Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Bluearmyfox28 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Gardening leave and give the job Kingy for the rest of the season, it’s that simple. -
I do think he will go for more even if his stock has dropped, his age and playing ability for a goalkeeper is in demand and hard to find.
-
Give me Lee Carsley or Cesar Fabregas.
-
So what are these links about the club being sold, I’ve seen several on here talk about it but absolutely nothing else other than a comment on a forum? Where’s this originated from? Why is their rumours it’s being sold? I'm confused.
-
This stood out to me too tbh. Made me think about Vards comments about Rudkin at the parade too.
-
Wouldn’t be surprised to see us go back in for Fotis Ioanndis, had no way near as good of a season so his price will have dropped.
-
Simplistic process overall…. Scouts identify and suggest targets to head of recruitment, monthly scouting meetings will take place to identify potential targets. Manager will inform DOF and head of recruitment of what’s wanted and style of player… shortlist will be drawn up based on budget available. Manager & Head of recruitment will watch footage sent by scouts of targets, with the manager identifying which players he would be happy to have. DOF attempts to negotiate a deal (This is the stage we are terrible at). If the selling club is open to negotiating they’ll often give the buying club permission to speak to the player directly regarding a move (usually they just speak through the agents anyway).
-
Hopefully the club wasn’t expecting the income and can use it to sack off Ruud.

For me this is 100% the case. The question I want to know is, can you sack a manager on the agreement that they are not paid off until July 1st allowing you to get a new manager in? -
I’m quite surprised by people’s reactions on here regarding the shortlist, I personally think it’s a better shortlist than we had when Enzo left! I’ve seen mixed reactions regarding wanting a coach or wanting a manager in charge. One thing we all agree on is we need to blood in the youth, to improve youth often you need a good coach, something to consider. Genuine links seem to point to Fabregas, Martin, Carsley & Rohl. I could go more into detail on all 4 but here’s a short overview. Fabregas - I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves for the job he’s done at Como. Yes they spend money but that doesn’t buy identity and they aren’t spending PSG type money. He’s very similar to Enzo in terms of identity but more aggressive in getting the ball into the final 3rd, with a back 4 in build up rather than 3. His interview with Lineker is also very insightful. Martin - Strangely, Martin is my least favourite which is strange considering he’s the only one that’s got the job done to “the promise land”. Southampton’s squad was no way near good enough to stay up this year, however, based on how Southampton performed in the championship was impressive. They had the biggest overhaul of all teams and were selling key players even during the start of the season. For the championship I trust he would get the job done. Carsley - I honestly believe Carsley is hugely underrated. So many players that are having great success in the premier league speak very highly of Carsley which as fans we shouldn’t ignore. He plays free flowing attacking football, empathising movement in the final 3rd and allowing players freedom to showcase themselves. Carsley focuses a lot on finding connections in 2/3 players helping link up play and focusing on individual strengths. Call me crazy but he’s one of my favourites. There is questions defensively however due to committing to many men forward. Rohl - The job he’s done at Wednesday can’t be ignored with the recent criticism he’s coming under. Of all managers shortlisted, Rohl focuses least on possession. Rohl demands a lot from his players, empathising a huge amount on pressing from the front, with the aim of trapping opponents in their own half and then loading the box with players to get on the end of chances. Whether this how Rohl wants his teams to play or not is unclear due to the lack of quality his side has, but he has installed a fighting mentality in the side. Apologies for the long post, but just short descriptions for anyone interested. I doubt anyone’s interested but if anyone wants a more detailed account on the above then I can. My personal favourites are Carsley and Fabregas.
-
Got shot down last time we was linked but personally I like his style of football. Free flowing attacking football, with a high press. He Knows how to win when the odds are against him and he likes to play with plenty of movement from players in the final third which I think we are desperate for.

https://eflanalysis.com/news/leicester-city-prepare-for-life-after-ruud-van-nistelrooy-with-surprising-managerial-candidate-on-their-radar/ Isn’t Graeme Bailey usually reliable?
-
Carsley been previously linked with the job, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s linked. He appears ready for a new opportunity.
-
Keep it and use it for a protest. Another protest should be arranged prior to end of the season… making sure it’s better than last time!
-
GK - Stolarczyk, back up goalkeeper RB - Coulibaly, JJ, Ricardo CB - Coady, New starter needed, Nelson, Souttar LB - Starter needed, Thomas CDM - Skipp, Ndidi, Winks, Hamza RW - Fatawu, Monga, McAteer CAM - El Khannouss, Alves LW - Mavididi, Alves, McAteer ST - New striker, Vardy, Evans Need: Back up goalkeeper Centre back Left back New striker Invest any money available on a centre back, left back and new striker. Blood through the youth and obviously replace any of the players in the squad if they don’t hang around. Poku should be signed should Monga leave.
-
Hermansen - £40m Vestegaard - £3m Faes - £7.5m Okoli - £10m (can’t see him staying) Kristensen - £8m Soumare - £8m Ayew - £4m Reid - £2m Daka - £8m Total = £88.5m Not sure how much that would leave for us to spend.

Safe standing - time to act

What a load of shambles being scattered around the ground will look so random and ugly. -
The master of negotiating Jon Rudkin in action once again.
-
I’ll be honest I was for this on the basis we got a few signings this season, I understood the need to raise finances. Following this shambles, the sale of Cannon and the need for a new striker likely in the championship shows even further poor management from the higher ups.
-
Jakub Coulibaly Vesty Souttar/Nelson JJ/New left back Skipp Winks Fatawu Bilal/New CAM (If Bilal does enough for a move) Mavididi New Striker Subs: Back up goalie Souttar/Nelson Thomas New CDM New CDM Monga Alves BDCR Ayew
-
Similar to Lamptey another signing that I don’t feel would be a priority right now and funds could be better spent elsewhere. Once Wilf is back him and Soumare will be your starters with Winks and Skipp as back up.
-
True, but knowing how slow we are at dealings I just feel the focus should be elsewhere. Unless this gives us a good few million extra this month to spend I think it’s a pointless signing.
-
Would it? We’ve hardly got any cash and we’re spending money on a position that doesn’t need to be spent on.
-
Can’t see him being sold for any less than what Thomas will go for so don’t see the point/need for investment here personally. We are tight on cash, prioritise positions we need!
