He doesn't work here. He's an actual presenter.

DoF/Sporting Directors are the way forward. They take a lot of the pressure off the manager/coach, whilst offering more long term thinking and stability compared to the manager. The problem is that our one is sh*t.

That UI though.

Les Reed is brilliant. He knows how a club should be run. Only beginning the search for a manager once you've sacked the current manager is a terrible way to run a business. It's like selling your car and then having to walk to all the show rooms to look for a replacement.

You aren't meant to hear what they are saying.

Dynamics is a nice graphical method of displaying what was pretty much going on under the hood anyway. Do not assume it’ll just mean more unhappy players.

If it’s Adidas, bet it looks like this:

Any good tutorials on how to defend? Players turn me so easily in and around the box. I've tried using jockeying and also R1 to get a teammate to close down, but it hasn't made a difference.

They always play their reserve goalkeeper which has been a bug for years. Can't believe they haven't fixed it yet.

I think it’ll be cheaper for you to just pre order FM18.

This thread is already brilliant.

Is Shakespeare the right man for the job?
Ricey replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
Iborra isn't fit enough yet to start. He was dead on his feet for the last 20 minutes last Tuesday. -

For me we played well against Arsenal, Brighton (we won the game comfortably, if that isn't playing well I don't know what is), Chelsea and Liverpool. We haven't been at our best and there were periods of poorness in all four, but I'd consider them good performances. Performance levels and tactics, on another day, could have won us those games. We had spells in all of four of playing at our counter attacking best and we could have easily come away with points against three of last seasons top 6. I think the tactics and mentality for the most part have been right from CS. Man United on the face of it seemed like a negative performance, but only because we couldn't string the passes together during counter attacks. The intention was right, the execution on that day was off. I won't judge him too harshly when he's having to deal with central midfielders that are Championship quality, not yet fit/adapted or unexpectedly horribly off form. -

I hear this "he isn't the right man for the job" a lot but it's rarely followed up with substance or reasoning. On paper he is very much the right man for the job. 4 points out of 18 isn't great, but we've played well in 4/5 of those games and we all know the issues he'd had with players being injured, unavailable or sold. Play those matches again with identical performance levels and I'm confident we come away with more than 4 points. Unfortunately, after a season of only losing three times, a lot of our fans can no longer deal with us losing matches and overreact, desperately searching for a scapegoat. The recently promoted assistant manager is an easy target. -

How easily people forget quite how bad we were last season. For the 40 minutes on Saturday we were not an embarrassment. Ok, perhaps a bit open, but with the midfield options we have at the minute you can see why. We were creating chances, working hard and unsettling their defence. It was a typical performance from us that on another day could have seen us go into the break ahead. -
Is Slimani of premier league quality

Slimani wants to start. The only way he is going to do that is as a support striker. -

Great goal, but I thought he was very very poor last night. First touch was woeful and he refused to jump for any headers. With Ulloa doing the same, the ball was just coming straight back at us. He is a threat in the box (and outside of it, uncharacteristically last night) but he isn't very quick, his first touch is poor, he doesn't win many headers from direct balls and often wastes chances that present themselves with his feet. He is also a moaner on the pitch, which I don't see many other of our players do. He is a better version of Ulloa, but I just don't think he suits us. We need someone that can link up play and he most certainly isn't that man. -

Judge him when he has the tools as his disposal. When he signed Iborra he spoke about it giving us an option to play in different ways. This likely meant three in the middle, which would have no doubt been utilised a lot so far this season. Instead Iborra has been injured, not to mention Iheanacho and Silva being unavailable. I don't think he did much wrong yesterday to be honest. I think the issues we have run deeper than just the manager. -

Riyad Mahrez - The great Artist
Ricey replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought he looked fired up yesterday and worked very hard. It's such an obvious stick to beat him with nowadays. -
As feared, he doesn't have the mobility or dominance to be good enough in that role. He shys away from the ball too much, in contrast to DD who was always moving into space ready to receive it. As part of a midfield three I think he could be excellent, but at this moment in time we need someone with a more energy and who is more creative.

Plaudits for our Atmosphere, let's keep it up
Ricey replied to Weller in Tights's topic in Leicester City Forum
Atmosphere was dire today. When we got a goal back it was better for about 5 minutes and then back to being flat. Anyone would think we were 4-0 down and not chasing an equaliser against the Champions. The whole club feels like it's accepted mid table mediocrity. -

No I mean two-way glass. "A one-way mirror, also called two-way mirror[1] (or two-way glass)". From Wikipedia. -

It's a god awful corporate hospitality that Man City now have where you can see the players in the tunnel via two-way glass whilst you wine and dine. -

It could be the West Stand and East Stand? The stadium could do with more corporate hospitality and more boxes. It's relatively small compared to some clubs. Please no 'tunnel club' though.
