some way to knock Coatsworth off the top
-
Maybe we should get Gary Taylor-Fletcher back
-
How long do we give him? Personally I might start the “Rowett Out” thread if he names Jordan Ayew as a lone striker in his first starting eleven

Sean Dyche is available -
Ok How are we going to contrive to f**k this up in the 2nd half - we all know it’s happening!!
-
He’s Divine

No. Just a red card so far

The point at which I get depressed is getting earlier and earlier. At the start of the season it was mid way through the second half Then it was at half time Then it was about 10 minutes into the game Then it was as soon as the team was announced Now it’s immediately after the previous game My expectations for each game have been reduced to zero

First Team Manager isn’t on there No wonder we haven’t filled the post yet. Rudkin has forgotten to put the ad out
-
Not convinced by Gerrard at all. I think I’d rather go for some up and coming manager from the lower leagues than a “name” like Gerrard. First job is to coach and motivate a team to achieve Championship survival - not build a team to strive towards European qualification in the Premier League. It’s horses for courses
-
That might be worth a shot. Surely law of averages suggests that they must be good at something
-
Perhaps we should just do something radical and not have a manager anymore Hey… we’ve been trailblazing in that regard already this season by not having a striker
-
We’ve got about as much chance of keeping a clean sheet as a Matron on the Dysentery Ward of Leicester Royal Infirmary
-
Any news when he is back? I’m beginning to think our season could depend on him. He was even contributing goals in the absence of us playing a recognised striker* *I refuse to recognise either Daka or Ayew as strikers who could contribute at Championship level

“Optimism on both sides”. Are they actually doing the groundwork on this or just looking at each other hopefully? -
I’ve not been this excited about a January deadline day signing since we bagged Ryan Bennett from Wolves.

Come on. He’d go on a galloping run with the ball once every 25 games and everyone would be convinced it was the start of the redemption curve Edit: in all seriousness I know what you mean. He’s one of only a few players where I could never work out a single thing he was good at. Not creative enough for a CAM No passing range of a CM No defensive qualities to be a CDM Not clever enough or disciplined enough to be a box to box CM Not a particularly good tackler or passer No real positional sense No great composure on the ball Just what is he good at? It’s still a mystery to me
