I honestly can’t see us signing a left back in the summer with money being tight and key areas needing strengthening. I think either Coulibaly or JJ will be competing with Thomas for the starting role.
-
For as much as I can’t stand him, imo praise has to be given to Ruud if Monga does sign a contract as well as how he’s eased him into minutes. Focusing on him as a child with his education in mind rather than another body is probably going a long way in his families minds.

Couldn’t disagree more. The club needed each and every player to step up during hard times this year, if you can’t do that I want you no way near the club. This is the reason why we have become a yo-yo between leagues. Every player can step up when times are good, but when you face adversity true colours show. People talk about the step up in quality from the championship - premier league and don’t get me wrong there is a difference but I honestly believe it is exaggerated massively. Brentford a few seasons ago had an average at best squad, Everton the last few seasons, Bournemouth etc. What’s needed is a good tactical manager and squad that wants to fight.

This is something I was about to post myself. You would think for a team like ours struggling with PSR we would be looking for every opportunity to raise further capital that isn’t affected by PSR. The stadium expansion is right there for them, which doesn’t fill me with hope that it’s going to be done.
-
More reason why the stadium expansion being so delayed is confusing.

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

VK still got £8.5m on the books so will take that at a minimum for us to sell without taking a loss which I can’t see clubs paying. I can see another loan move for VK. -
He’s been chasing that Saudi money for a minute now, only a matter of time.
-
Exactly this. @Tommy G the question you need to ask yourself is how did teams find out the like of Yamal and Nwaneri were good enough to play at that standard? It wasn’t by leaving them in the U18’s.
-
No there’s other key investors involved in King power that are not relatives.
-
But it wasn’t just Vichai making the decisions at King Power there’s multiple people involved within King Power, they wouldn’t put Top in just because it’s his son, he had to have provided some trust that he was the man to continue his fathers role. Regardless, there’s no way he’s oblivious to this, financially it’s so clear to see who’s responsible and he’s simply turning a blind eye to protect his own personal relationships. Unacceptable.
-
I would be looking at him, Woodman or even Forster as free agent back ups for next season. Forster on the basis that he become the third choice if we get promoted.
-
Absolute garbage mate, whilst we’re at it let’s write to Barca and tell them how bang out of order they were for using 15 year old Yamal in front of 100,000 fans. How did that work out? If they are good enough and mentally ready why hold them back? Next year Monga should play a rotational role behind Fatawu.

F**king love the work you boys do. Thank you!
-
Talking rubbish but I would love him, done a great job at raising the business profile of everything he’s involved in and a genuine good business man.
-
You don’t have to have built up a business to have good business IQ. King power is influenced by multiple key figures who trust Top to continue running the business, that surely shows he has some IQ no?

Lines on the pitch mate. I’m glad you stated the green though I thought you was getting onto something else there for a minute! -
This is what baffles me too. Top surely has some business IQ, if you notice your business is struggling so badly financially, surely you’ll be looking at the people making the decisions that influence that.

I’ll be honest I don’t know how it works with changes in leagues. -
If he’s not sold McAteer thrown in the mix too.

I’ve posted it in the what do we need transfer thread, but we’ve got hardly any profitable assets for PSR. Wilf, Hermansen and McAteer likely going to be marketed by the club. -

Works out around £22.1m, he current has around £15.75m on the books so a profit of around £6.35m. Sigh. -

Questioning the same thing myself, also gets me wondering, in January we was quoted to have £10m available in transfers, we sold Cannon after that quotation, we only brought Coulibaly for £2/£3m…. Where has the rest of the money gone? Have we f**ked up the accounting that badly once again in January???? The fact we didn’t negotiate a relegation clause into RVN’s contract is also shambolic. -
Hermansen - £3.9m on the books Faes - £6m on the books Okoli - £10.4m on the books Coady - £2.8m on the books Kristensen - £8.5m on the books Soumare - £3.4m on the books Skipp - £16m on the books Winks - £3.3m on the books El Khannous - £15.75m on the books Mavididi - £3.8m on the books Fatawu - £11.2m on the books Ayew - £2.5m on the books Daka - £4.6m on the books We are currently paying out £40m annually on the current squads transfer fees.
