  1. My opinion. Fk him, I don't want anyone playing for my club that doesn't want to be here, and is simply using us a stepping stone. Even though I reckon JV is past his best, his loyalty to Leicester is to be applauded. Fofana should take a look at Maguire, and realise that the grass isn't always greener (especially in the current drought) . Cheers Wes, thanks for a few laughs, and wasting last season in the physio room. Hope he signs for Chelsea and gets immediately loaned out to Cheltenham or Bochum - now there's an idea!
  2. Let's be honest, if I came out of retirement the BBC gossip page would headline "United interested in steveherbe". Joke of a club, and a joke website.
  3. No mate, according to the Ticket Office, Brentford was the LAST game they would be issuing paper tickets for. Thanks for your input though.
  4. 90% sure this is waht was suggested. Hence we need to raise objections now.
  5. Some of you may be aware that I sent an email to the club last week regarding the use of Mobile tickets. The email is on page 1 of the Mobile Season Ticket Download thread if you want to read it. I was subsequently invited to meet Jim Donnelly, the SLO, on Sunday prior to the Brentford game. The meeting didn’t go as I had hoped, in that Jim wasn’t interested in discussing the decision, nor the contents of my email. He simply took my phone, messed about with it for a minute, then told me that Mobile tickets wouldn’t work on my phone. He then asked for my supporter number, and told me he would arrange to have a note put on my account allowing me to have paper tickets as required for the rest of the season. We also briefly talked about having 2 tickets on one phone, an idea that he agreed wouldn’t work in practice if me and my son wanted to get into the ground at different times – as we often do. He further intimated that next season the only way to get tickets would be on a mobile. Obviously, this works for me for this season, but is not a solution for any of you in the same position. I’d therefore suggest, if you cant – or don’t want to – use mobile tickets this year, you should send an email to [email protected] containing your supporter number, and ask them to put a note on your account allowing paper tickets to be issued. It would also be helpful if you could post a reply, or PM me, if you do so. This would allow me to gauge the size of the issue going forward. Finally, if you don’t agree with this, please don’t post replies about old dinosaurs not embracing new technology. I’m not here for an argument, just looking to help fellow fans.
  6. Yes, met with Jim, waste of time. He looked at my phone, said Mobile ticket wouldn't work on it, and has put a note on my membership to say I can have paper tickets for this season. Full report will be on here tomorrow, may start a new thread so it gets seen properly. Thanks for the interest.
  7. Danny Ward was excellent, a keeper who can catch a cross, who would have thought it? As for Vardy - cheers mate, you are a legend, but your time is up. Waste of a shirt IMHO.
  8. Never bother with MOTD these days, can't stand the big six bias. Only watch one team in the PL now, and I'll be there tomorrow to see them live. Much prefer watching the EFL highlights, real teams with real fans. Have to record it though so I can skip the 'expert' analysis.
  9. Points noted mate, and will be raised. Tom got the same answer regarding having my ticket on his phone. We often don't go in together, so that won't work. Will report back on what they say.
  10. I've had a response, and am having a meeting with the club before the game Sunday. Will update with the outcome.
  11. Just sent this to [email protected] Be intersting to see how they reply. I've just spoken to the Ticket Office, who informed me that after the Brentford home game, they will only be issuing Mobile tickets, ie no print at home or posted tickets. This is totally unacceptable, and is discriminatory towards older supporters. My old mobile phone will not - as far as I am aware - support Mobile tickets. Many older supporters will be in the same position as me. I am 70 years old, and have a mobile purely so that i can contact people by voice. I do not want an 'app' for every eventuality. Can you confirm that future home game tickets will only be available to people with a modern phone? And if so, how do you propose those without gain access to the ground? I've been attending Leicester games for 65 years, but now feel I'm being excluded - maybe thats what the club wants? If I had known this was the clubs policy going forward, I wouldnt have bothered renewing my membership - but again, maybe the club dont want older fans in their new shiny ground? If so, I hope there are enough tech-savvy youngsters around to make up for those of us that simply want to buy a paper ticket and go to a game I would urge the club to reconsider this action. Some of us dont want dozens of 'apps' telling us when to eat, when to drink, what our blood pressure is etc etc. And how will you deal with 'customers' that arrive at the ground with a flat battery on their phones? This whole idea - whilst appearing 'green' - is a total shambles. How 'green' is it for me to do a 280 mile round trip to the KP, only to be told "No app, no entry" Come on Leicester, we are better than this. I look forward to your reply.
  12. Just spoke to the TO. After the Brentford game, they will NOT be issuing any tickets other than Mobile. No print at home, and no physical ticket posted! So if your phone - assuming you have one - doesn't support mobile tickets, you ain't going to any more games. Bloody madness, wish I'd known that before I renewed my membership, wouldn't have bothered. As per, Premiership club, Conference league ticket office.
  13. 2-0 at the minute to the warm-up cones.
  14. Great interview lads, came over really well. Didn't recognise you all sober, you're quite intelligent really. 😁 Top work chaps, a credit to the group.
  15. It would bean insult to all ex Barwell players - me included - to see this donkey at Kirkby Road.
  16. Ridiculous pricing. For me and @Sol thewall Bamba to attend a home match, with tickets, fuel, food and a couple of beers, it will cost me around £200. For a day out watching average football? I think not. Would almost be acceptable if we could defend corners - or not.
  17. Great news, pinning my hopes on Iversen as the future.
  18. Were you not a fan in 15/16? We won the PL with 0 possession.
  19. Shall we go mate, half an hour to kick off!!
  20. WTF is Tielemans doing in the team. It's a football match, not a bloody advert for his sale. Bin him off now, doesn't want to be here so do one.
  21. Sorry, shouldnt have replied like that.
  22. If you want to see proper support, look on YouTube and see what our friends at Bochum produced away at Dortmund over the weekend. A 25 minute video of their fans in action. Support like it should be. No wonder so many of our lads enjoy going over there. If we could manage 5 minutes of that just once, I'd be happy. Well done Bochum lads.
  23. I believe Boots do hearing tests - I'd suggest making an appointment.
  24. Yeah, as an old codger I have to agree. Was fortunate to be at both games. Man City as a 'lad', and Seville as a UFS elder statesman!
