Basis of the team looks great but Wilf and Vards need to go ASAP.
-
Interestingly, the noises I'd heard from some Genk fans were that he was a Modric type of player rather than a proper 10/goalscoring threat. I think they were talking about him getting loads of 'pre-assists' rather than the goal contributions. Wonder whether we might see him play a little deeper in the future, though his some of his final third play has definitely improved. Got a really good turn of pace now.

First one was blatant but that is awful. O Riley never trying to go for the ball
-
It's a pen so why did it take him so long to review it
-
Preferrable to those 2 for sure but he won't improve much. The speed of the game (not his pace), is way too much for him at the moment, as in many divisions above his level. Never seen a player take so long to get the ball under control. Nice lad but just don't see it. Watch him score today

Problem is people said that about Thomas compared to Chilwell (and you've highlighted Thomas' biggest issue in terms of physicality). And people talked the same way about Chilwell when he was 16/17. Hard to gauge just how amazing a player is until they're in the first team.
-
Awful. Let him rot in the reserves for the next 3 years
-
Don't be so nice to him
-
He's as big a part of the problem as anyone unfortunately. An abysmal leader
-
Whilst he's 10 yards deeper than everyone else as well
-
Hahaha

How would that have made any difference to that goal? Are people so blinded by there dislike for Justin that they blame him for everything? He's left with 2 players to defend on his own so little he can do, yet that should mean you cover the space in the box, but we can't even do that.
-
Don't be silly. Everything is his fault.
-
Amazing that Justin can be left 1 on 2 and yet we still leave space in the middle for somebody to tap in

Not even laughing as a coping mechanism, just genuinely find it funny

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official

He's always been hyped up which is why I'm surprised there's always less talk about him. When he did play last year, you could just see that he oozed class which made the decision to spend money on Okoli absolutely bizarre. He just needs to get a bit stronger and then develop the experience of playing against certain types of forwards. -
I told you to stop doing that

Something to cheer everyone up (April 1st)

See, it's not fair to say that the club gets everything wrong. Their comedic timing is on point. -
Not sure! Because at 16, you still can't sign a pro contract, so unless that means that under 16 you can move wherever but when you get to 16 you can only sign pro terms with another club on the date you're eligible for a pro contract?

It's my biggest gripe. Not necessarily the number of players making the grade but we are woeful when it comes to giving lads 5/10 games to see if they have something about them. Wouldn't be so bad if we were really proactive with getting loans sorted, but we're shocking at that as well. People will point to the likes of Barnes, Chilwell, KDH, Thomas and Choudhury as evidence we do something right, but those are basically the only guys who have ever been given a chance to play (and most after loan spells). Imagine how many more you might have if you actually took the chance?
-
I read that as June 2026. Not a very well worded article. And would be weird that he then can't talk to other clubs for over a year
-
You correctly call them inept so by the same token, do you think they'd have the competence to understand anything with the slightest bit of nuance? KP out is a direct challenge and one they need to hear. Lots of the project reset stuff (incorrectly) focused on Rudkin which is easy for Top to palm off as stupid football fans not knowing what they're talking about. And the worst bit about that, is that he could be absolutely right since we have no idea what Rudkin actually does or who makes the day to day decisions. But what we do know is that Top is ultimately responsible for everything and he's struggles with criticism so demanding KP leave will hurt him more than you think.

Literally went to donate and saw it was at 100% (so let us know if it drops back). I think that clearly shows there are plenty of people willing to put their money where their mouth is

His goal was absolutely quality. All about the balance and agility to dance through the defence.
