Listening to Starman by Bowie with my old man tonight. It is so, so sad how it ended with Youri. I'm an experienced supporter and the glee and excitement I felt watching him play was akin to Draper and Izzett. I just ****ing loved watching him and used to feel like a child watching their hero. I'm so heartsick to see how it all played out. He was ****ing dynamite for a bit. If it had ended twelve months earlier he'd have been one of the very best. You make a good point. I don't think that most managers would have viewed him as the solution to front with what we had in the tank. Either way - he didn't look like he'd be England's top scorer at that point in time. Time makes idiots of us all.

I don't think it was mismanagement. I think it was that he didn't have the requisite quality in his position to displace others but had the quality to start.

At some point in the near future I'm going to want to get a new PC together - Windows 11 has rendered mine redundant pretty much. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a gaming PC website. Didn't see a player thread so though I'd get one going. Very impressive debut. Thought he defended exceptionally well and was very vocal. Added a much needed bit of bite to the team. Hopefully he's one we can make permanent.
