  1. Unfortunately the conditions that lead to flying too close to the FFP Sun haven't changed. Tottenham have tripled their revenues without dramatically changing their wage to revenue percentage. Leicester will increase their wage to revenue percentage again without any hope of dramatically boosting revenue since the last PL season. Either FFP becomes very 'dynamic' and therefore meaningless or causes several lawsuits from mid-tier prem teams. There are a lot of wealthy egos out there quite happy to bleed the Premier League legal department dry. The premier league won't allow brand PL to be tainted like Series A did for example. So fully expect FFP to become diluted in the next few seasons.
  2. Good point that. I'm fairly sure theres an element of 'tiktokification' going on here with some football fans who perhaps don't or haven't watched many 'normal' football games. They've been brought up on a diet of rapid super-highlights from Messi, unfortunately daka falling over ain't going to cut it. So when confronted with reality - a 90 minute game in which 30 minutes is spent collecting the ball from the sidelines - and the rest of it spent trying to prevent the ball from going out, then of course the game will look boring.
  3. There's quite a few comments suggesting we took our foot off the gas and allowed Swansea back in due to a less than appealing tactical style. I think that's very disrespectful to Swansea. They got back into the game due to some tactical changes and just engaging more after the early goal, meaning we had to counter differently. The result was a bit of stalemate as we tried to search out a way through their setup. It perhaps didn't help Praet is as rusty as he is. Possession football requires confidence and fitness. He is short on both. It's a really key position in Enzo's setup and if the player isn't fully firing the rest of the team feels it. It's why Daka can get away with a mixed performance but someone like Winks or Dewsbury Hall just can't. There's a lot to be said about our fanbase in general. We aren't known for being a cultured or passionate lot so the current style really brings to the fore all the worst traits. The away support is fab and always has been of course but it's biased by nature. Home support has always been passive, perhaps more reflective of your average Leicesterian's persona of being quite self deprecating and so down to earth we're practically dead. A quick look on Facebook and the mercury and someone would think every person who lives in Leicester despises the city. Perhaps with recent success that attitude of self-hate has taken over the terraces 😬
  4. Sod the xg, just a tiny bit of PASHUNN to make going to work tomorrow a little bearable would be really welcome.
  5. Saw it the other way. It was the groans that forced a more positive pass because until then playing it safe and recycling seem to their only job according to some players.
  6. I've become a victim of this. I used to have a season ticket a long long time time ago. Then moved away for work reasons like many others. Only able to go to away games but looking at my points tally you'd think I'd seen Leicester play a handful of times in 30 odd years. I can still get single home tickets but struggled with away tickets as they quickly sell out. I can't take my family unless they too become members so it's very much a lone enterprise still even though I'd like to take them on occasion. It's actually made the women's team matches more attractive so perhaps there's an outlet now for family match day experiences.
  7. Really feel for Alves and Braybrooke. Hope that Voice tw*t actually grows up. I see he was included in an England squad recently. He's young but it was such a malicious callous act. Outside of the football field there'd be all sort of 'interventions' for a young man exhibiting that sort of behaviour. He's instead been rewarded with a cap?!
  8. Perhaps being a bit pre-emptive here but a nagging thought nevertheless as May will be here very soon. After watching Arsenal last night and a few Burnley games, Pep's disciples have faltered a little. Teams have definitely sussed out Burnley's weaknesses, and Arsenal's lack of creativity has been exposed twice in 2 games. The Premier League is unforgiving as we discovered last year. We've played very well so far - there have been slip ups of course - but generally many shortcomings are just not exposed at the second tier. If we did manage to get promoted, what would need to change in our current patterns of play and which positions would 'require strategic tactical improvement'?
  9. Finally, the ground will be big enough to host your average asian wedding. Quids in!
  10. GET THE THRACIAN OUT @Thracian
  11. In all seriousness. I think this is a good timely wake up call. I can't see us losing at all after this perhaps at Leeds/Ipswich away. The way the team still tried to score (and came close) at the end suggests the hunger and discipline is far beyond last season. The only other 'good' team we haven't played yet is Ipswich - and after tonight's humbling I'm confident we'll win.
  12. Is that you Brendan?
  13. Best side to play us since Sunderland. On another day those post/bar/header went in. Not today. Thought Hamza was awesome and shame he wasn't on earlier. Cassadei finding life difficult at Leicester it seems. Tried hard but outmuscled by a very aggressive Bielsa-esque Leeds.
  14. Come on @Union FS prove @MS0204 wrong!
  15. Surprised we don't have a Cornershop 'Brimful of Asha' inspired chant, it's such a great tune There's dancing behind movie scenes Behind the movie scenes, RANIERI (or JAMIE VARDY!) He's the one that keeps the dream alive From the morning, past the evening To the end of the light Brimful of Leicester on the 45 Well, it's a brimful of Leicester on the 45 Brimful of Leicester on the 45 Well, it's a brimful of Leicester on the 45
  16. Was impressed with how rapid he is. Ridiculous speed. And great close control.
  17. KDH, Mcateer, Stolarycz, Choudhury. Brilliant future ahead. πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
  18. The guy is living my dream. Go on son! Some people would prefer spending Β£15m on a poorer version of Hamza because of youtube clips from an easier league. The guy is still learning and clearly rated. He's a leader too. He's the kind of player you want when your backs against the wall and you need to grind out a result. He knows his weaknesses but his strengths aren't easy to find. Worth it.
  19. Milestone game. Local lad. Mixed heritage. Captain. Committed. So proud to be Leicester fan last night.
