  1. This is the problem with everyone's perception of who a good manager is (mine included). They're all judged on their last job or rather their failures and then they're considered rubbish. Basically every manager has failed somewhere. And so many have had success but it's all relative. How many managers actually get the time they need or a chance at a club where they're set up for success? On Farke, he'd be so uninspiring but you can't argue that he's not a good manager with 3 promotions on his cv
  2. It makes no sense anyway. You'd just stick him on Gardening leave if it was such an issue for the current period.
  3. At this stage, it's as obvious as can be (since there's no transparency). Been saying for months that people need to be targeting Top not Rudkin (who is probably still crap)
  4. Objectively actually been a successful manager unlike RVN. Going to sound like a ****, but whilst I can understand not being keen on Dyche, if you would actually rather keep RVN over Dyche, I'm afraid your opinion is utterly irrelevant.
  5. I hope this is tongue in cheek, otherwise nothing could sum up better how out of touch some of our fans are.
  6. Course we shouldn't and I haven't said anything to disagree with that? But it doesn't change the fact that Vardy, like every single other player who's played a fair amount this season, have to take a big portion of the blame for such awful performances
  7. Yep. So does that mean he's only half decent? In which case that's not good enough for what we needed is it? He's been one of our better players for sure, but still nowhere near good enough this season, like all of them. The logic seems to be that because the alternative wasn't better, he can't be criticised? So that applies for 10 others as well then
  8. Thanks, very nice of you to say so. So you think he's done a good job as captain this season do you? How has his leadership been good? RVN is useless but it's still on the players to go out and perform at the end of the day and he, like everyone else, hasn't done. He's going to be captain of the worst top flight team in this club's history after being vice captain of the most expensive team ever to be relegated. Numerous times it's come out that he has gone behind a manager's back. Hardly the signs of great leadership qualities are they? You'll notice that I said the service has given him little chance to score, or just choose to ignore that part? As for being overplayed, that doesn't excuse his performances does it? With all the sports science, he'd not have been made available for selection, of if he really was struggling, he should have put his hand up and asked for sit out a game. Weird idea that he's been playing against his will. We've got an extra 8 games next year so being a year older how is he magically fit enough to do that. He's not going to want to play second fiddle to a championship striker next year is he? As I said in my reply to others above, you, and many others are so emotional about him that there can be no discussion about him. I love him just as much as you and he's our greatest ever player and nothing will change that but doesn't change the fact he's been a key part of 2 utterly embarrassing relegations.
  9. Somebody on here made a great post a while back in regards to Vardy, in that as long as he's here, he's always going to be the main man, regardless if he's still up that role. It's why it's better for us if he moves on. Don't think anyone will say that he has been managed well and I'm certainly not expecting him to score 20+ goals in this team, and in fact think his overall return is probably better than than you can expect based on the performances of the team. That's not my issue. My problem is that there have been many games where his effort level has been noticeably lower. West Ham away there was a shocking bit where he was just pointing at everyone else to close down whilst he made no effort to do anything when the ball came near him (ironically the one time he did actually run we created a chance). Faes levels of lack of accountability. So he absolutely has not lead by example this calendar year, and he's hardly your typical captain otherwise. 2 relegations where he's been one of the team captains now so he clearly is a massive part of the issue. It's a slightly pointless topic to discuss anyway as people cannot remove the emotion when talking about him (understandably).
  10. Sorry but no matter his status, his performances under Ruud have been awful. Little service and bad performances around him of course give him little chance to do much, but there's been far too many games where he's just stood there pointing at other people to do stuff whilst jogging around. Hasn't been able to lead from the front and certainly hasn't shown any other leadership qualities to justify being captain. Absolute legend and these relegations don't tarnish that, but he has been one of the biggest problems this year and as impassioned as that message may be, it also sounds a bit like he's blaming others. A sad day when he goes but it's absolutely essential that he does. Both from a footballing perspective but also because it severs ties with what was the old regime
  11. I honestly don't get these people. Do they think that a) we have any control over it as fans, b) that they weren't the right decisions, and c) that a team should just accept they are going to be relegated. So odd
  12. Got a picture/video of this? Seeing lots of people post this but all I saw was Top laughing and Rudkin looking pretty moody as per
  13. Becoming? Have you just woken up from a 2 year coma?
  14. From today? Must have missed this as all I saw was Top laughing and Rudkin looking stone faced as per usual. He's almost certainly useless, but people need to move on from Rudkin and direct it all at Top as he is 100% at fault. Whether that's his abysmal decision making directly or the people he has chosen to employ.
  15. Probs still be here. Never disliked one of our players as much as this.
  16. You should never defend players for downing tools but in the case of guys like Okoli, Skipp, Buonanotte, Daka etc it's hard to imagine why they would ever bother to perform if the same clowns (and underperformer in Vards case), continue to be be picked, so certainly wouldn't blame them.
  17. I refuse to believe that as somebody who's been on here 10+ years, you actually think that's a valid statement? It's the complete opposite; they get held to a much higher standard by many. Absolutely shocking fanbase for supporting youngsters.
  18. Rubbish. Should be getting 270 over a season if he's got a chance of making it
  19. What a strange comparison because he has one thing JV doesn't; pace. That completely changes the type of defender he can be. The physicality was the the thing that needed working on from what I saw last season, but it's not just about bulking up. He's barely played any men's football and at his size, he's probably been used to dominating attackers, so it's as much about learning to using his size against stronger and smarter attackers. Sample size this season isn't much bigger than what we saw and from what I saw last year, potential is almost limitless for him. Will just be that aforementioned physicality and his reading of the game that determines how far he can go.
  20. Such a shame what's happened to the women's game. Was a breath of fresh air at first (WSL) but has become even worse than the men's in terms of the have's vs the have nots. The fact that the team sitting in 5th place in the table is there with a win percentage of 30% is absolutely abysmal for the competitiveness of the league. The teams down there can scrap against each other but have no chance against the bigger teams.
  21. For all the data out there, I can never understand how they get height so wrong. Barnes was 5ft 8 everywhere until he was 25 despite blatantly being much taller. Iheanacho is probably still down as 6ft 1 and is absolutely not that tall (look at him next to somebody who is that height and he's clearly smaller).
  22. Far from my favourite but the way he has turned his public perception around is an absolute masterclass. And he's actually very genuine the majority of the time. The way he digs out Rory is a bit odd but they've asked that question because they know they won't have spoken and they know that he'll bite on that. The love lost over LIV is probably at its height between these 2. Not to mention he's a pretty fiery guy and has had a shocker on a Sunday of a major, so was likely to be pissed off. Still, he said he wanted cry for Rory on 13 so not quite the villain you think!
  23. Incredible. Has carried the game, or at least the PGA tour on his back and then made a total pariah so never been a more deserving winner
  24. Think that makes it even worse. Love Rosey but Rory needs to get this done.
