The wages of the players whose contracts are expiring equate to around £19m per season. That's more that the wage budget of a lot of championship clubs. If we can offload Faes, Vestergaard and Kristiansen in Jan, then that's another £7m off the wage bill. So I agree, hopefully in a better position in the summer to actually go out and get some players with potential

A kit sponsor at £2.5m for a season wouldn't cover half of Harry Winks wages for the same season. We need to clear the decks of the dross high earners we currently have before any kind of rebuild starts. Hopefully a few go this month

He never tracks back and if he does its half hearted. The odd time he is in position people glide past him It's any easy weakness to exploit in our team. I've enjoyed watching Ricky P in his pomp. Injuries have curtailed his career. He's on a high wage and his knees are fooked. Sadly he needs to go as we need these types of players off the books to get out of this PSR mess

I think Celtic this season sort of prove a point in the difference between a coach and a man manager. Rodgers (whatever people think) is a decent coach, but needs a complete buy in to him from the players. Once he hits a losing streak he hasn't got the ability to get his players remotivated to his systems again. Martin comes in, starts making people feel great again, know how to push the right buttons on certain players and bang they are back at the races. Nancy comes back in with his fancy tactics board and they are back again in the shit again. I see Marti as a coach not a man manager. All the top managers know how to get into the players minds. Pep, klopp, fergie, mourinho all know how to make players tick - whether it's a fear factor, mutual respect or massaging their players egos
