at 22, Kone has a the potential for a much higher ceiling than Akpom who is 29 and arguably a top end Championship striker at the very best. Kone could be scoring goals regularly in the Premier League in a couple of years and valued a lot higher than the relatively small fee of £5m that gets him

I believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the manager at Besiktas

Fatawu going to set the division on fire this season. Great to see he’s not lost any confidence -

Don’t shoot me, but out of all the youngsters coming through, to me he looks the least ready for first team - physically not there yet. Needs another season in the 21s- 940 replies

Maybe not at close as we’re being led to believe…unless Justin is injured but we were informed that only Ricardo was an injury doubt -

No Justin - he must be close to leaving surely -
I’m convinced that with only a year left on his contract someone from abroad will take a punt on Daka in this window.
-
I’m not even convinced Skipp is top half of Champ quality
-
I bet he’s on no more than £3k-£5k p/w at Wycombe. You could easily offer him below £15k p/w with an increase clause if we are promoted. Knowing our Rudders he’s probably offering him £40k p/w

He reminds me a bit of Jason Roberts back in the day when he was coming through at Bristol Rovers

this guy does a lot of in-depth scouting of young prospects and thinks Kone is the real deal

all roads point to Swansea and us being used as a pawn to get a deal with them closed. I don't think we're in a position to be bidding until we get more of the dead wood out the door. Good that things seem to be happening now tho
-
yep, no better than that pair. Can't wait to see Monga, Mav and Abdul running at him this season
-
All started to go wrong for him when he got injured in pre-season when Enzo joined - never really recovered from that. Good move for all parties
-
won't be him then!
-
Has Rudkin finally topped up his credit and picking up his phone? Feels like rumours are coming in thick and fast now
-
JJ been a good servant but we've seen the best of him. If he moves on then good luck to the lad.
-
get him gone by the weekend. The fee and saving of wages will be very welcomed plus we have plenty of cover in this area
-
yes, I've been impressed with him from the bits I've seen of pre-season. I think he's left-footed too which offers good balance. Pre-season to actual competitive games is a big step-up though but really hope the lad can take any opportunities
-
He's based up in the NW too so this would be a much shorter commute
-
oh you can just imagine how much air-time he would get on that documentary...ticks all the boxes for the gob-shite

Our current central midfield is awful. It’s not athletic, it lacks pace, it lacks height, it lacks technical skills - this is our biggest problem area IMO (even over strikers). if we can somehow keep him I’d be playing BEK slightly deeper and get him on the ball in the middle of the park - that is unless we manage to clear out the likes of N’didi, Winks and Soumare and can re-invest
