  1. No you was right, I wasn’t aware KDH fell in that financial period due to it being announced in July.
  2. Break even? We should be looking to make a profit on him! Original fee was around £13m with around £10.4m on the books. I would want anywhere between £15-£20m for Okoli, he’s got a huge amount of potential.
  3. Our wage bill was absolutely horrid that season too, losing Vards and selling Wilf & Coady has saved us around £250,000 a week on wages alone. That’s £13m a year saved in it self.
  4. I thought he was sold first few days of July, therefore falling under 24/25?
  5. 2 fullbacks need moving on prior to the end of the transfer window. VK’s injury is awful timing as I would imagine him, JJ & Coulibaly are the three options to pick two from.
  6. I don’t know where you are getting these figures from but they are hugely wrong. That summer we sold £88m worth of players….. Maddison £37.5m, Barnes £38m, Castagne £11m & Hirst £1.5m. However, Maddison was sold before the PSR deadline for the previous year so did not count towards the books that season, reducing the total sold to £50.5m. We then spent a total of £30m that summer, leaving us with a net profit of £20m on player sales. Our losses also included the huge wages of Vards. We are currently around £25m net profit this summer, so in a very similar position to the end of that summer so we don’t have much wiggle room currently. I personally expect the Bilal money to be reinvested.
  7. I don’t want to re-bump the Brownhill thread but with Marti’s comments about having enough options in the middle, it really makes me believe they are going all in on him.
  8. He’s more of a pivot type player than an attacking midfielder.
  9. Agreed they picked him up for £2m. But I don’t think he’s out of our price range if Bilal’s release clause gets activated. I think around £15m + add ons would get it done.
  10. I love this kid on footy manager Would be a good option, I’ve got my head stuck on it being Finn Azaz.
  11. What is taking us so long to bloody announce this?!
  12. I think this is public knowledge mate.
  13. I think Azaz would cost around £15m, can’t see us forking out that much without the sale of Bilal.
  14. Why? I’ve been suggesting him for a while has 12 months left on his contract. Him or Jason Knight I would love in the box to box midfielder role.
  15. Get JJ done next and we are set for the season with regards to outgoings. Huge chunk of wages saved. Puts us in a very strong position with dealing with other interest and hope no one triggers Bilal’s release clause.
  16. Could just stick with the options we have got which is very good at this level and save the wages.
  17. People talking about buying a replacement, have we forgot the plan was always to sell Mads with Jakub taking the no.1 spot and Begovic being the back up? This was always going to happen and we needed it to happen.
  18. Fair way to view it, I would have wanted £35m but looking at it this way, you would have settled for £30m. Although the total is £28m 👀
  19. Hoping there is some add ons on top of the initial fee. I have a feeling we’ve settled for slightly less than we wanted so we can kick start our recruitment.
  20. He may prefer it but personally I think you are taking his best traits away, for now Monga is a winger imo.
  21. You don’t have to start to introduce. This style of pressing football is going to require an entire squad, many of the young players will get the opportunity to prove themselves.
  22. Really hoping we don’t lose Bilal but if we do, it’s so important we reinvest that money. Finn Azaz would be my No.1 target should Bilal go. He’s got 44 G/A in 91 games across the past two seasons, absolutely ridiculous numbers. He's played all but 1 game in the championship over the past 2 years as well. 15m plus add ons I think would get it done.
  23. Very good player on the ball, questionable at best with regards to defending, no thanks.
  24. Alves isn’t ready for a starting role in such a key position for the system to work. I love Alves but he should be our rotational attacking midfielder not starting.
