...just by the eye test, he was on, or at least level!!! You could say that he sought to gain an unfair advantage by deliberately running into an offside position. When the ball was played to KDH he was ahead of the play but not classified as "active" as the ball was clearly passed to another teammate and he made no attempt to play the ball at the time. Once KDH has manoeuvred the ball and picked him out, you can see him (McAteer) trying to keep himself behind KDH. I do not think he was too sure he was onside, he did take a look at the flag, before celebrating.

...he really is mixed up and confused!!! This role he should be excelling in, releasing players and moving the ball quickly, instead he is looking to hold on to the ball and thinking as a striker. He is prising himself out of the team, this is a big moment for him at this club.

...this style of play is being replicated all over European leagues!!! It will take time to get it right and I would suspect a few little tweaks will be beneficial for his team. When this is done right it is a very exciting and impressive way to play, it needs time to iron out the kinks.

...we do tend to start the second half in a low gear, we need to keep the levels all the way through!!!

...as I stated it works if you are within the broadcast region only!!! I use Radio Leicester if I am around the Midlands and do tend to pick it up. There might be something to do with Androids and iPhones that do not have a built-in radio.

...you can get Radio Leicester on an Android!!! You will have to be able to pick up the broadcast frequency, which I believe is shared by several counties (104.9 FM) depending on where you are.

My regret is that we have chosen not to emulate the first team, it would have been a great education for the academy players and it would educate them about the bigger picture of what is going on, on the pitch, as opposed to the part they play in the team. ...very much the dark arts have come to the fore!!! You recognise what is being done and you understand why there was a "tug" or a deliberate stepping across an attacker, making little effort to try and win the ball. Didn't like to see it with the big clubs and not keen seeing us adopting the same policy. It is seen as an acceptable part of the game, and most would always have viewed it as the big clubs getting away with things. I always wanted it stamped out, as it appeared they were taking it in turns to commit the foul and still keep everyone on the pitch. It might be interesting if cumulative yellow cards could but the next bad foul into a sin bin situation for 3 minutes.

...I wonder if Vardy would look to continue playing until 40 years old!!! He seems to go against the grain in this game, having him in the Premier in some capacity would be great to see. Miller has done it, different position, but I would not rule Vardy out.

...the switch ball is always going to catch a defence out as players are pulled in towards where the actual play is taken place!!! I would be unhappy to see a player not having been tracked, but he shot across the keeper (what I am constantly imploring our players to do) and the ball hit the side netting. If the ball had hit the back netting it would have been a keeper error.

...by the sounds of Maresca's comments, he is either very keen to get this player on our books, or any alternative forward who could cover for AFCON!!!

...I have a different take on these!!! 1. Climbed above his man to score a few yards out. 2. The ball came across and was too high to hit so took a touch to take it away from the defender, and hit a diagonal shot in a crowded box, leaving the keeper rooted to the spot. 3. My best goal from the last game, the ball was laid of to KDH, and from the angle of the camera, you could see McAteer on the move, coming in late and from behind the defender, one touch collect and slide the ball in. In all aspect it was the right pass at the right time, the third man running aspect makes it impossible for the defenders to react to close him down.

...very much got buried in the talk regarding Mavididi decision making!!! Good that he picked the players pocket in our own half and ran away to finish wide of the keeper. I was unsure if he would take the shot on as support was coming. I still think he will struggle with teams sitting deep, he is a push and run merchant, he needs the space to go by defenders, if that is denied I believe he will struggle.

...Bologna is under the Kosh at the moment, pinned into their own half for the first half!!! Stats say that they are under the pump compared to total attacks, but Possession is very much equal, and on the counter, Bologna looks most likely to score. All the attacks going down the Bologna left-hand side but the Bologna centre half seems to be the one defending with Kristiansen further ahead. Verona plays very much like we do, very brave on the ball and trust each other, good team to watch.

...I think it is far too important for him to get us back up, he is not going to be taking another role!!! That Parma experience is etched into him and I do not think anything but success will wipe away what happened. I like that he sees us as a project and seeing it through is what would be uppermost in his mind, anything less would be deemed as failure and I feel he would not like the taste in his mouth, that would come with that.
