You and the commentary team putting the mockers on there. Nasty short ball to get just after you get your 50, though. -

Oh, Emilio. You owe Duckett a pint and the game a big score after that one. -

Well, that's about 100 more runs than they should have got. Given it's only four sessions into the match, time may not be as big a factor as I thought, especially since you'd assume England will also be looking to score quickly. -

Going to either have to get on with it or only bat once, then. -
Exactly. As well as them getting larger in terms of regularity and ferocity year on year.

Yeah, from that angle and after another replay or two it's more conclusive. Good effort by Rew, though. could do with getting at least one or two more before the close. -

Hmmmm...definite case of the benefit of the doubt going to the batter there. That looked clean enough to me. -

Good showing from the bowlers here. -
Think it depends on what definition of "gooner" is being used.

Little bit unusual, it's a green pitch but not actually offering much for the bowlers, they're having to be disciplined in their line and length. -
I think a lot of people have put flags out recently in spite of any spin. My own thoughts is it's quite a bit because of simple apathy towards this particular tournament based on how corrupt both FIFA and the hosts have been shown to be. (That might not be much different to the past couple of iterations of the WC, but it's certainly more public this time.)

There's quite a few variations on that particular tune I've seen so far, most of which are just pure obscenity. Superb.

Win the toss and bowl please. -
That's my thinking too. Ref didn't have the cojones to deal with the fallout of sending him off.

Very changed England XI then. -
The SpaceX bubble continues to grow. Still, I guess what it does is make the conditions very clear. Either it fulfills its deadlines and gets humanity to the Moon and beyond in short order, or it doesn't and everyone involved loses practically everything. No middle ground.
-
No, and neither is anywhere else. That is the whole point of such weapons. Their entire value lies in their deterrent. The moment one is actually used and is attributable, then it becomes worthless, because that is inevitably the first move in a game that is very short, very brutal and ends with everyone losing.

The MoD appear to believe it an isolated incident, but yes, the timing is not great at all.
-
Would certainly be a pay rise compared to my current circumstances.
-
Then clearly I need to be clearer, and the tip is appreciated. Carns is a good politician who speaks sense in a lot of ways. He underestimates natural threats compared to human ones (usual for a MoD post). This could well become a bigger problem than the ones he says are big problems. Think that's about it. It certainly appears that way.
-
Or when you've cleared away that strawman misanthrope before anyone lights a match, perhaps our elected officials might be persuaded to look at all present threats to human life and act accordingly, rather than inordinately (key word there) prioritising directly human-based ones (or even looking at those that will make the human-based ones much more likely). That way, hopefully far fewer people - and life in general - have to perish.
-
Yes, and that cuts both ways. The natural world is better at killing than we are (mostly).

Just unfortunate that he apparently doesn't see that while security apparently supercedes environmental welfare on energy policy, disregarding the latter will cause critical resource shortages that will directly affect the former anyway.
