I don’t think you need worry about that
-
I reckon if it’s gets to fewer than 10 we’ll have a chance in this one
-
Yep. I’m just glad that DW doesn’t appear to be in the conversation anymore. JS is good, MH is very good, DI is poor at this level and DW shouldn’t be a professional goalkeeper

This is the same team that signed Jordan Ayew and Odsonne Edouard less than six months ago ….

I think the issue was our summer transfer window. The net effect was a squad no better than the one in the Championship and we p***ed most of the money up the wall on “has beens” or “never weres”. January is never a good time to do business, but you might have a slim chance if you’re topping up what was done in the summer window. We’re a financially hamstrung club trying to add the quality that might actually make a difference to our starting eleven, whilst undoing the mistakes of the previous window. It’s a big ask
-
The question is whether he’d be more use on crutches ….. than Jordan Ayew

Nah.. it’s bollox. It’s from the Phillip Schofield school of distraction. If you want to illicit sympathy in this area then come out before the event and then you deserve all the support going. If you do it after you’ve been literally or metaphorically “caught with you pants down” then don’t be surprised if everyone is a bit cynical about your motives

No, that was Peter Taylor!
-
That’s still no excuse! I was in that position many times in my youth, but still managed to bag whatever munter was available
-
Well I guess that might appease some of us
-
“What do we need in January?” A lot more than we’ve ****ing got so far!!!
-
This is key. We really need a couple of signings that would make a difference to the starting line up (not just squad players) to have a chance of staying up. I can’t see our ultimate destiny changing unless this happens

He’s a poor signing on the length of contract he’s on and a very average player. We should have done better in the transfer market, but we didn’t. It’s a statement of our poor recruitment that he’s the best we’ve got, but that’s probably where we’re at. Fatawu injured, Mavididi poor and Ayew ….. is just Ayew. Also no sign on any new players. Nice to see him making a contribution and should keep his place for the next game -
Yep. I fear our squad won’t have enough over the season. This win gives us hope, but we’re desperate for one or two additions who would actually make a difference.
-
Sadly. We do!
-
Everton 7 points clear of relegation zone and, with an easy win in their next fixture, they’ll be close to safety

Can someone tell me. Are Wolves down to 10?

I’ve not exactly defended Rudkin previously, but just been unsure of whether it’s him, or somebody else, who is ultimately responsible for our demise. I’ve finally lost patience after the summer transfer window that will effectively see us relegated this season. We won the Premier League and FA Cup in recent history. We can still point to that, but every institution or business knows that you have to evolve, change, move with the times or die. LCFC have now clearly been left behind by other, better run, clubs. We’ve seen clubs like Brighton, Brentford, Forest and Fulham surpass us - who were all nowhere just a few years ago. We need evolution and change at executive level. If Top doesn’t know what to change then he should consider his own position as the figurehead of the club. We need a clear statement of a change of direction and a person or people need to go. If not Rudkin then who?

January is never a good time to do business and, if you can, the value is usually poor. The real root cause of our season has been the absolutely abhorrent summer transfer window. We p***ed all our available funds up the wall on players who were never likely to make the difference required at this level. We would actually have done better sticking with what we’d got and saving funds for this window. For that summer window alone we should see heads roll. Not that we will and any manager we bring in is now operating with their hands tied behind their back
-
At least we might have Cover for any injuries ….

Just seen this on the BBC website. Nice to see that they’ve already taken a bow to the inevitable…..

Turquoise would have been a bold choice that just might have worked with the right accessories. This is where the analogy falls down for me -
The logic of the decision making is spot on. Speculating whether we will actual find and purchase someone better before transfer deadline day is currently a fertile ground for our cynicism
