  1. Me too, but I'm just reinforcing the fact he was actually a very good defender as well which is why I regard him (his peak) so highly
  2. I like Hull but I just don't quite see it. Not like he's rapid either. Cricket's a funny game with averages as it can just click into place but I don't see him really becoming international class at the moment.
  3. Baring in mind their is a clown kit and a sausage roll kit in here, the fact that this is 10 times the abomination is a very impressive feat. But please delete it
  4. It's a fair point but unfortunately it's hard to present a case for Top or anyone else based on what's happened. What evidence we do have overwhelming shows he has made mistake after mistake. Ultimately those aren't relevant as the biggest factor is that we're in League 1 and I think most owners would have struggled to do that in the same timeframe if they'd tried to. The other thing is that anyone who is pro Top/KP have never made a good or credible argument as to why he should stay, apart from bringing up the PL win. There's a thread about the division in the fanbase so that has just fed the hate that anyone voting in will get (I mean the division in the fanbase/not the thread). The club is facing an existential crisis and those 'iners' just don't seem to understand it. And this is wild to think about, but the reality of the situation is that Rudkin is more likely to be competent that Top is based on the evidence (yes I did just type that). He's sitting at 100% out. I would say that your point about Glover is very reasonable, even if again, evidence suggests unlikely. From what little we get, it's easy to extrapolate that the culture is absolutely abysmal and very cliquey so very possible that and Head of Recruitment is there for lip service only.
  5. If even they don't understand the link, it unfortunately does show a lack of basic intelligence or rather insight/ability to join the dots. Do they think Top is going to then hire somebody amazing? Do they think he will hire somebody who has total control of it and can say no to him? It's absolutely bizarre that anybody thinks this. Top wants somebody 'competent' enough to run that side of the club without it exploding after day 1 but he doesn't care if the club is burning around him. Critically important that people move on from Rudkin now. He's not going anywhere and Top, with his hubris, takes the criticism targeted at Rudkin as evidence that we don't understand how the club is run and he knows much better than us.
  6. Of course it isn't the solution but it's what businesses do always. Seen it happen at multiple places friends and family work in the past year, and with these morons in charge, there's no way they grasp the situation we're in so when the cuts come, certainly won't be to the areas that make the most impact
  7. Cartwright has had a mixed spell and unlike Braybrooke who struggled there, he's never had the same hype or class that makes you think it's just a good learning experience rather than an indicator of ability. Think people are not aware just how much of a mixed bag Scottish football is. Will get some players that will be good PL players but plenty that couldn't cut it in L1 go there and do really well.
  8. Grim. A failing of different FA's/FIFA that he's still allowed to be involved in football
  9. I'd rather watch you do that than get Kevin Muscat. Absolute scum (from my childhood memories...)
  10. Feels silly criticising somebody for scoring but that was just pure luck. The reason I've repeatedly described it as the most pathetic season from any outfield player I've seen, is not just because of the low output. Whilst the be all and end all is obviously scoring goals to win matches, that can happen from anywhere on the pitch so the main thing you want from your wide players is to stretch teams and generally carry a threat. Earlier in the season he got loads of chances/openings and was incredibly wasteful (not through his own making), but the second half of the season, he's done almost literally nothing. Created next to nothing, barely beat his man and not even liked he's opened up space for others. Hopefully he's gone in the summer
  11. That wasn't the injury that did for him though
  12. Yep, he was. Was he mostly crap though? Been woeful this year, poor last year but otherwise he's been either ok, or was in his prime which was still 18 months before that injury. Had to disassociate the player he was with who he is now/the situation we're in so can't blame you/anyone for taking a more negative view
  13. That goal sums him up. Absolutely embarrassing finish
  14. Turned it on for Monga and Page. Immediately substituted
  15. What a thick bunch. That pass from Stolo to Page sums it up after we've just gifted a chance to them from trying to pass it out
  16. He wasn't an average defender. He was consistently in the top 5 when it came to tackles and interceptions in the PL (along with Ndidi). Even if that was because of bad positioning, which it wasn't, it still shows he was very good at defending. But as highly as I rate him, he's not a Legend
  17. Did he? Pretty sure Vardy was captain last year. And that's also the sad thing, Vardy was a dreadful captain too, Evans shocking before him. That leadership group probably worked with Kasper especially, and Wes because there was a blend of personalities. Once then went, it was probably too soft
  18. Not sure if it was your point or the original point, but there are plenty of times where the better players don't play for their national team for various reasons. We're seeing that with Tuchel now where almost certainly some big names will not play, or even make the squad. I do know that fans outside of England who did watch Ricardo before and after he joined us, absolutely raved about him, so it's definitely not a bias thing. And the fact he was always in the top 5 for tackles and interceptions would probably highlight how great he was defensively
  19. Again, slight difference in detail. We gave that to him after he came back. But yes, a silly deal in hindsight though I don't think you'd have imagined he'd had dropped off as much as he did
  20. Things to tend to read very differently if you ignore a few key words. But yeah, can't believe Barca, PSG or Juve didn't sign him when he did his ACL. What idiots.
  21. I'm quite lenient with the term world class as I'd view that as being somebody who can go into any team in the world and be a very good player, so he was definitely world class along with Mahrez, Kante, Vardy and possibly Kasper (keeper very hard to say as they get exposed more in a worse team and obviously he had his flaws). Feels like a lifetime ago now.
  22. Technically gifted, yes. But I'm just talking about the general level quality because obviously Mahrez is better technically than Kante. And Mahrez is a better Leicester City player than either of those because of the relative longevity. But my feeling is that if Ricardo went elsewhere at his peak and maintained that level (so ifs and buts), he'd go down as one of the greatest fullbacks in the modern game.
  23. Before anyone cries, yes Vardy is the GOAT and the best Leicester player of all time but when it comes to best players I've seen player for us, Ricardo at his peak is 2nd only to Kante for me. Injury robbed him but not so much us as he was almost certainly off to one of the giants. Never seen a fullback who was so brilliant defensively and going forward
  24. Ross Stewart would be an absolutely diabolical shout. The guy has missed 130 games over the past few years, is 30 in the summer and likely still wants a decent wedge to drop down to L1
  25. Well @ClaphamFox did add that bit from the accounts which I've not seen posted anywhere else, so actually makes this thread more useful than the majority of those related to our finances
